When i download firefox 32 bit i get the 64 bit version

i am trying to get flash player to work in my 64b foxfire. it tells me to download it then says it is successful. doesn't show up in plugins at all.
i have .....
uninstalled and installed many times in IE32bit
shut off virus programs
tried to download 32 bit foxfire but when i go to about:support i have 64b version
during installations shut off all programs

Where are you downloading Firefox from? No official 64 bit version of Firefox for Windows has been released.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

When I downloaded Firefox 4, nothing from my previous version stuck, I have nothing, no bookmarks, passwords -- I really dislike Firefox 4

I have used Firefox for many, many years. Happily, blissfully. Then Firefox 4.0 comes along. Now everything has changed and my entire dashboard experience has been dashed. First of all, when I downloaded Firefox 4.0, none of the settings, bookmarks or passwords from my previous Firefox transferred. Then somehow a Yahoo search bar got loaded on, I never authorized that, not a Yahoo fan. So I reloaded Firefox 4 in safe mode without my add ons. Maybe that wiped everything out. It made me log on to Gmail each time, refused to remember my password. All of my newspaper tabs were gone. I had nothing except a new browser that had never seen me before. I got frustrated and tried to restore the old 3.6 version. So I uninstalled Firefox 4. But I did'nt check that box about removing personal data. Anyway, where do I go from here? I even out of frustration downloaded Google Chrome which I am using at the moment. I really resist MS Explorer. I always run No Script, and only Firefox allows that, keeps me safe. So at the moment, my years of bookmarks are somewhere I don't know where. I could download Firefox 4.0 again I guess. Please work with me. I must confess that I really do not like this new Firefox, you changed the whole look. But, I am not a Cretan and will work with you if you can direct me. If my bookmarks are gone, sadly, I can live with it. I had like 30 news tabs, but I can go grab them again. Dan 602-476-1977

When I download CC it comes in the Dutch version not in English

Even though I have selected English as my preferred language when I try and download CC it comes in Dutch! What is going on?

Uninstall the current version that is in the wrong language and install that new version.
* Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Now that I was sent by Microsoft to your download update site to get the latest version 4.0.1, Firefox crashes (becomes non-responsive) before opening any site page I try. When will you fix this problem?

For two weeks I have tried to use your automatic download of the latest version 4.0.1. It would sit there telling me it is trying to connect to the download computer for hours, several times overnight. Then, it became non-responsive and error messages were sent to Microsoft who directed me to your download site. After downloading your latest version several times, the new page would open. After selecting a bookmarked site, it would open (sometimes only partially) but when I tried to scroll down, it would freeze up and become non-responsive, again prompting error messages to Microsoft. I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

I want to update from 3.something to 4.something but not 5.0, but when I try to download Firefox 4, I get the Firefox 5 dmg. Help!

Not all of the logins I use daily are available yet on 5, but I do want to update, just not...fully. Is that possible?

Sorry, Firefox 4.0.1 isn't supported any longer, that's why you are getting re-directed. Firefox 5.0 is a security update for 4.0.1; Firefox 4.0 didn't get that update, but Firefox 3.6.18 did. Best to stick with 3.6.18 until whatever you are using for those logins is updated for Firefox 5.0.

first i got a popup that said my current version of firefox had a security problem, so i deleted firefox and tried to download firefox 17.0. it said my mac operating system wont support this download. i got a firefox symbol but with a line through it. i confirmed that i have mac os 10.8, so it should be supported. did i miss something in the process? can anyone help?

What is happening when I download firefox, and I get tne icon with the circle with the slash thru it, and " could not be launched -10661"

Someone did some mayhem, to my " new to me " Apple eMac G4. I came home, (the G4 was asleep) when I woke it, the trash was an eject button, I had two web pages minimized, I went on line and Firefox worked as it had before. After, I shut it down that evening, it wouldn't start up the next day, and, when, I tried, to downnload, it, I get Firefox app could not be launched -10661.

I have downloaded Firefox 4 and when I open Firefox again I get the message that my version is not safe from online attacks, so why?

I opened Firefox and got the message that I needed to download 4 because my version was not safe from attacks. I downloaded 4 and then I quit Firefox and reopened it, and got the same message as before. I am probably doing something incorrectly, but I have no idea what that could be.

When i Download firefox for windows 7 64 bit it just gives me a blank unresponsive page. Nothing works only IE9 64 bit.

I have tried everything to fix this, reset every internet option i can think of, i uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it and still just a blank white page that lets me do nothing. Just IE 9 64 bit works. I have ran avg anti-virus and then deleted avg anti- virus to try another virus program. I have a tech take over my computer for over and hour and he couldnt do it either. Well least i know IE 9 64 works and thats a step in the right direction since its been a week and i just found that i can use IE 9 64 bit today.

Nightly is a pre-release testing version of Firefox: bleeding edge and not necessarily stable. It is Firefox -- a rose by any other name, and all -- but it is buggy, as all testing software is (I'm using it right now). New Firefox versions are born from Nightly, so when a 64-bit version of Firefox is released, it will have come from Nightly development. Use it for general browsing and send feedback (Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> General) and you will be helping to beta test a new baby Firefox.

Some web pages only show as a four inch strip down the middle of my screen. Some information gets cut off from the web page. Increasing the font size does nothing to help.

You may have accidentally set the page zoom by using the keyboard shortcut to zoom out.

I am new to Mac. This didn't happen in the beginning but now when I download my email, part of the messages coming thru look like something encrypted. They are all capital letter A's inside a square. The small print seems to come thru okay. What do I do!

Restart your Mac and immediately hold down the Shift key when you hear the startup chime to boot into Safe Mode. Keep holding the Shift key until OS X asks you to log in (you will get this screen on a Safe Mode boot even if your Mac is set to automatically log in). Though actually, you can let go of the Shift key as soon as the status bar shows up on the startup screen below the Apple logo. Let the Mac finish booting to the desktop and then restart normally.
This will clear Font Book's database and the cache files of the user account you logged into in Safe Mode. Any font sets you have created will be gone. Also, all fonts in the three main Fonts folders (System, Library, your user account) will now be active, regardless of their state beforehand.
Since this only clears the user cache files, you then need to perform this step to clear all font cache files. Close all running applications. From an administrator account, open the Terminal app and enter the following command. You can also copy/paste it from here into the Terminal window, hit the return key, enter your admin password at the Password: prompt (nothing displays in the window), and hit the rerturn key again
sudo atsutil databases -remove
This removes all font cache files. Both for the system and all user font cache files. After running the command, close Terminal and immediately restart your Mac.
