When I drag a photo into my iMovie project and press play, a video still plays and not my photos.

I had a similar problem, and i found that the photo was of very low resoluton. As a test I resized the image to a lrager resolution using photoshop CS4 and re saved it as JPG. I imported the new saved image and it seem to have fixed the problem.

Hi, I have opened a new project in imovie - I have uploaded 200 photos into the project to make a Comic Book movie!
this project is 7 mins and 8 seconds long - the exact length of the audio track that I want to play during the movie!
I have selected the music by clicking the musical note button in imovie, which open up my itunes library and displays the track I want to use that is 7 mins and 8 seconds long.
When I click and drag my MP3 audio from itunes into my imovie project, i only plays the first 5 mins & 33 seconds; leaving my project in silence for the final 1 min & 3 seconds????
I have not added markers, there are no fade ins or fade outs - only the first 5 min & 33 seconds or a 7 min & 8 seconds MP3 Audio track???
I have spent 10 hours trying to rectify this problem.......
can anyone help me with this problem

Don't you mean Photos or are you still using iPhoto with 10.10.3?
Normally one gets the preview version of a photo or the edited version if it's been edited when dragging from a thumbnail to the Desktop. Don't know how you would have gotten small thumbnail versions.

How do i import photos to my iMovie project?

I am making an imovie project and using one of the imovie themes. When i try and import photos it won't let me. It also won't let me use my camera and says I need to connect a camera in order to import everything. The pictures are on my desktop already. What do i do??

How do I include the photos in a imovie project to the finished dvd so the users can have access to them?

You do this by creating a DVD-ROM section on your DVD. See this explanation from iDVD Help.
Adding files to the DVD-ROM portion of a disc
You can let viewers copy files directly from your DVD by adding the files to the DVD-ROM portion of the disc. These files are burned onto the DVD and are accessible when the disc is viewed on either a Windows PC or a Macintosh computer, but not a DVD player.
You can add any kind of file to the disc. For example, if your disc contains a slideshow, you can add the image files to the DVD-ROM portion of the disc so viewers can download them to their own computers and print them. You can also add a file containing your movie production notes and other “extras.”
To manually add files to the DVD-ROM part of your disc:
Choose Advanced > Edit DVD-ROM Contents.
The DVD-ROM Contents window opens.
Click Add Files, or click New Folder first if you want to create a folder to put the files in.
Browse to select your files or folders, then click Open to add them to the disc.
You can also drag files directly to the DVD-ROM Contents window. When you are done, just close the window.
When you add a file to the DVD-ROM portion of your disc, before you burn the disc the project contains just a reference to the location of the file on your hard disk, not the actual file. So if you delete a file from your computer or move it from its location after adding it to the DVD-ROM contents, you get a “File not found” message when you try to burn your disc. You can either remove these missing files from the DVD-ROM contents or find them on your computer and put them back in the original location so iDVD can access them.
As you add files to the DVD-ROM contents, be sure to check the DVD Capacity meter in the Project Info window to find out how many gigabytes of disc space are being used. The Capacity meter shows the disc space taken up by the video portion of the disc as well as the DVD-ROM portion.

Importing i-photos into i-movie project issue.

Hi---I posted a similar question earlier but in a very confusing way. I want to restate my question in a much clearer way:
When you import iphotos into your imovie project---do you normally lose picture quality and resolution?
My photos look fine when viewing in iphoto, but appear blurry after importing them into imovie. Has anyone else experienced this, or if not---have any idea why this is happening to me?

technically: for sure! iM is for TV, TV has 720x540 pix and is interlaced..
plus. iM offers just a lower-quality preview.. on final delivery (tape(DVD), quality is better..)
.. and yes, 'someone' did notice that before.. try forum's Search, type blurry, or pics, or stills, or fuzzy, or jags, or.. ... .. .. . .

How to move a photo into a different project

I'm trying to clean up my projects and organize them better, but I'm stuck because I have mistakenly gathered unrelated photos into too many projects. I just want to move a photo from one project to another, but I'm not getting how to do it. I've been able to merge projects which has helped a lot, but some photos just don't belong in the projects they are in. Is there some simple thing I'm missing?

Drag the selected Image(s) from the Browser and drop them on the target Project's name in the Library Inspector.
You may find it helpful to flag Images in various containers that you want to move into a specific Project, then select the Flagged container from the Library inspector, select all the flagged Images, and drag-and-drop them into the target Project.

As far as I am aware, I have always used the standard keyboard and texting apps that came with the phone. There is no swype option on the keyboard any longer. The keyboard is just standard numbers and letters that have to be pressed individually. When I go to settings to try to change anything in swype, it looks as it would if swype were working - it shows all the settings for swype are correct - it just doesn't show up when the keyboard pops up for any apps or function on the phone.
I placed the phone in SafeMode and still not able to use swype.

My iPod touch is synced to my old Mac and I have a new PC. Now when I plug my iPod into the new computer it will make the connection sound, but will not show up in my iTunes. I do not care to have the content copied over. Any suggestions?

When I plug my phone into my PC with the USB cable an advertisement starts playing on my PC. The advertisement is for an add-on product called Backup Assistant Plus. How can I stop this?
I read of a work-around to stop this, but it does not meet my needs. The work-around is to change your USB connection option from "mass storage device" to the one of the options about uploading pictures. This would not work for me because I'm connecting the cable so I can access the phone's memory as a mass storage device!
This is a seriously obnoxious problem affecting millions of people. It's a common conversation in bars, and all the iPhone fans are saying--yea, I told you so, stuff from Motorola is junk. I'd recommend that it be fixed as soon as possible!

Yes, you can stop it. When you plug in the phone, down in the lower right of your screen, click and pull up the Motorola Device Manager. Do as you please with it.
