When I enter log on details in a website what I type appears in the address bar

The first character I type appears in the website's log in space, the next characters start appearing in the address bar, so i cannot log in.

I have all tabs set to open with Google search, but when I open a new tab and start typing, the letters appear in the address bar and not the Google search bar. It didn't used to be like this!

Firefox 9.01; Windows 7 64 bit;
One of my set of home pages is the basic Google search page. When I open this, I can immediately start typing and the words appear in the Google search box.
If however I open a new tab (white cross far right of tab bar) and start typing, the words appear in the address bar, not in the Google search box. Of course once I click in the search box I can carry on: but I'd like to make it start there as it does with the homepage.

If you want a specific webpage (like the Google page) to always open when you open a New Tab, you can use the following add-on to Open New Tabs with your Favorite Pages:

Do a malware check with some malware scan programs. You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

Firefox doesn't redirect us to the website when we type the name of the website in the address bar

Before when I typed orkut in the address bar of Firefox 3.6 and press enter, it automatically goes to that site by adding www & .com . But now when I type it in the address bar, it takes me to Google search results for orkut and then from there I have to click on the website. Can anyone help me solve this problem? The back, forward, reload and stop buttons are greyed out, the address bar stays blank when I go to a website and firefox loads to a blank page, not my home page. There are 3 users on this computer and it only happens on one user.

When I send a group email why does the address bar not present the names alphabetically?

I frequently send emails to groups. Sometimes, for one reason or another, I want to delete one or more contacts from the list that appears in the address bar. Why does the list not appear in alphabetical order and is there any way that I can edit my contact lists to make it do so? The Business standard and professionalism are not based on the Eudora way of things. I suggest you stick undisclosed-recipients: into a google search box and get instructions on how to do things for all the major mail clients.
Of note Thunderbird displays nothing in the To field, even though the undisclosed-recipients: is inserted in the outgoing mail.

I am interested however how when you added a list so it appears on multiple lines. All I see is he list name until after I press the send button and look at it in the sent folder.
Most people use another address entirely in the to:, in conjunction with the BCC list. It verifies the list mail is sent by coming back and you can put whatever you like in the display name of the email address.

if there's no Reader button, it usually means Safari has decided it's not suitable for the Reader feature.
try http://lab.arc90.com/experiments/readability/ : assuming that you do see the Reader button there, then your Safari seems to be working correctly, and the readability bookmarklet may prove useful.

In the address bar,when I click enter it wont go,i have to click the arrow? this changed about two days ago. Id really like to get it to go back to just clicking enter and it goes.

This issue can be caused by an extension that is not working properly.<br>
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).<br />

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.<br />
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
