It seems that you have a upgrade serial number for CS 6, which is why it is asking you to provide qualifying serial number.
You must have a CS 5 or CS 5.5 product serial number. Kindly select the product from the drop down menu and provide the serial number. It should work for you.

Your CS6 must have been purchased as an upgrade. What it is asking you to select/provide is the name/serial number of the previous version you purchased that qualifies you to install and activate the CS6 upgrade version... this would be likely be one of CS3 thru CS5.5.

You are trying to install Production Premium CS6 upgrade version which is asking for previous version of this production.
Fortunately you have the production premium CS5 full version also purchased & registered.
You need to install that serial number ir resrespective of the fact whether it is installed on this system or not.
You can get the serial number in your account of www.adobe.com.

The dropdown list does not include Acrobat 11 Pro as it is the current product and you have to select the older product you owned prior to purchasing A11 Pro.

I got my Photoshop CS6 to the Installer and once it has me put in my serial number, it is telling me "The serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer.

your cs6 serial number is an upgrade from a previous version. after entering your cs6 serial number you should be prompted for the previous version's serial number.
enter the correct number at the correct time and installation should proceed.

Not very good office/employee management... but if you DID know who, and you had his/her Adobe ID, you could go to https://www.adobe.com/account.html for a list of activated programs

Acrobat XI Standard installs fine but I receive the error message after putting my serial number in, "Serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer."

The message identifies that you have purchased an upgrade version of the applications and it is asking you to identify the previous version of that application that you are upgrading from and then to provide its serial number.
If you did not intend to purchase an upgrade version then you probably need to cancel that and purchase it at full price.

I have downloaded the 2 correct files which automatically extract everything, but when I get to entering the serial number, it tells me that my serial number is valid, but there isn't a qualifying product found on my computer. Your serial number is for an upgrade (as opposed to a full version = full price serial number).
An upgrade serial number must be supported by a serial number from an earlier qualifying version in order to prove to the CS6 installer that you are entitled to use the upgrade (cheaper) serial number.
For CS6 "earlier qualifying" usually means CS5 or CS5.5. Those should be the versions listed in the dropdown menu.
So do you have a CS5 or CS5.5 serial number?

I downloaded a trial version on my new computer and ended my product key.
The software downloaded and installed but when I go to use it I get this message "Serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifiying product could not be found on this computer".
Apparently this is due to my product key being an upgrade licence (I had a previous version of Acrobat before I upgraded on my old machine.
How do I get XI to work on my new machine?

Did you upgrade from a previous version of Acrobat? The "qualifying product" is the older version that you owned before you purchased the upgrade. It is what qualifies you to use the less expensive upgrade version. So you need to select the older version and provide its serial number to prove that you qualify for using the upgrade.

after entering your xi pro serial number the installer checks your computer for that pro v8 product. failing to find it you will be presented with a menu that allows you to select your qualifying product (pro v8) and you then will be prompted for its (pro v8) serial number.
