I am attempting to set up a firefox sync account but cannot get past this first stage. The set up will not accept my email address

Have you tried to finish typing the email address and wait for a couple of seconds? The validation takes a little time and it's not really clear. Ignore the message until you have introduced your email completely.
If you are reusing the email that could be also a problem. Make sure the email address you are using is new and it hasn't been used for Firefox Sync before.

I am trying to activate a first gen iPad with WiFi and 3G. When I go to Settings, Cellular Data, and View Account to activate the iPad, I get an error message that says, "SIM is Invalid. Pleae use a different SIM."
There is a SIM PIN option, and when I click that it asks for the PIN. I don't have a PW for the SIM (the iPad was a slightly used gift, and none of the paperwork came with the iPad).
Any ideas on how to activate the iPAD?
Thanks!Did you check your user name and password in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap your email account, tap SMTP, then tap the primary server name. Make sure the settings there are correct.

Seems like the downloaded file was corrupt that could be because of either network restriction or the anti virus might have blocked it. My suggestion would be to try and download the product either by turning off the Antivirus or try a different network.

When I launch Firefox 4.0.1 I get an error message that says "We noticed your may have signed inor signed out in another window. Click Ok to reload your page." I deleted Firefox and reloaded it - did not solve the problem. This started occurring after I downloaded Windows Service Pack 2. I have Vista 7 OS. So every time I close and relaunch Firefox, I have to sign in with my username and password. Very very, annoying. If I can't get this corrected, I have to start using another Browser. Thanks for your help. Richard
It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Thanks.IMHO the free apps are a band aid fix. If the OP uses Office on a regular basis he will need to upgrade anyway. Personally I have used neooffice and found it substandard however that was just my take. I haven't tried Google's solution.
We both forgot to mention the OP could also use Pages and Numbers to open their Word and Excel files. If he uses Entourage then Mail and iCal would be viable substitutes. -

I have a dell 320 optiplex 1.80 GHz. as stated above when I try and download certain items i get an error message essentially telling me that my version of Firefox is not compatible with ?(item i'm trying to download) the most recent was Google toolbar. the irony of it all is that I have version 5.0 installed so not unless I miss something when I initially installed Firefox 5.0 would be the latest version
If you don't already have the "Google Toolbar" why would you want it, it is a problematic extension as are most third party toolbars. I would expect that anything that just about anything that you would use it for can be done with a bookmarklet. As for searching, the builtin Firefox search bar is wonderful you can add or create search engines for it.

I have the exact same problem.
Been searching through this site to try and find an answer but still not come up with anything.
The wierd thing is that a couple of days ago it was working fine, and suddenly overnight it's stopped working.
The only solution i've found is that you need to have administrator rights as it says in the posts on the site below:

Noticed by the diagnostic in your post that you dont have admin rights like me so that mite be the problem. Not sure if this is the right solution though.

When I try to play a movie I downloaded from iTunes on my apple tv, the error message I get says the apple tv is not authorized to play the movie. I reauthorized the computer to be sure it is authorized ( as per Apple advice).
Welcome to the Apple Community.
If this is the Apple TV 1, this is a new issue which started with any new protected content purchased after October 28.
You could de/re authorise your computer, disconnect and reconnect the library and resync your content, alternatively purchasing content directly from the Apple TV also appears to resolve the problem. -
When looking at my gmail, I want to open google calendar, but get the above error message. Cookies are enabled, default settings are still I place. This works fine when I use IE. HELP!
This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
