When I go to download quicktime, page displays plugin failed.

Everytime that I go to download quicktime for my ipod shuffle I get error message plug in failed; Quicktime failed to initialize error #2095. I have tried several times to download quicktime

I use a PC and had the same issue with Firefox, but IE7 worked for me, FYI....

Firefox 3.5 was downloaded fine, but when I try to open firefox page, "the application failed to initialize properly" error sign comes up.

When publishing IWEB site parts of page display then disappear

I am new to IWEB and am using a template to for my website. As I modify the templates and pages and the publish them when I view them all of the welcome and About me pages initially the full page is displayed but the parts of the page disappear and go blank. I have cleared cache. Am using firefox. The page that is giving me problems is

I have a list of doctors on the side which display and then disappear. I have the same problem with other pages where indormation of the right side (list, pictures) initially is displayed and then goes blank.

In Firefox, cleared cache, cleard cookies. stopped firefox and cleared again..
When I go to the site and click on history of backpain page it initially dislays my text or narrative on the left and the list of doctors on the righthand side but then immeidately the list of doctors disappears.
If I click on the Doctors page which list doctors I am dealing with it initially (for a second) displays the two doctors with their info but then it refreshed just just the name Dr Stuart Solan.
and the same activity reoccurs when I do a refresh. What am I missing.

When I try to download the Adobe flash plugin, firefox crashes.

I'm on an android, and when I go to the Adobe archive to get the flash plugin, it opens a new tab and says it's loading the page, but it just sits there. When I try to go back, or even if I just let it sit there a bit, it locks up and firefox restarts. This has happened several times now. I'm at a total loss for what to do.
I recently had to reset this device, and before I did firefox played videos just fine. I didn't have to go to the archive at all. What can I do?

Try doing this the manual way,
Make sure your Android device is connected to the Internet.
Open the Settings menu.
Select Security (or Applications, on older Android OSs).
Place a checkmark next to the "Unknown sources" check box.
Tap OK to confirm your selection.
Close Settings.
Launch the browser.
Search for "flash player archive page" or navigate directly to http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions. html
On the Archive page, scroll down to "Flash Player for Android archives"
Select a version of Flash Player that is compatible with your Android operating system.
Tap the link to download the Flash Player installer. Download begins automatically.
When download completes, close the browser.
Open Notifications.
Tap "install_flash_player.apk"
When prompted, tap Install.
When installation is finished, tap Done.

When I download a page a message says cannot find zip file directory

When I try to download a page a message appears after the download time saying in part that "cannot find zip file directory". This message appears on all downloads I attemp.

It is possible that in the upgrade to Lion iTunes has been installed with the current default options while your library is based on an older structure. Use Get Info. on a missing track, click cancel when asked to locate it and look at the path given on the summary tab. Now look for the actual file with Finder. Post both paths back here and we can try to make sense of the problem.

Downloading quicktime for a mac on a Windows PC

Yes, I know this is a rather strange quest. but I cannot currently access the internet on my Mac till I get an airport card to connect to the wireless network here in the house. I am currently using my housemate's comp. and when I go to download Quicktime to a USB flash drive with the intention of transferring it to my Mac, it automaticall takes me to a Windows download without any option to do it for Mac. Obviously, it must be reading his operating system automatically. I'm assuming that Macs cannot use "exe" files, so is there a way around this? I tried to email Apple Support directly, but there isn;'t any apparent way to do that.
I do realize that my question may be a bit on the stupid side and Windows is kind of a dirty word in these parts (why do you think I switched to a Mac in the first place ) but please bear with me as I am totally new to this. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. And the reward for that will be any other stupid questions I may encounter in this wonderful, but complicated, new world of Macs. Isn't that great? Ha, ha.

I was confused at first as why you couldn't download the Mac version from a PC. I even went to versiontracker.com, select Mac OS X, search for quicktime, click download, which brought me back to Apple downloads and, you guessed it, Windows download.
At download.com, you can download the Mac version (dmg) of quicktime, but it's the previous version 7.2.

Why doesn't Page Display obey its setting in Preferences

Using Reader 9.2. I have Page Display setting in Preferences set to 'Single Page Continuous'. Yet when I open a pdf, the Page Display is set to 'Single Page' instead of 'Single Page Continuous'. Why?

Probably not. The default setting is "default" which allows the viewer to control it with their preferences.

Configuring Page Display in Preferences

I have Adobe Reader 6.0 on a Win98SE computer. When I go to "Edit", "Preferences", "Page Display" comes up first. There is a section at the bottom "Magnification" with 2 boxes, Default Zoom, Max Fit Visible Zoom. Both boxes have question marks, other jibberish, what am I supposed to enter in these boxes? I keep on getting an error window saying "The value of the magnification must be "Fit Page", "Fit Width", "Fit Visible", "Actual Size", "Reflow" or it must be a value between 8.33% and 6400%", then won't let me make any other settings, I just keep getting the same error window. I am a non-techie so please make your reply easy to follow. Thanks.

Reader always opens, maximized, when pdf accessed through IE7. I have tried to re-size, close, and re-launch from browser but reader ALWAYS reverts to opening maximized. I can open Reader, minimize it, and then access a pdf from the browser and it will open inside the minimized Reader window but that is the only way I can open a pdf to a minimized Reader window from my IE7. How do I clear this or reset something so the pdf will open in a minimized Reader window? I've looked in so many different places for this answer over the past few days and nothing.

I sounds like you have the first generation (1G) iPod Touch with an iOS earlier than 2.0, Yu can identify your ipod here:

Multi-user system, non-admin-users get "error 46" when downloading quicktim

Thanks in advance if you have some idea about where the root cause is.
Error message:
"Error 46: Could not load or find the QuickTime ActiveX control."
Context:
- WinXP SP2 fully patched (as of 06/20/2006)
- Multiple users: 1-Admin, all others a member of the Users group
- Simple File Sharing is enabled (this problem does not change when this option is disabled)
- iTunes 4.9.x and QuickTime 7.1 installed
- Programs have been uninstalled and reinstalled several times, with no change
Symptoms:
- All system users can view quicktime movies when they are embedded in web pages.
- Administrator can launch quicktime and view *.mov files, all others get Error 46 (see above) when attempting to launch quicktime or double-clicking on .mov files
- File association properties (under Contorl Panel | Folder Options | File Types) shows .mov opens with QuickTime Player (deselecting this displays WMP as the application)
- Users Browsing to a directory where .mov files are located, displays the WMP icon instead of quicktime (as under folder options)
This all used to work. It appears that this became broken in the last month or two, after either patching XP, or installing QuickTime 7.1 to gain H.264 codec functionality.
Is there a guaranteed way to force system wide file assoc that is reliable?
Is there a tool that parses the registry and displays what activeX controls are in use for a particular system operation?

Fixed this using http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Regmon.html and regedit.exe.
On my system, found that non-admin users were being denied access to these registry keys:
HKEYCLASSESROOT\QTOControl.QTControl
HKEYCLASSESROOT\QTOControl.QTControl.1
fix (both): add group users: read
That's because the non-admin accounts are members of the "users" group on my system. You may need to adjust this to match what is on your system.
Regedit can modify these permissions (but don't do it unless you are confident you can recover if you cause a problem). An easy fix, once the problem is identified. Some of you have already figured this out already.
Use regmon to get comfortable with how it works, make sure you grok the filtering, it's your friend.
Modifying the registry at your own risk. Remember to use a registry backup utility! I used http://www.fixregistry.com/download.htm "Registry Healer"
All non-admin users are operational at this time. I did not have to update iTunes and H.264 content works!
So it looks like this is a bug in the QuickTime 7.1 installer? Anyone have any insight about why this is happening with some regularity (at least according to the message board posts I'm seeing this month...)

I am trying to download the newest Itunes to windows 7. I did have a previous version that I used the control panel to delete. When I click on download, I get a small partial window in the upper left corner showing Internet Explorer Cannot Display the Web

Okay. Let's see if you've acquired some kind of restriction for the download site. These settings checks/changes apply to the IE downloads, so we'll be trying to use IE again.
Head into your Internet Options control panel, and click the Security tab. Click Restricted Sites.
Check to see if the following website is listed as a restricted site:
appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net
If it is, remove it from your list of restricted sites and try another download.
If still no joy, head back into the security tab of the Internet Options control panel. Click Trusted Sites this time. Click the "Sites" button.
Add appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net as a trusted site. Uncheck the "Require server verification" box. Now click OK and try another download.

Quicktime 10 did not download when i press the download button

i have problem when viewing trailers from apple.com/trailer.
my problem is that i can't download the trailer when i hit the download button to view the trailers via quicktime.
However, it is working when i hit the watch button.
can someone help me to solve this problem?

and added another j4j tag next to the command button tag
