When I go to video my screen goes black
When I try to view videos on my iPad the screen is black. How do I get it to work again?
Got Video to work by rebooting on the black Video screen......hope that helps

When using bbbc I player the screen goes black after 30 secs and only get audio. I have latest version of the app and also tried via web browser. Any advice it is so frustrating
Is this an app bbbc? IF it is I would contact the app developer and see if they can resolve the issue for you.

When in Final Cut My MacBook Screen goes black
I was working on Final Cut on my Macbook Pro and everything was running smoothly until I used the "help" tab to find out how to freeze frame. I moused over to the drop down window to hit the command and I either clicked on it or something around it, then my screen went black. I have a dual screen and nothing happened to my external monitor. Now the weird thing is when I use any other program my Macbook screen comes back to normal. It even comes back to normal when a Final Cut prompt windows come up on the screen but as soon as I answer the prompt the screen goes back to black. Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I got my iPad 3 weeks ago and has been fine, yesterday went to use the video and it won't load the screen
Try this
tap home button twice to show open apps. Press and hold video app till it jiggles then tap red circle to close.
Tap home button again to go back to home screen. Open video app and try again.
Still problem? then try this
Make sure IOS is updated to latest version
Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings (or for network connection issues 'reset network settings').
(no media or data will be deleted from the device, this will only take a minute). -

Sounds a bit like a hardware problem, faulty RAM in particular. Run the Hardware Test (see http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303605) which is either on a separate CD/DVD or on the install disk 1:
- Make sure that no peripheral devices (printer, keyboard, mouse,...) are attached to the computer.
- Insert the disk and reboot while holding down the "D"-key on the Macbook's keyboard.
- Run the tests (also try the extended one if the other doesn't find any errors)
If the test finds an error report back to Apple with the error number. If the computer is still under warranty, they should organize a repair.

Laptop is moved....screen goes black
I upgraded to snow leopard a couple of months ago and a couple of weeks ago I started having this problem: sometimes (and it seems to be happening more and more) when I move my laptop ( the screen goes black (sounds like it goes into sleep mode) but I can't get it back and will have to shut it down and restart. This happens when its running on the battery or plugged in. Any ideas?

Im not a technician but I agree with the user above. For me it sounds like a hardware problem and you should go to an authorized service provider. The technicians can check your notebook and exchange faulty notebook parts.

I-Pad won't import photos using Camera Connector. Screen goes black. What t
I purchased a 16 gb I-Pad. I bought it on line from the Apple store. I also purchased a Case and a Camera Kit.
I have been unable to use the Camera kit. Every time I try the connection is broken between the I-Pad and the Camera Connector. I thought that maybe I had a bad Camera Connector so I had my friend try it on her I-pad. No problem! Worked great. She was able to select and import all photos and when the import was complete it told her. We used her Camera Connector on my I-pad just to double check but just as before when the import process begins the screen goes black and if I'm lucky maybe 1 pic will import. We used my camera card on both I-pads so I feel confident that it is not the camera card. How can I get this fixed? Is there something I need to do? Has anyone else had this problem?Thanks for the suggestions. I have removed the I-pad from the case to eliminate the possibility that the Camera Connector wasn't making good contact. Didn't think about the sleep & home button. The connector I use when plugging into my computer works well. No problems, the I-Pad is visible in I-tunes and I can sync and make changes without issue. Just the Camera Connector is unable to import. The connector sees the photos and I can select them but when importing it goes black. Thanks again.

Screen goes black when hooking up to TV via mini-DVI to video adapter...

Ever since I upgraded my PB12" to 10.5.x (now running 10.5.5, but this issue has been there since upgrading to 10.5.1), when I hook up the mini-DVI to video adapter (different adapter than for hooking up to an external display as the mini-DVI to video adapter has composite and sVideo out) to my TV, the PB screen goes black. It's set up to mirror the PB on the TV, and the PB continues to run, picture works on the TV, but I loose picture on the PB. Only way to get it back is to reboot the PB (with the mini-DVI to video adapter unplugged). So, basically, if I try and use the mini-DVI to video adapter, I loose picture on the PB. This never happened under 10.4.x — only since upgrading to 10.5.x.
Anyone have this issue? Know of a fix?

Kristin.If you connect the MacBook using a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter you will probably need to use external speakers or a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA sound plugs connected to a stereo sound system if your TV doesn't have separate RCA input plugs or a 3.5mm stereo input plug for audio with the HDMI plug. The Mini DisplayPort to HDMI doesn't carry audio unless you have the Mid 2010 model 7,1 and there're no audio plugs on most TVs to work with HDMI since it's expecting audio with the HDMI.
If you have the Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody or Late 2009 model 6,1 White Unibody with the Mini DisplayPort rather than the Mini-DVI there is an adapter that can combine video and audio to HDMI.

The video on my iPad 2 is frozen on a tv show, although it will play the tv show until the end. At the end, when I click 'done' the screen goes black so I can't see the other movies that I've downloaded. I've shut down a few times but it reverts to the same thing. How can I re-set the video feature or do what is necessary to get it working again?
Have you tried resetting the iPad:

Satellite L405D-11V - Freezes and screen goes black when watching video
Ok, so I have the Toshiba Satellite L405D-11V, I have had a fault, basically, the computer would freeze at any time and the screen would go black, with the fan and lights still going, this could be on start-up, or a few hours into using the laptop, so I decided to ring up Toshiba's tech support and they arranged for my laptop to be collected and sent off for repairs.
I was able to track the repairs online through the tracking service, and was able to see what they were doing to my laptop, it said that they ordered a part, it was in progress and the repairs were finished.
However, I got the laptop back today, I turn it on, everything is fine, I start using the laptop everything is fine, then I decide to watch a video on youtube, and it freezes again, so, I power off holding down the power button, hoping it was just a one off, I turn it back on, and load up the video again, it freezes and the screen goes black again, after working out that when ever I watch a video or play a game, it causes the computer to crash and freeze like before the repairs. So there is still a fault, but im not sure what to do
Its still under warranty, I purchased the laptop from Comet, but I dont really want to send the laptop off for repairs again and to find it will come back with the same fault, is it worth sending it off again, perhaps seeing if comet will replace the laptop as its still under a year of buying the laptop, or is it just gonna be worth saving all the hassle and buying a new laptop? If this fault has happened to anyone else, I could sure use some help, and if someone could shed a little light as to what might be wrong?

Did you change something on configuration after you got your notebook back from repair? Did you update a driver or something else?
What operating system you are using on your Satellite L405D?
To be honest its really hard to say why it happens because the technicians test everything to check if your notebook runs properly.
In my opinion you should try updating the display driver. Maybe its causing the issue
If not I would recommend installing Windows from Toshiba recovery disk to restore factory settings. These settings are pretested by Toshiba and should work.
If you still have the problem you must contact the technicians again. I mean you could track the repair online and according your posting everything worked well during repair so in my opinion it shouldnt be a problem to contact the guys exactly.
Explain your problem very detailed. I think everything can be clarified then. :) -
I have a iPad, 32g, and for no apparent reason, the screen goes black and whatever app I am using is closed on me. It seems to be happening more and more frequently, especially when loading apps, or trying to watch a YouTube video. I try to open safari or youtube again and it will often crash several times before it may or may not decide to load for me. It is extremely annoying and getting to the point where I can not use it
Standard troubleshooting steps in order are as follows:
Power the iPad off and on.
An iPad reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release.
Restore your iPad with iTunes from your iPad's backup.
Restore your iPad with iTunes as a new iPad or not from your iPad's backup.
If no change after the last step, your iPad has a hardware problem. -
I just downloaded ios 7 and when I'm recording video the camera screen goes black and doesn't record anything. Also in control centre music control doesn't work sometimes. It's been three days.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
