When I got to sync on itunes it gets to process 5 of 5 and then shuts down saying wasn't working right

I have the new iOS 5 downloaded on my touch 4g and now when I hook it up to the computer it starts to go through the sync process and gets to 5 out of 5 starts to run and then says iTunes isn't running right and windows is shutting it down.  Why is it doing this?  I have uninstalled and redownloaded it and it still isn't working right.  Plus I have no tabs on my Safari like they said the update would.

i don't know...it says windows is trying to find a solution and when it does it will fix it.  I want to know if it is their end still messed up or my end.  Cause I thought it was me yesterday and when I called they were like, no it is us and we are fixing it.  So I hope it is them still.

When I try to launch the Itunes app on my Iphone, it starts and then quits right away.  What should I do?

    I would reinstall iOS 7.
Open iTunes (11.1 or later) on your computer and plug your iPhone into your computer.
    Sync your iPhone with iTunes.
Click on your iPhone device and from the Summary Tab, Back up using iCloud and/or iTunes.
On your iPhone, open Settings/iCloud and turn off Find My Phone.
In iTunes, click on the Restore button on the Summary tab next to Check for Updates.
iTunes will completely wipe your phone and reinstall iOS 7.
Setup your iPhone as new and restore from your back up.
Check to see if the iTunes app is functioning correctly and not closing on you.
I did this last night when setting Limit Ad Tracking kept closing Settings and taking me back to the Home screen. After reinstalling iOS 7, the issue went away.

What iPhone do you have? You can check in settings>>general>> about.
If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.

  • I have windows7 and my ipad2 completes only 1 or 2 steps and then shuts down with completely syncing

When I connect my iPad2 to my computer (Windows7) and open iTunes to sync, it completes only a couple of syncing steps before I receive a windows error message and it shuts down.  This does not happen when I connect my iPod to my computer, open iTunes and sync.  Both the IPad2 and Ipod2 have the same music, photos etc.  Is this like to be an iTunes problem, or iPad problem, and if so, is there a program I can download to allow a complete sync?

Thank you for your reply BDAqua.
Yes I ran short and the Extended Test. All pass. One of the first things I did is Safe Boot several times I also repaired permissions. Safe boot takes no longer than before the crashes and as long as I stay in safe boot mode it won't crash. What does that mean?I also ran MacJanitor and removed the SCCUZI card Apple put in when I bought the G4 as well as an M-Audio Delta 66 card which I do not use (both) anymore. I also started up on an external firewire drive 10.4.6. It also (crashes) does the same thing.
I was hoping somebody understands the crash report I enclosed? Isn't that suppose to say what went wrong?
Thank you again for your input BDAqua

I have a mac OS X and when I close it and reopen my screen opens and then shuts down for an instant and then reopens.  Does anyone have this occur??  I have shutdown and restarted often.

A Safe Mode boot might help ..
Startup your Mac in Safe Mode
A Safe Mode boot takes much longer than a normal boot so be patient.
Once you are in Safe Mode, click Restart from the Apple () menu.
    See if the problem persists.

  • When I try to use my iCloud backup it takes forever to backup and then sometimes it says unable to backup

When I try to use my iCloud backup it takes forever to backup and then sometimes it says unable to backup what do I do

If you get the error "Backup not successful" and you've tried deleting the last backup and trying to back up manually without luck, try the following test:   Go to...
Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>manage Storage, tap your device name in the Backups section, then look under Backup options.  Turn off all apps from backup and then do a manual backup.  If that doesn't work, then this post will not help.  If the backup works, then go back to the app list and turn some on and try another backup.  If successful, keep repeating these steps.  If it fails at some point, then try to zero in on the one app that seems to make the backup fail.  (I had this problem and found one app failing, probably due to a corrupt data file.)
This process will take time, but if a backup works with no app data being used but clearly fails with the original settings, then somewhere in the mix of apps is a "bad" one.

  • My iTunes rented movie plays for 24 seconds and then Windows 7 says it needs to close down the program. Help.

The movie is downloaded, I know where it is, I can start in different chapters, but it only works for 24 seconds before it shuts down and I have to close the program.  I have uninstalled iTunes, Quick Time and downloaded and installed after restarting my computer.  How can I watch the movie?  In the past, it has worked, but this is the second time I try and I just lose my rental. Please help.

Ok. So I created a new account and iTunes did work. I went back into my original account and tried again and just to be more clear, after I open iTunes it asks me to accept or decline the agreement, I do that, then it says "updating library", and then one all the bars are full it closes and says "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close."
okay, let's start working through the user-account-specific causes of this message.
one possibility is damaged itunes preference files in the user account in which you're getting the crash. (there's a different set of those in each different user account, which is how we can get crashes limited to a single user account.)
if that is what is going on, we can often get past this by rebuilding the preference files in the account that is crashing. for the preference files rebuild technique, see my reply to kusma in this post:

I am trying to lauch an application on my ipod touch.  When I try, it opens for about 2 seconds and then immediately closes.  I deleted the application, reset and restarted my ipod and then download the application again.  Still no success.  The application is legit:  Crunchtime for Contracts.
    Any suggestions?

I suppose the app has problems with your soft and hardware. Or maybe its a known bug of that app.
    Try Uninstalling->Rebooting->Installing->Rebooting.
