When I have 4 or 5 tabs open, selecting one of them often forces that tab to open as a new window and close in the original window

FF 32.0.1. Moving between tabs that are already open, clicking on one which I have opened before forces it to close and open as a new window, which is a real pain. It seems to happen when I have 4 or 5 open tabs, rather than 2 or 3.
This has only been happening in the last week, after a clean Windows reinstall.
I've searched and found lots of people have problems with new windows opening when they just want a new tab, but this seems to be about opening fresh tabs rather than returning to one that's already open, so I can't find the same problem as I describe.

This can happen if you drag a tab slightly down in the browser window while clicking.
Firefox has a feature called tear-off tabs
You can detach a tab from the current window and open it in a new window by dragging a tab in the browser window.
You can also do this via the right-click context menu of a tab: Move to New Window
You can drag that tab back to the tab bar in the original window to undo that detaching.

Anytime that a new window is opened (such as when sending an email message or opening a pdf) I am unable to click on the new window. I can't click send or click on the scroll bars of the new window. Open a new window, draw boxes in the window, and communicate between the two windows

I'm going to research this, but figured I'd jump start here in case someone can give me a quick link or point me in the right direction on how to do this while I'm looking. This is an area of Flex I haven't hit on yet.
Basically I need to have my flex app (AIR Application) open a new window, allow the user to draw a box on that new window, and then pass the info of the box (X and Y, Width and Height) back to the main window.
I've never done any of that and am going to try to find out how, but if someone could point me here before I find it online, that would help a great deal, kind of in a time crunch.... thanks.

You can open the new window as a TitleWindow popup. You can pass info back to the main app using mx.core.Application.application.
In main app:

Looking ahead, it is best to pass information between the main app and components using custom components. Below systemManager, popups and the main app are in different display lists, so add event listeners for custom events to systemManager. My Flex Cookbook post on custom events shows this:

When I have multiple browser windows open - but in the "minimized" mode - and I want to open up one of them for viewing, ALL of the windows automatically open as well. How do I prevent this annoying function. I cannot find it anywhere in the options.

This does not appear to be a system issue, but rather a functional aspect of the browser windows. E.g., if I have 7 browser windows open to different sites... and all are Minimized, and I decide to open one to study, THEY ALL POP OPEN automatically. I am using Firefox v3.6.8 on Windows 7. This is an annoying behavior of the browser, and I am sure it can be somehow "turned off" but cannot determine how to do that. I have looked through all options. I am not a techie, but have reasonable proficiency with software apps.

Thank you for your response. My operating system is XP. When I try to open a pfd document I just get a series of letters and symbols in a dialog box. The top of the box says "select the encoding that makes your document readable". I can choose Windows, MS-Dos, or other (there is a long list to choose from). None seem to make a difference. If I save the document to my desk top I can right click on it and choose an option "Open with AdobeReader 9" and it opens fine.

What operating system does your computer use? What happens when you attempt to open a PDF document rather than saving it first? Please include any/all error messages. Also, have you tried opening documents from other locations or just one in particular?

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!

In FF 4 Beta 11 I open a new window, middle click a link in the new window, but the new tab opens on the original window.

To navigate to that folder, open the folder "Library" directly on your Macintosh HD, then inside the Library folder go to Application Support, then iPhoto. Is there anything installed?

Content is permanently tied to the account it is acquired with.
Apple ID's cannot be deleted.
Simply sign out of the undesired account and stop using it. Sign in with the desired account.
