The Cannot Setup Sync message indicates that you don't have internet access. Check that you can get your phone online (3g or wifi) and then try to connect again.

I decided to add music to it the other day and received the same message. I tried all of the usual steps but nothing has worked. I finally restored it to factory settings, have nothing on it and it still will not let me write to it. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

So our school lets us use Macbook Airs for the school year, and it has facetime on it. I know facetime isn't blocked because like everyone else is using it. So I decide to give it a try. I click the icon, it says enter your apple ID. I dont have one, so I click to make one, and do so. I then enter my apple ID and click next. The screen reads "People will call you using your email address. What email address would you like to use?" I enter my email address in the box below the message, and then go to my email and click the link, and sign in, thus verifying the email. I go back to the facetime window, and click next. At the top it says Verified, but when I click next it doesn't go on to the next step, it simply blacks out the next button so that I can not click it, and after a few minutes a message comes up that says "Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again."
So that is the issue, please help!!!!!

Since you are using one of the the school's Macbooks, it is quite possible that the time and date are not properly set on the computer that you are using. FaceTime will not work if you do not have the proper time zone set up for the location that you are in. This past week, there were a two other Macbook users I've helped by simply telling them to set the Date/Time properly. By the way, you described your problem very well, which makes it easier for us to help you. Hope this solves your problem -- if not, post back and I can suggest other remedies.

I have created PDF from hardcopy by using my scanner. After I run OCR option for my PDF by using Acrobat Pro 9. But "Text-to-speech" functionality of the PDF says that an error message comes up that says the page is empty when I turns on the read out loud option in Acrobat. Kindly help me to sortout this problems?
So I tried generating the same PDFs on two other computers that have Acrobat 9 Pro. Results were reproduced. The verdict is:
- complex PDF files (that is, containing cross-references, tables of contents, and bookmarks) generated by Acrobat 9.x Pro are roughly 2-5x larger than the identical file generated with Acrobat 8.x Pro.
- different PDF conversion settings make a negligable difference (less than 10% rather than 70-80%).
- using the "Reduce File Size" or "Optimize PDF" option cuts the file size roughly in half, almost always resulting in a "image downsampling mask" warning message, which requires acknowledgement (that is a problem for batch processing or automation).
- adding an Acrobat watermark to the file cuts the file size roughly in half.
- just using Save As to another filename has no effect on file size.
- generating the PDF in Acrobat 9 with links but no PDF bookmarks still results in the inflated file size.
- generating the PDF in Acrobat 9 without any links or bookmarks results in approximately the same file size as the Acrobat 8 PDF with full links and bookmarks.
It appears that Acrobat 9's manner of adding links is what's bloating the files, and in my case it's probably not related to images or image resolution/print quality. It's a shame, because Acrobat 9 seems to have made some improvements to the Review Tracker interface, and a few other bells and whistles which I haven't really gotten around to exporing yet. But unless I find a way to keep my links and the PDF file sizes comparable to what I was getting with Acrobat 8 Pro, it looks like I'm going to stay with Acrobat 8. -
iTunes is unable to run. I tried to run iTunes and a message comes up that says "the iTunes library.itl file is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have write permission for this file." what is the solution to unlock it ?!

The iTunes upgrade didn't complete. Message comes up that says: "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privideges to start system services." ...And neither Abort, Retry, or Ignore work.

I am unable to access my email from Charter.net. I can sign in with my password, then a message comes up which says "The plug-in for this page has been disabled. Click here to manage your plug-ins." All of my plug-ins are enabled. What am I missing?
After a great deal of searching I ran across the suggestion to disable all plug-ins and then, one by one, enable them until finally the problem was solved. I am not sure which plug-in was causing the problem, as I am satisfied to have the problem solved. I am going to leave the rest of the plug-in disabled.

Unable to play some movies from Netflix on my iPad. When I click on a movie an error message comes up "Cannot play movie. Please try again later." I contacted Netflix but have not been able the help so I am wondering if it's my iPad. I didn't have a problem before but I have recently upgraded to iOS 7.1. I have an iPad 2 16GB with iOS 7.0.3 and Netflix version 5.0.2. I cannot watch netflix on an External LCD monitor that I have through VGA out. I use bluetooth speakers, so the AirPlay is going to that for Audio. Before this update, this combo worked without an issue.
So as of Friday Nov. 8/2013, I contacted Netflix support, and they said they fixed the problem on their end, and the fix is on the Apple side of things, and to contact Apple support.
So, I contacted Apple support, and the first person I spoke to said I would have to agree to pay a $35 fee for 30 days of support to this problem since my unit is out of warranty. I said this isn't a hardware issue, it's a software issue, and I'm not willing to pay to fix a problem you created. So I got a Senior Level advisor on the line, and she was helpful, and she's looking into the issue for me and said she'll contact me sometime on Tuesday or Wednesday (Nov. 12 or 13) to let me know of the issue.
Here's the thing: this is a combination of Netflix and iOS not working correctly with any of the Apple Authorized Dongles. This is truly a code error that some hot shot programmer had major oversight on, and their management didn't catch it either. There was no reason for Netflix to rush to get this Netflix update going until Apple sorted out the bugs in iOS 7.
Anyway, if I hear anything from Donna (the advisor), I'll post it and let you guys know. In the mean time, good luck! -
When I download Itunes from my playlist onto my Nano, a message pops up say that Nano can't be synced as there is not enough free space to hold all of my iTunes. I need an additional 141.4 MB. How do i obtain more MB?
You can't. You'll need to remove some content on your nano to free up space to sync the entire playlist. See this article for ways to manage content when it is larger in capacity than what your nano can hold.

Adobe elements 10 Photoshop will not import my scanned photos.. I keep getting an error message that says the photo already exist. But I know that these photos have not been scanned in the past. If you have upgraded from version 8 (or earlier) to iTunes 9 (or later) at some point, then your media folder (everything inside the red outline) may still be called iTunes Music instead of iTunes Media. The extra Music folder inside the media folder is used if you have allowed iTunes to Upgrade to iTunes Media Organization (iTunes 9) or used File > Library > Organize Library > Reorganize files in the folder "<Media Folder>" (iTunes 10). Depending on your choices for Keep iTunes Media folder organized and Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library plus a little bug in which one build changed the name of the file storing the choice of layout it is quite easy for some of your files to be organized according to one layout and some the other.
It is possible that in the upgrade to Lion iTunes has been installed with the current default options while your library is based on an older structure. Use Get Info. on a missing track, click cancel when asked to locate it and look at the path given on the summary tab. Now look for the actual file with Finder. Post both paths back here and we can try to make sense of the problem.

My volume down button doesn't work on my iPhone. The UP buttown works, but not the down button. I have tried a hard reset and that didn't fix it.
Try this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
