WHen i hook up my ipad2 to tv, movies i have purchased will not play because they are "protected"???

Every time i try to hook up my ipad to the tv via hdmi cord, it says the movies i have purchased are "protected". i tried playing one of the movies i downloaded outside of itunes and it will play for a minute or so, then seems as if it disconnects. I have checked the tv and cords and they are fine. This is one of the reasons i bought the ipad and if anyone could help me solve this it would be greatly appreciated!

From that message, it sounds like your TV is not HDCP compliant, or your HDMI connection is running through a HDMI switch or device that is confusing the connection. Confirm that your TV is indeed HDCP compliant, and if you're connecting the iPad via a switch or component, try connecting to the TV directly.

So I am unclear, did you purchase these songs or import them from a cd?
If you imported them and still have the CD try importing them again and see if they work the delete the others.
Or if you purchased from itunes re-dowwnload and see if they work. Maybe they are corrupted files and this should resove it.

Delete the current copy, don't hide from iTunes in the cloud if prompted, close iTunes, reopen, download from iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer.
While downloading click the download icon and uncheck Enable simultaneous downloads. You may find it more reliable that way.

I installed the latest update and all my purchased will not open. They blink when I touch and take me back to the home page of the iPhone4.

If all user-installed apps are not launching, it could be an Apple ID authorization issue. Download and install a free app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information.

I have ipgraded my iPad2 to ios5, and now my videos will not play?

Hi all
I just upgraded my Ipad 2 to the new iOS5, and all the videos that WERE on the ipad (that previously played fine) now no longer play. I can see the ICONS, and when I press the icon, it goes (like normal) to the description/detail page... then when I click play, it STARTS to play (for less than a second) but then "bounces" back to the description/detail page...
these are all videos NOT PURCHASED THROUGH ITUNES (ie: my own personal animations/work, or videos I have captured using HandBrake)
again, these are all videos that worked perfectly fine before the upgrade...
I have restored the ipad (and laboriously reloaded EVERYTHING, one at a time, again) but it does the same thing.
has anyone else encountered this?

Make sure iPad is not muted (tap the little bell) in the Control Center.

On my ipad some of my contacts on messaging have come back not delivered. They are red when entered in To: box. This only began after I downloaded the OS7 update, but not sure that has anything to do with it.

Some contacts on Messaging are red and undeliverable when i type them in the "To:" box. These are contacts I have messaged many times. The problem started after installing OS7. Help?

My iphone 4s is permanently stuck in dock mode when it is not connected to a dock, and it will not play music. How do I fix this? Every time I have this problem I have to get it replaced

My iPhone 4s has been replaced at least 4 times within a year and nobody at the genius bar seems to know what's wrong but every time I plugy phone into my cable that connects my iPhone to the stero in my car and when I disconnect it, my iPhone think its in dock mode and will not play music or sounds with our being plugged into a dock. However it will occasionally make sounds when a text comes in but that's about it. I really don't know why this happens or how to fix it, HELP!!

First, make sure you are logged into the App Store with the same AppleID that you used to purchase the apps.
If that is not it, look in the App Store under Purchases. Are they there?
If not, go into your account in App Store and click the link to show hidden purchases.
If they are still not there, use the support link in the App Store.
If they do show up, copy all the apps to an external drive, then remove them from your Mac. Go to the App Store, Purchases, and install from there.

Authorized music purchased will not play says unauthorized to play and when you follow instructions to fix the issue says authorized...

If only a few songs on an album are doing that, that suggests the tracks are damaged.
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

I have no clue that you mean by it only shows photos from the camera icon. It has to show the photos in the camera roll of the photos app since those are the only photos that you can import via the USB cable.
There are other ways of transferring photos to a computer, but they involve using third party apps. There are WiFi transfer apps that will do this. DropBox will also let you upload photos to a public folder and then download them to a computer.

When I hook up any of my ipods I get a music was not copied error

As stated in the title every time I hook up one of my families 4 ipods an error message pops up saying that "the music was not copied because you are not authorized to play them on this computer".
Every single song was ripped through itunes from a CD or was bought from the itunes store. What gives?
I recently upgraded to Vista, but this problem just started a few days ago and I upgraded vista about three weeks ago.

I would not expect this to happen for tracks ripped from CDs.
It is possible that your computer has lost authorisation. Have you tried playing one of the purchased tracks in iTunes? You should be invited to authorise your PC if it isn't authorised.

Also I can only see them if I go to either the app store or the game center and click on purchased. Did you purchase them directly on the iPad or on your computer's iTunes ? If on your iPad in the App Store app then have you checked to see if they are on a different homescreen by swiping the homescreen to the left ? If they are on a different screen, and there are spaces on the first homescreen then you can move them :
Touch and hold any icon for a couple of seconds until the icons jiggle .
Arrange the icons by dragging them (don't drag too quickly). You can't leave gaps between icons on a page
to move them to a different screen drag them (not too quickly) and then hold them so that they are overhanging the edge of the screen - after a couple of seconds or so the display should change to the next/previous screen (depending on which edge you are holding it) and you can then place the icon.
Press the Home button to save your arrangement.
If you downloaded them on your computer then you can either connect your iPad to your computer and sync them across, or go into the App Store app on the iPad and re-download them via the Purchased tab (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519)

If the songs are still on your ipod, make sure autosync is disabled in iTunes on your computer, connect and right click on it in the device list, then choose "transfer purchases" to copy all bought media and apps from your ipod to your computer.
If the songs are not on your computer and got deleted from your ipod as well, you can't get them back, unless you have a backup of your iTunes library as part of your computer backup.
