When i import certain albums they appear as two and the tracks are split why is this and how do i rectify it.
Certain albums that I import or have been imported appear as two and certain tracks are split over the two albums. The tracks that are split are either various artists or featuring different artists which differ from the album title, how do i over come this.
Generally all you need to do is fill in an appropriate Album Artist. For more details see my article on Grouping Tracks Into Albums, in particular the topic One album, too many covers.
For best results go to the Songs view, if necessary use View > Show Column Browser, then tick both of View > Column Browser > Group Compilations and View > Column Browser > Use Album Artists.
While setting Album Artist will normally fix things, if you have a non-iOS iPod device you may also need to change Artist as suggested or the album will break up again there.

If older photos are missing it may be because photo stream photos are only held in iCloud for 30 days. After that they are removed from iCloud but will remain (up to 1000 photos) on your device until deleted. Also, only photos taken after enabling photo stream are added to your photo stream, and only when the camera is closed, your device is connected to wifi and you have at least 20% battery life remaining.
To transfer the missing photos you can either create a shared photo stream containing them and invite yourself to it (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99), import the photos to your computer and sync them to your iPad, or use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your iPad over wifi. -
I live in Australia and I am trying to buy an album by SNSD, a Kpop group. It is not available on the Australian iTunes. All of their other albums are.
Why is this and is there a way I can buy it off the American store? (The album is called The Boys)Well how much does the album cost? Because I have an issue with this except I live in America and I wish to purchase something from the Australian store... perhaps I can gift you your album and you could gift me my album.

For some reason all the images in Aperture 3 library have had their highlights go red and the shadow area goes blue. I can correct them one at a time with contrast control. This just happen on its on after I uploaded MOuntain Lion. Now when I go to transfer images from iPhoto this happens. The images are all right in iPhoto but this is not the case with Apeerture. I have 15,000 images in Aperture 3 and I can't afford the time to correct them one at a time. What is it that I did to cause this problem?
You have "Highlight Hot and Cold Areas" turned on.
Toggle this on/off from the View menu.
Thresholds are set at "Aperture➞Preferences➞Advanced". (I have mine set to 100% ~ it's not clear what the scale is.)

When i tried updating my iphone 4 to the latest IOS version 7.1.1 it was updating until the end of the update where it had an icon which said connect to itunes. When i try connecting to itunes on my laptop it still doesnt program, by the way my itunes has the latest updae. Why is this? How can i fix it?

It sounds like you had been updating the phone and now it is in recovery mode. Take a look at this info first:
If you started your device in recovery mode by mistake, restart it to exit recovery mode. Or you can just wait—after 15 minutes the device will exit recovery mode by itself.

When my Ipad has been disconnected from wifi and shut off, it keeps coming back on and online. It can happen in 10 minutes, or hours later, happens irregulary. Have noticed when it happens, I get nofications from facebook of comments and or posts.. I can switch the wifi off, switch the iPad off and then set it beside me, hour later it dings, i have noficiations of face book things, and its online again.. why is this and how can I stop it from happening?
Yes, I went to settings and turned wifi off. Thought at first I wasnt letting it set for a sec or two before shutting the iPad off. so now I wait like a minute or two before shutting the iPad down. didnt seem to help. Tried actually logging out of facebook when I was done with it, worked for about 4 days, and now it has started coming on and coming online again,, I went through my notifications and shut things off, Well see if it works. thank you.

Since i upgraded to Yosemite, when importing photos to iPhoto, they no longer appear in the 'events' summary in library. Why is this and how can i amend?
The events may be incorrectly sorted. Try to sort the events by date, while in "Events" view.
Go to the "View" menu: Sort Photos > By Date > Descending. That should bring the most recent events to the top of the list. -
I have imported a document from my old Windows PC but on the Mac the text is misaligned and the pictures are gobbledygook. It looks fine on the thumbnail
on the desktop. How do I see my documents in Mac as they appeared in Windows?To view it in an acceptable format, yes. You can try using an opensource program such as OpenOffice or LibreOffice and see if it yields better results. However, I'm sure if it would be compatible with a document made with word processing software from 9 years ago, but I would certainly give it a try.

Lately when I sync certain albums to my iPhone, the tracks are duplicated one behind the other so that I have to listen to each song twice. Why does this happen and how can it be fixed?
Very strange behavior. Don't entirely give up on the "Manually Added Items" category ... I have seen things magically appear there even after I've checked and seen nothing there. I think things got real quirky when Apple released iCloud ... I don't remember extra copies of purchases lingering on my iPhone once transferred to my library before that. Sure, if I bought an album directly to my iPhone it would stay on there even after I sync to my library, but if I deleted the album from the iPhone it stayed deleted. Now it seems that there are some phantom copies that come and go with no explanation.

If you're re-downloading an album to iTunes and your iPhone, that may perpetuate the problem. What happens if you completely delete every copy of the album, then just download to your iTunes library and then sync the album to your iPhone from your library? That should put only one copy on your iPhone.
A few other things to try:
1- Completely sign out of your Apple account on your iPhone, then re-sync to iTunes, then sign into your account on your iPhone again. Maybe throw in a Reset or at least a power OFF/ON somewhere in the middle.
2- Go to Settings/ General/ Usage, then select Music and when you see All Music, swipe your finger across it and tap the Delete button. Before doing anything else, Reset your iPhone. This does not actually delete your music, but seems to clear up some cobwebs left behind (people use this technique to reduce "Other" that swells up over time). -
when I open an album, thumbnail appear as dotted outlines instead of the image itself. Are my settings set improperly? How do I fix this?
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to rebuild the thumbnails. It can take 3 or 4 goes for this to work

The ipad music app does not allow me to play certain tracks that i have synced via my itunes. The tracks are clearly visibly in the music app but when tap on them to play they wont play. what do i do?
Agree about the disaster part. I haven't found a fix within iTunes.
I gave up and switched to downcast 2 days ago. Even though it was a hassle to re-subscribe to all my podcasts, im so much happier.
To make switching easier, I found that in iTunes you can "get info" on the podcast and copy the RSS address to the clipboard. Put all of these in a message note. When iCloud syncs the note to your phone, you can copy and paste the urls into downcast one at a time to subscribe.
Downcast has crashed on me occassionally when I'm subscribing to feeds, but so far it has recovered gracefully each time and no data was lost. -

I downloaded an album from i Tunes to my i Phone 4 but somehow all but two of the tracks have deleted themselves from there. When I try to synch again (from a Windows PC) I can't upload the missing tracks again. They are playable from the PC but not the i Phone. Any ideas?
You may have to sync all your music off your phone (by unchecking Sync Music on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing), then sync it back on to fix this.

Depending on how the JPG was created (which software and/or which camera) there is sometimes "extra" information inside the file header that confuses Premiere since it is not part of the basic file specification
Solution was to open in Photoshop (or, rarely, a non-Adobe program) and save to a new name or, as Dan says, to a different format
