When I insert the software disc for my new Palm, nothing pops up!

The CD icon doesn't show on the desktop and it doesn't show in the finder when I do 'apple' N. I've tried using the slot loading CD drive and the external CD drive I have. Nothing works. How can I get the computer to recognize the CD so I can use my new Palm software?? Please help!! Thanks!

I already tried going to palm.com and dowloading the software. The software I need isn't available for download. All other CDs I've used have worked fine for me. In January I completed wiped the hard drive and re-installed my OS. That worked just fine. Last month I installed some software for my digital camera and that worked fine. It is plausible that the CD is just bad. But that just doesn't get me any where. So frustrating! Thanks for your input, though.

The software disc should appear on the Desktop (or in the sidebar of a Finder window).
Double-click the disc icon (or select it in the sidebar).
On the disc, there should is often an Installer, or the application itself.

I've got a MacBook Pro '11, OS X 10.6.8 and am trying to back up my photo library to a new AirPort Time Capsule 2TB.
When trying to set it up in AirPort Utility, I am getting the warning "This version of AirPort Utility doesn't support this AirPort wireless device and might improperly configure the device if you continue to use it. Check www.apple.com/support/airport for the latest version of AirPort Utility."
1. Where do I go to get the latest version of AirPort Utility?
2. Will the latest version work with OS X 10.6.8?

Yes. The latest version will be installed when you upgrade to Yosemite.

When clicking yes another message indicates not able to remove services. Another message is: "Service (ipod service) could not be installed. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to install system sources." I've uninstalled all Apple services (itunes, quicktime, apple software update, apple mobiles devices support, bonjour and apple application support and reinstalled itunes/quicktime - no change in error messages. I cannot burn CDs using Itunes. This all seemed to happen when I updated itunes to version 10. I have a Windows 7 64-bit operating system on a Dell Inspiron Zino HD; the Itunes software is also 64 bit.

Clicking "open with Auto play" gives me irrelevant options, view photos, share, etc. I'm running Windows 8. This program has worked, although buggy, for the past year.

Thanks David. I had to convert the mts file to Quick Time (using AunSoft Conversion software) before I could import it into Final Cut Express. And I made sure I kept the size of movie (720 X 480 with letterbox) to compliment what I set my Panaconic AVCCAM video recorder at (720/60). Even after I fully render it, it still looks fuzzy in the Canvas window at the right that plays what I have editing down in the Timeline. A friend that edits some using Final Cut Pro helped me to narrow things down to this problem. This is also wierd. If my Viewer window at the left is set to 200% to get the person's head the same size in the Canvas window at the right we needed to put it to 400%. Does this make any sense. We think we need to control the Time line resolution somehow but cannot find any options from my manual, or the help, or in the various drop down menus. Do you have any clue? What is going on?

Ah.. then I suspect you just need to go to Logic's prefs/Audio and check CoreAudio...
It has been unchecked somehow...

Well, you managed to find this support forum didn't you and you have an internet connection don't you? Then if you have all these things, go and find the number by going to the Verizon website and it should not be hard to find the number.
As for speaking English, this is not really our problem and it is surely something that you should have thought about before buying the phone in the first place.
You also need to know that Verizon in the US is a cdma operator and if you purchased an iPhone 4s, then it should not be locked. The Verizon 4s comes with a sim card tray that should be unlocked out of the box for use internatinoally on gsm networks, so all you should need to do is open the sim card tray and insert a sim card and you should pick up the local gsm network.
A cdma phone does not actually use a sim card, so there would be no original sim card with the phone because when it is used in the US it will pick up the Verizon cdma network without a sim card. The sim card is only for use on a gsm network which will not work in the US, but is designed to work outside the US. Open the sim card tray and insert your own local sim card and the phone should work and should not be locked.
Other than this, if you purchased the phone in the first place, it is the responsibility of the previous owner to cancel the Verizon contract. This is nothing to do with you, so contact the seller and ask them.
Other wise, go to the Verizon website and look up the number and call them. As they are the phone company, ultimately, they are the only ones who can help you.

If you are trying to play these on quicktime then what video format are those videos?
Wmp's? You need to install Flip4Mac.
Most other formats? Install Perian.
Or just use vlc instead. It's a much better, more powerful, and more general video player.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.0.1. For the iPad Mini the iOS is 6.0.2. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.
