When i installed windows 8 my photoshop cs6 started to blink and flash. Is there an update i need to do ? please help
When installing the audio driver, was it installed by following the prompts or in compatibility mode as outlined here?
Based on the Software and Drivers page for this unit, the unit was not tested and certified for Windows 8. This means that some functionality may not be the same since the unit was not designed for Windows 8. See this site for information and to find out if it has been tested for Windows 8.
If the sound driver has not been installed in compatibility mode, then I recommend using the Windows 7 64bit driver found here and using the linked steps above to install it in compatibility mode.

My Refine Edge in Photoshop CS6 has STOPPED WORKING, please help!

I have been using refine edge with no problem for months.
everything worked great!
I was able to extract out hair and edges very, very, very well...
but about 2 weeks ago...something changed... the refine edge brush no longer works.
When I click on Refine Edge... instead of a brush icon, I get the CIRCLE with a SLASH and my system keeps dinging because the tool is just not available.
I deleted my preferences...but it is still a problem
NOW... when I adjust the sliders, i don't see a preview of the adjustments...
Please help!!!!no difference.
i have tried to check and uncheck everything...
if i adjust the sliders, i get NO Preview... but when i click OK, the resulting photo has been completely ruined by the tool...

the weird thing is that this problem was very sudden. Just a few weeks ago, I was using refine edge with NO PROBLEM. it is my GO TO tool for extracting people out of pictures...

I Am Having Trouble Installing Windows On Mac Pro.... Please Help!
I have gotten as far as installing boot camp and then running windows CD when I start the computer, but all my progress is stopped when I come to a screen durring the setup of XP that says.....
" The following list shows the existing partitions and unpartitioned space on this computer.
Use the up and down arrow keys to select an iteam from the list.
. To set up windows xp on the selected iteam press enter
. To create a partition in the unpartitioned space press, C
. To delete the selected partition, press d

So when i choose to press "C" to create a partition the computer dose absolutly nothing.
I thought i might be able to press delete existing partition to get the setup to continue but I am affraid I will loose everything that is on my hardrive right now.
I am completely confused and this problem is keeping me from installing all of my windows applications I use for my recording studio.
If anyone can please help it would be very much appriciated.

No 3D options on Windows 8 in Photoshop CS6 Extended!
Hello everyone! Recently, I have installed Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended trial from Adobe.com (Yeah, I am sure it was the EXTENDED version). In the setup it says that it is installing ”Photoshop CS6 Extended” and I could saw that yellow leaves -or what that is- girl in the image. But everytime I open the program, it says only ”Adobe Photoshop CS6”, I have no 3D options displayed and if I go to About Photoshop, it says that it is only ”Adobe Photoshop CS6 (not EXTENDED-as I could see on some youtube videos)”! So, what is the problem? I have a 32-bit system and Windows 8 Release Preview installed. I read that XP does not support 3D, but about Windows 8... Or, it does not support 32-bit systems, it only support 64-bit systems??? What should I do? Thank you in advance!

You may even want to check how the other GPU features work on this video card. It is at the minimum requirement for Ps CS6, and given the age of this card it may not be supported.
The minimum required GPU must have 512 MB VRAM for Ps CS6 Extended. We have some cases for GPU with 256-512MB where the 3D menu items aren't disabled, but problems may still occur. The suggested VRAM is 1GB or higher for 3D the feature set.

Crash - Windows 8.1 Photoshop CS6 Extended
After an english Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended install, it just refuses to work: crashes after seconds of startup. After so many crashes I think Photoshop moved the plugins, because they are not in the main folder anymore.
Event Viewer doesn't report anything strange.

I've been using Photoshop CS6 and suddenly when I try to open images with this it takes me onto a page saying Photoshop CS6 Extedned and is asking me to license this software. Ive already got Photoshop so why is this happening? I now cant access it?
You should see a prompt to "License this Software". You might see it on the Trial Screen.
Click on that, sign in if asked, then click on the "I have a serial number" option or you maybe able to do that directly.
Once your serial number is entered, your software is licensed and activated. -

i install windows 7 on my mac pro. and participate in windows 7 to 50gb 2 disk. but now i cannot enter my mac. only windows is appearing what should i do. when try enter my mac want me to format rest of the disk. how can i reinstall my mac?
If you use Windows program to partition the Hard Drive, the Apple partition gets destroyed.
Windows does not understand it is a guest on your Mac, and throws garabge wherever it pleases. -
When I install Windows 8 on my MacBook Pro(13-inch,Early2011),the Super DVD Drive doesn't appear in Windows 8 and installing Boot Camp 5 drivers doesn't solve my problem,what can I do?
Go into your system preferences and click the startup disk icon then select your Mac HD.

When it happened to me, it turned out that my permissions to the Application Support folder was unintentionally changed during an update, causing the problem.
A Terminal command fixed it. Copy and paste into Terminal. You need to be allowed to administer this computer from your account.
If you are asked to enter a password, enter it blindly, because usually there are no dots and cursor movement when you do.
sudo chmod -R 777 /Library/Application\ Support/Adobe -
I have usb driver in may macbook pro 15 retina. When I installed windows 7 and try to download windows support into a CD, boot camp always said it couldn't find my usb driver. My mac version is 10.8.3

Install the Windows support software from the USB drive. Note that Boot Camp Assistant, in OS X 10.8.3, doesn't support the option to burn the Windows support software into a disc.
Instead, you can try a different thing. Start in Windows and download the Windows support software in it > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1638 Then, decompress the file and run the Boot Camp drivers installer.
If you can't access to the Internet in Windows, start in OS X and download the Windows support software from the same link. Decompress the file, right-click the folder which will show up after decompressing the file and select "Burn". Finally, start in Windows and install the Boot Camp drivers
