When I key on a link in an email sent to me, I just go to my homepage instead of the keyed site. Why?
When I click on email links, I am taken to my home page instead of to the linked website.
If I minimize my home page screen (yellow button), the email linked website is visible. It now takes these two steps to get where I want to go, and it has never happened before. It started today right after I updated to the latest version of Firefox.

I have not found a way for the email hypertext to go to the FaceBook App, but I no longer click on the hypertext as I know whatever information or posting it is directing me to in FaceBook will show up when I open my FaceBook App. I also have noticed that many pop-ups on the Browser don't actually know if you already have the software they are promoting.

This has happened several times now - first in FF 7.0, now 8.0. It's as if Firefox is concentrating on the existing tab, drops the info it's loading and just loads the homepage.
This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I updated Firefox yesterday to 3.6.9. When I receive a URL link in an email within Outlook, I cannot open the link in Firefox. As I said in the question, when I click on the link, a Microsoft Office Outlook error message appears which states that a General failure has occurred in sending the command to the application (which is Firefox). I am using Office 2007 This did not occur prior to the upgrade of Firefox.

When I click on a link in an email using gmail in the Mozilla brower, I get the following message at the top of the screen:
"Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page...[Allow].

I just upgraded to Firefox 3.6.13 this morning and now, when I click on a link in an email or webpage, it won't open Firefox. How can I get this option restored in Firefox so I don't have to copy and paste the link?

No, you didn't change a setting. Try this and see if it fixes the problem.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
When I click on a link from my emails it opens automatically through firefox. I want to disable this feature as I would like to go back to Chrome. I don't want to uninstall Firefox all together but I don't want it to be my main browser either.

In the support notification I received questioning the file version running on my computer, the link I had a problem with http://www.harleyhowto.com/forum/register.php\ was also included. When I clicked on the link I went directly to the site with no problem. Then I opened the original email containing the same link, clicked and went to 404 NOT FOUND ! I'm going back to the web site and go through the registration process again and keep my fingers crossed hopping it works when they send a new verification email . ince updating my firefox browser whenever i click on an internet link in an email it does not open on firefox athough my mac switches to the firefox window as i have this set to be my default browser- what should i do?
I have the same problem, and I also wondered if Google toolbar has anything to do with it. There GMAIL was set as the default mail application at first. I have removed that setting, but Firefox 4.0.1 continues to use GMAIL instead of Outlook which is my selection for mailto handling.

When I try to run my keynote presentation through a projector, it fails to fun as desired and instead show the "Rehearse Slideshow" view instead. How do I sort this out?
I believe you need to go into System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement so the image you want appears on the projector.

I can create documents in Mavericks Pages and Keynote. When I attach them to an email and send to others also using Mavericks, they can't open the attachments. Why might this be?
The new Pages v5 (Mavericks) uses a new file format with the same extension name (.pages). Older versions of Pages cannot open these documents unless you first export them as Word (.docx) and send these as Mail attachments. The same is true if you originate an IOS Pages v2.01 .pages document.
You may be sending to people who chose not to install Pages v5 on Mavericks and continue to use Pages ’09 v4.3 instead — especially for the superset of features that are presently not in Pages v5.
