When I launch Firefox/Mozilla it comes u; with a Yahoo Search window. My older Firefox versions opened with MyEarthlink as my start page. Even designating Mozilla as my default browser still brings up Yahoo. What gives?
Downloaded 3.6 and when I clicked on Mozilla icon, it loaded with Yahoo Search page and not as my previous Mozilla browser. To get to Earthlink, I have to type the URL in the Yahoo search window; same with any other URL. Before, I had a URL window above the browser page. Both the 3.6 and now 4 beta are painfully different.
Running Win2000 SP4.
1. Have you tried resetting your Homepage? <br />

2. Did you hide the Navigation bar where the Location / URL bar resides? <br />
View > Toolbars = check-mark for the Navigation bar?

Im having this same problem an my phone is about 3 weeks old. I am not sure about the voice over part though...I have not yet figured out how to work the voice recognition part of the phone...I am such a newbie with this phone. I did the power off/on suggestion, several times. I tried leaving it off for 10 minutes. Tried to reset with the power on/off and home button pressed at the same time. Charged battery. Still makes no difference. You cannot scroll any direction. Have to double click to open apps. Have to double click letters when texting or emailing in order to get the letter in the text box. Can scroll through app choices, have to click on the line with the dots in it and move from page to page. Can't access the settings - > general - > accessibility - because it won't allow me to scroll down to "general".
Anyone help you with your fix yet? -
When I download a pdf file with Foxfire and then click on a link therein, it calls upon Safari, not Foxfire, to get that link. This causes some complications. I have designated Foxfire as my default browser, so this should not happen. Is this a fault of Adobe or something else?

My email links fail to open Firefox 11. They used to last week but IE updated and now links in my outlook emails do not open Firefox 11 even though it's my default browser. When I change to IE as the default the links open IE.

Firefox 3.6.26 on Mac OSX, Youtube search window has vanished. I cannot search youtube for video. If I use Safari to open Youtube the page appears as it used to with Firefox--that is with the search window.Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

When I try to share a Numbers spreadsheet with other Mac users, (via iMessages) it doesn't open on Numbers app but instead on Numbers for iCloud beta, on their browser. and worse all the letters appear out of format and unreadable.
Is there any option that i'm getting wrong

Don't know why those letters wouldn't display properly; maybe something to do with their settings at Safari > Preferences > Advanced > Default Encoding or similar setting in whatever browser they are using. But it's really easy for them to download the document via the "wrench" in the Numbers for iCloud menu. Then they can open it in the Numbers app.
For "real-time" collaboration, I think you all need to be accessing Numbers for iCloud via the browser.

I downloaded latest beta version of firefox. It does not open sites when i type just the site name like "yahoo search" or "youtube" etc...
I have to type the complete address like"youtube.com" or "facebook.com"
While earlier version of firefox did it. Please help...Firefox 12 does not open yahoo which is my home page and e-mail. All I get is a grey screen with small icons on the left which do not open. I also have same problem with Safari.

Before update, when i clicked on download link pop-up window would come up asking me if i wnat to open file with program or just save it, but after update i dont get that pop-up window, insted i get window asking me where to save it, how can i fix this problem, because i want sertain files to be opened with a program like it was before update? I have tried every solution i could find, and nothing helped. I use Firefox 16.0.2 on win7 ultimate x64bit
Thank you, it helped alot. I found that my problem was that all programs in applications panel was set to "save file" option and when i changed them to "always ask" it was back to normal, like i used to :D many thanks

Just installed Firefox on my second Windows machine (running XP Home). Unlike my other installation, every time I start Firefox I get TWO tabs - my home page AND a "Mozilla Firefox Start Page" that contains only a Google search input. I don't need the useless start page, but haven't found anything that tells me how to stop it from loading.
Try This works good for those who aren't computer tech savvy like me
Type about:config in the address bar
Click I'll be careful, I promise if prompted
In the Filter input field type startup
Double click on startup.homepage_override_url
Delete the text string and click OK
Close Firefox and reopen the window to verify that it has worked.

The http://www.google.com/firefox used to be the old Firefox start page for 3.6.* and earlier and has not been maintained by Google ever since Firefox 4.0 came out as to why this start page may have the "You're not on the latest version of Firefox" message at times.
The default homepage ever since Firefox 4.0 has been '''about:home''' -

False: my Firefox is already up-to-date.You are indeed up to date. Firefox stopped using that address as its default start page when 4.0 came out - the page you're using may be (wrongly) assuming that if you're looking at it, you must still be on Firefox 3.6.

When I click on some links, it does not open them. It use to work just fine. I have tried everything to help this situation. Many people are complaining about firefox 4. Maybe this is a bug.

I have checked all the above trouble shooting suggestions. I still am having the same problem.
I use Firefox as my default browser and have it checked off as per your last email. I am only having this problem in my emails. I cannot open url links in my emails anymore by double clicking on the mouse. I have to right click the mouse and choose open in a new window. It will then open that url link and take me to the website link.
If I try this by double clicking the url link, it takes me to a blank page with this "https://mail.go....er=ohh14rw8mbn4"
at the top of the page in the tab.
