When I load gmail in firefox it the entire screen comes up in 2 point font. everything else in firefox is fine. any thoughts??

When I initially installed firefox gmail was fine. Somewhere along the way the font size on the entire view changed to something really small. I have no idea what caused this. everything else under firefox is perfectly fine. this only is consistent with gmail. any thoughts?

When I load Safari on my IPAD2, the web page comes up, but I can't scroll down the page. No matter what web page I go to the content stays darker than the navigation bar. This just started today. All other applications work fine.

If it's happening on all sites, then assuming that it's Safari that you're using, have you tried clearing it's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (other browsers should have similar options, possibly within the actual app instead of within Settings). You could also try closing the app completely : from the home screen double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app (or whichever browser you're using) to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If it's only happening on a particular site then there may be content on that site that isn't supported on the iPad e.g. flash, java, silverlight

Why can i watch videos from safari online while in 3g area but when at home connected to wi-fi the video screen comes up with a play button with a line through it and doesnt let you watch video

i can not watch videos while at home and connected to wi-fi. when i touch the video i want to watch a screen comes up with a play symbol with a line through it. i can disconnect from the wi-fi and go to 3g and the video will play. this is happening when i go to safari and try to watch a online video.

Try a Reset...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

If you have music that was purchased on different iTunes accounts than the one you use, then you must provide the password, otherwise the tunes are not considered yours. You can turn off iCloud and just use the usual USB sync method. But I wonder whether you'll have the same problem?

When I go to a link all is fine except the link takes up the entire screen and there is no way to move out other than control alternate delete and brining up task manager to exit out of firefox, help

again, I am able to use search of firefox to get to a link but then all the tool bars from my operating system are no longer available as the link takes up the entire screen (there are no firefox toolbards either so I can't shrink the page etc).. 1. I don't have that fat format I checked as I saw this on another answer...BUT...you are right the project was very bloated and I made a new project with the sequence and moved a bunch of projects off to an outside drive and things are flying again...this effect "twirl" was on three clips and this seemed to be creating a problem along with it being a bloated project. Don't know why this effect renders easily then the next second doesn't it's on three clips on the entire project and one or another might not render all of a sudden.
2. I understand what you said about the timeline export...I decided to export the sequence without the matte it was nested in and that sequence did have the chapter markers on the timeline and they again didn't export??? I'll look tomorrow at this it makes no sense if what you're saying is how to do it...the final cut pro book said they should have showed up if I export from the browser and that didn't work either.
3. I then matted that output and rendered it to output but I am worried this will degrade and compress the sequence more than I want by outputting the same sequence with current settings twice???...the couple of outputs I could make nested looked very good as this was one render...however, I tried doing a quicktime "current settings" with the dvd studio pro info still trying to export chapter markers and maybe it's my imagination but the output didn't look as sharp as just an output with just chapter markers???
r. I did look at the final cut pro book and it says that mpeg 2 movies will not read chapter markers anyway if you create one in compressor...if this is true it makes no difference if the quicktime output isn't having chapter markers show up. I assume when I go to author though I can put an mpeg 2 movie into dvd studio pro and create chapter markers at that point!! It seems weird it says it can do it with an mpeg 1 but not an mpeg 2 when everyone is using that for dvds.

I solved the problem with the assistance of apple support knowledgebase. Refer to TS3441.

My Cannon HF 100 native format is 50i but when iMovie loads it up it says the it is at 30 fps - for PAL 25fps 50 i would be ideal one would hav ethought - any experts out there. movies in NSTC seem to be without the interference patterns (jiggling leaves)

my canon HF50 is set to a native 50i frame rate. When I load it into iMovie from the chip iMovie says it is at 30 fps. Interestingly editing it int NSTC (american TV format) I do not seem to get the horrible interference patterns (twitching leaves, vibrating paralell lines that I have with doing the same clips as PAL, )the british format).

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

You did the wrong things. In the future it's a good idea to remember not to do something when you don't know what you are doing and what happens when you do it.

Try this.
Erase and Reinstall OS X
Note: This will delete all data on the disk. Back up important files before continuing.
Erasing and then reinstalling OS X can give you a fresh start, making your computer exactly as it was whenever you received it from Apple. This can solve various problems such as corrupt system files.
Shut down the computer by going to Apple () > Shut Down…
Select Shut Down or allow the computer to shut down automatically.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter into a power source and then connect it to your Mac if you have not already done so.
Press the Power Button to turn on the computer.
Press and hold both the R and Command (⌘) keys on the keyboard until the Recovery partition loads.
Select Disk Utility and then choose Continue.
Select your startup disk (Macintosh HD by default) from the left.
Select the Erase tab.
Choose the Format pop-up menu and choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled), enter a name for your disk, and then click Erase.
After the disk is erased, choose Disk Utility > Quit Disk Utility.
Select Reinstall OS X and then choose Continue.
Follow the instructions.

Qwerter, welcome to the forum.
I suggest that you download and install any patches for Shogun 2. This is the first thing that I do when I install a new game. The developers are under a lot of pressure to get the games released. So, there are going to be problems that need to be patched.

I'm not sure if the area has been surveyed; it's a large group of apartment buildings about a within a couple miles of Dulles International Airport in Northern Virginia, so I would imagine that it probably has, but I'm not sure. How would I find out?
I understand that the Network Extender does not support LTE connections (I know there are two models, the 1x-only and 3g, both made by Samsung - I have the 3g model, SCS-2U01). I know that it can support a 3G data connection, but that should be irrelevant - I'm always connected to my wifi network in my apartment.
What's particularly vexing, however, is that both a Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Nexus in my apartment (the other lines on my account) do not seem to have this issue. While I haven't done so with the S4, the Nexus exhibits this problem when my SIM is in it - and again, this is a fresh SIM from just a few weeks ago.
I'm currently trying to disable Mobile Data when in the apartment to see if that will make it more stable. I'll post in a day or two with results from that.

No, your Yahoo account is not in iCloud (which only handles iCloud mail), it is in Yahoo, and the Yahoo mail account is on your iPad.

I have an iPad 2 and it does not happen at all. The Apple store checked it out. One rep said to me this is unusual and had a tech check it out and they said this is normal. If the iPad is suppose to be user friendly, why this extra step to get to the lock screen? Are other owners of the iPad Air having the same problem? If so, what have you done to correct it?

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.
