When I log into Smartzone a window that says that the page cannot be redirected appears

The problem continues.
If I open a New Window, the usual comcast.net screen appears and shows that I AM signed into SmartZone. That's fine but I do not want to have to go through this every time I open Mozilla Firefox. I didn't have this problem before I downloaded the Firefox version 4 Beta. Now going back to the older version of Mozilla Firefox, it happens there too!

From your post it appears that you are getting a pop-up message that you need to upgrade your internet browser. Likely this is an advertisement, as any updates to Safari are done through the software update in the App Store. I'd like you to please check your preferences to ensure pop-ups are being blocked, and to also clear out the Safari data on your Mac.

Place the iPhone into Recovery mode. If successful, this will require restoring the iPhone with iTunes which is required anyway in this situation.

Without location services, there's no way the device can be tracked. It's location services that provide the device's location to any apps that need that info, including the Find My iPhone service. Sorry.

You might want to check with Comcast SmartZone support about that issue, I suspect they did an update earlier this week. As of yesterday a Firefox 2.0.0.20 user who posted here couldn't even get the the comcast.net homepage to load, and I can't either with Namoroka/3.6.18pre - ''(the "tester version" of Firefox 3.6.x updates)'' - we're getting re-directed to the "unsupported browser" web page at Comcast. The strangest thing is that Comcast doesn't re-direct Aurora 5.0 as being "unsuported", they know that is Firefox-next.
And today when I logged in with Firefox 4.0.1 all the emails that I read yesterday with that same browser were '''bold''' as being un-read. Comcast changed "something" on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

The try the standar fixes:
- Reset. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod from backup via iTues
- Restore the iPod factoery defaults/new iPod.
