If you have a non-retina MBP then the noise is part of tye OSX startup routine. It is checking the optical drive, and is nothing to be alarmed about.

When I log into Creative Cloud, I get message saying I've been Logged out

This is after I Deactivated and uninstalled CS6. Here are the series of events:
1. I deactivated CS6
2. I installed CC
3. After running a while and seeing both CS6 and CC versions on Creative Cloud, I uninstalled CS6
4. Now, when I try to sign into CC, I get a message saying "You've been logged out", "Please sign in to continue"
5 When I depress the "Sign In" button and sign in, I get the same message, "you've been logged out", "Please sign in to continue" and the "Sign In" button reappears.
The bottom line is I am able to use the programs, but the Creative Cloud application will not let me log in.

I tweeted AdobeCare and got it fixed. Here's how, from their webpage:
Close the Creative Cloud application.
Navigate to the OOBE folder.
Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE
Delete the opm.db file.
Launch Creative Cloud.
They left out one thing: in order to actually get the file to delete, I had to open Task Manager in Windows and right-click on the AAM process and select "End Task". Then the file deleted and the sign in worked. It acted like I was new, but it recognized all of my installed apps. Hope that helps!

I keep getting an error message when I log onto Firefox and I can't figure out how to fix it, can you help?

Every time I log onto Firefox I get the following message:
"Could not initialize the application's security component. The most likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile directory. I would like to fix whatever is causing this error message to appear, but I haven't found my, "application's profile directory" so that I can check for "read/write restrictions". My hard drive is 640GB with 554GB free space remaining.

The Reset feature adds a folder on your desktop named Old Firefox Data. I recommend hanging onto that for a few weeks in case you discover something essential that the Reset feature left behind.

With Firefox 4, I get a message "additional plug ins required" when trying to use TD Ameritrade's Command Center. Even they don't know what additional plug in will make it work. It worked fine on Firefox 3.6

I'm prompted to log into Creative Cloud when I restart my computer (I don't have, use, or pay for Creative Cloud), and then when I launch Lightroom, it tells me to use the application I have to log into my Adobe account...AGAIN! And then to further add insult to injury, I'm prompted to enter in the license number of my product. I've gone through this process a dozen times now...SCREAM!!!

Finally if you are in a managed environment then please work with your I.T. department to apply the update.

When trying use any Creative Cloud product on opening an application it attempts to verify my subscription "Membership Expired". I click the button "Try Again" and it says "Thank you, your Creative Cloud is now active. Click Continue to use your product."

Does your Cloud subscription properly show on your account page?
If you have more than one email, are you sure you are using the correct Adobe ID?

I would try signing out of the Creative Cloud app and back in...
Preferences > Account > Sign Out
...and see if that makes a difference. If not, you'd probably be better off calling Adobe, there might be a problem with your credentials: 1-800-833-6687
Actually, is there any chance that you logged into the CC app with the wrong Adobe ID?

I've spent over 3 hours on the phone/chatting to online support and none of it seemed to help as it all revolved around resetting emails etc but can't do any of it without my access to my old email. Thank you for the question. This behavior is normal if updated on another Apple ID account holders computer. To change the Apple ID on your device, follow the steps in the article below.
