I'd still prefer to keep separate user accounts. I never had any issues like this before. The only time I started having a problem was when I was just trying to force empty the trash a few months ago. I came on here looking for a solution and someone posted a way to empty the trash using the terminal. Before then, I hadn't used the terminal for anything--it was just another app in my utilities folder. (None of this has anything to do with having separate user accounts. Plenty of people with kids make second and third user accounts on their laptops so that multiple people can use one laptop, having more than one user on a laptop is not very difficult.) But thank you, I'll try that out and see if it works!

Repair permissions and restart your computer. If this does not work, zap the pram. You should now see your external hard drive.

Web pages in Safari won't load after wake from sleep

After closing the screen or using the sleep command and then waking my MacBookPro 13" OsX Lion 2.4 Intel Core i5, Safari will not load pages unless I restart it.

Have you been able to access the internet previously and now it's suddenly not working, or are you still trying to access the internet for the first time on your iPad? Are you at home trying to connect through your home router? If you are at home, did you put your home routers encryption code as your password? The encryption code is what your iPad is looking for and it is usually found on the router and is typically a 13 digit combination of letters and numbers. Let us know......

I have the exact same problem, I think. I was on my iPad 3's home page swiping R-L to locate a certain icon when all of a sudden the screen appeared to get HUGE. So big I could only see one or two icons. I couldn't even turn it off to try a reboot because after I pushed the sleep/wake button, I couldn't find the red slide bar. Sounds like you are using a Layout template. These you have to manually link from textbox to textbox.
Try using a Word Processing template, it lists them in the sidebar of the Template Chooser.

the % sign is often used when there's a space in a name. HTML doesn't like spaces so it fills them with % or %20
try, on the end of that link, see if there's a space built into the page or the link when the page was made
On the web address you may be able to 'backspace' at the end and erase that space to get the address, but whomever made the page possibly put a mistake in the link

Since HTML documents are printing correctly, it is possible that the large black ink tank in the unit may be clogged. You can print a nozzle check pattern from the printer to see if the inkjet nozzles are dispensing the ink correctly. To do this, please follow the steps located here. Once it is printed, please examine it and compare it to a correctly print pattern here. If all of the colors are not appearing, including the black grid at the top above the colors, performing print head cleanings on the unit may resolve the issue. To perform the cleanings, please follow the steps located here. We recommend performing at least one cleaning and two deep cleanings.

Can web content overlay refresh when a user re-enters the page?

I have a page that has a web content overlay that id like to refresh when a user re-enters the page.
To be exact i have a photswipe gallery that works great butid like it to restart from the beginning when a user renters the page

There is no simple way to disable swiping to a new page. You could put an empty scrolling frame in, I suppose, but I don’t see how that would make the reader’s experience very good.

Go into ''Tools > Options > General > Startup:When Firefox starts:'' and configure it as you want (probably to show your home page?). This is the very first option that appears in the options screen, but I understand that it may not be very easy to find. Firefox 4 will not include any redesign to the options screen (except possibly it appearing in a tab, rather than in a popup), but you may interested to know that there are plans to redesign the options screen for versions after Firefox 4, to make it easier to use. If you want to know more about the redesign, just ask.
Anyway, if that doesn't help (it probably does, but just in case), it's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. Intermittently, when I try to enter the internet through Safari, it freezes up and won't fully load in the internet. If I turn the iMac off and start it again, it seems fine. I have had my internet provider check everything from their end.

If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. This procedure is a diagnostic test. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Then click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). The text you pasted should vanish immediately, leaving the Terminal window empty. If that doesn't happen, press the return key.
If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. Type it carefully and then press return.
