When I make a call, I can hear the other person but they can't hear me? Tried everything. Took it to the local ATT store and all they could tell me is it shouldn't be happening and to take it to an apple store? Any ideas?

Try to isolate the issue. Use earphone and if the issue still happens then it might be the phone issue.
- If earphone works fine then it may be the mic on the iPhone. Try cleaning the debris on the iPhone. Finally a restore of the device and try to set it as a new device. Tha will isolate if it is a software or hardware issue.
- You can take the phone to Apple store once you have tried all this.

My signal (ATT) on my iPhone 4 seems to have gotten worse since the last OS update. In addition, frequently during a conversation, we can initially hear one another then they stop hearing me speak although I can hear them perfectly clear. Is this happening to anyone else? i was wondering if it is possible, this person i believe uses a Android or Iphone, for the camera to be turned off for video chat? I can never see the other person but they can see me - and i can see myself during the video chat. My video which they see i also see takes up the whole screen. This issue also is the same for when i use Windows and video chat with this person.

You have to enable it in SKYPE. Open up Sykpe click on tools then select options . When that windows opens select video settings. Then you well see select webcam click on White box select your web cam choices. Windos 7 HP computers it is called HP web camra filter. I just close out the filter stuff if I am not using it during chat session. Some HP computers call it cybrlink web cam. If your web cam isn't listed yet the web cam still works in other applications your Skype software might be corrupted. Try a reset:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Our iPad camera has switched off. When Skypeing we can see the other user but they can only hear us.

During a recent Skype session our iPad in England stopped sending images as if the camera had been turned off. My family can hear and see me in Australia, but I can only hear them in England. Try closing the Camera app:
1. Double-click the Home button to reveal the Task Bar
2. Hold down the Camera app for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close app
4. Tap area above Task Bar to return to Home screen
If the above doesn't solve the problem, do a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider

if you use some case or screen protector check up on where the mics on the iphone are and that your case / screenprotector and or fingers are not blocking them

Once the connection is made you should automatically see the other person full screen, with a small inset picture of yourself. Normally you only see yourself full screen after you initiate the call prior to the other person accepting it. Are you both connected to wi-fi and are you initiating the call by tapping the FaceTime button on the other person's contact?
