There were some reports a while ago about screen covers/cases interferring with the proximity sensor. If you remove those (if you have them) and the screen is clean and you still have the problem, it may be a defective proximity sensor.

I have used still photos to make a Quick Time movie using FCE. The DVD made using i-DVD looks somewhat grainy and the motion isn’t smooth when played on my TV. Other DVD’s I have made play much better and I am wondering if the problem is my Quick Time movie settings. The Dimensions and size of the problem movie are 1920X1080 and 584 MB respectively, while the movies that play better have Dimensions of 853X480 and are about 1.3 GB in size. Is this the source of my problem and how do I change things for the better.
Are you exporting to QuickTime Movie, or to QuickTime Conversion? For iDVD, you need to export to QuickTime Movie. Exporting to QT Conversion will kill the quality if you are moving the video from FCE to iDVD.
The file size per se makes no difference.
What size (pixel dimensions) are the photos that you put into your 1920x1080 sequence? Also, exactly what are the sequence properties ... is it 1920x1080i60 ... or i50? In North America it should be i60.
853X480 is an odd frame size. Where are you seeing this number? It would appear to be DV-NTSC, which has a frame size of 720x480. Your 1920x1080 frame size would not be DV-NTSC, it would be Apple Intermediate Codec. DV and AIC will look different, for sure.
Also, your quality setting in iDVD can affect the final video. You may want to check that also (in iDVD Preferences > Projects). Set it to Professional Quality if at all possible. -

I have the same problem. It only started a few days ago. When I make or receive calls I have to use speaker otherwise I can't hear a thing. I'm also pretty sure that when I try to make calls without the speaker turned on, it doesn't actually dial, but the display says it has.
I've tried restoring from a backup with no luck. I'm reluctant to restore as a new phone as it's such a pain. -
After a successful home button repair on my iPhone 4, I've got a buzzing sound when I make or receive calls. No problem with the speaker as I can listen to online radio stations and my music.
I guess your definition of a "successful repair" is different from most people's.
If you got it serviced by Apple, take it back to them.
If you had it serviced by a 3rd party, Apple won't touch it. Take it back to whoeever fixed it for you. -

With iTunes 11 you can enable the left-hand sidebar via control-S on a PC, option-command-S on a Mac. If you are trying to get it to the iBooks app then with the sidebar enabled the process should be similar to how it was on previous versions of iTunes e.g. add it to your iTunes library via File > Add To Library, connect the iPad and select it on the left-hand sidebar, and then use the Books tab on the right-hand side to select and sync it to the iBooks app.

I want to show the caption in the title bar if the tab bar is hidden.
Is there any addon or configuration setting that i can use to show the caption in the title bar instead of the tab? I want to do this because i have set my browser to hid the tab bar if only one tab is opened.
That is what i asked for but is not exactly what i want. I do not want the menubar to be shown at all. I want the tabs in the titlebar (the default behaviour). I want, when only one tab is open to hide the tabbar (this i have already succeded) and to show the caption in the titlebar.

When you make a project frame size bigger shouldn't the old clips look smaller
Im relinking 4k files to my 1920 x 1080 project. When I changed the project to 4096 x 2304, shouldnt the 1920 x 1080 clips look smaller in the viewer. The relinked new clips look the same as the old clips. Even a 1920 x 1080 motion graphic looks normal over the new 4096 x 2304 clip. The inspector shows the frame size I made both the project and the clips, but It dosent make sence that the old clips look the same size as the new clips. The first time I tried the relink to new file size I noticed the old files looked smaller, now I dont know what happened.
No. If the aspect ratio is correct, the media in the changed project will be scaled to fit the project. Select a clip (or clips) in the project and in the Video inspector open Spatial Conform. The default is set to Fit. If you want it back to normal size set it to None.

When I make changes to 'Outside' of vignette, it affects the entire image

I seem to be running into a problem in the secondaries tab of Color. When I create a circle-shape vignette and set the Control to 'Outside', I make changes and it works like how it should, it ONLY affects the areas outside of the circle. However, I created a tracker in the geometry room in order to track a face in the scene. As soon as I set the 'Use Tracker' to track the vignette, the outside settings suddenly affect the whole picture. The weird thing is, the settings for 'Inside' work fine with the tracked vignette. I don't understand how it would work fine for one and not the other.
Am I doing something wrong? Is this a bug? I'm running Color 1.0.4. The reason I'm doing this is because the shot is of a character sitting on a couch in front of a green wall. The character is leaning forward ashing a cigarette, then leaning back onto the couch. I'm trying adjust only the green color on the wall but a square or custom vignette won't work since the character face enters the area of the wall (and the light reflecting off of the wall adds a slight green color on the side of his face so it affects that).

Are you trying to transfer it from the iPad to your desktop? Have you tried AirDrop?

But your form should be dynamic and caption shouldn't use rich text formating features.
