When i mistype a web address my browser shuts down! Why?

It not only closes the page: it shuts down the entire browser!

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

Safari: When i click the MINIMIZE button, the browser shuts down! Help??

I just downloaded Safari for the first time (coz I'm jealous I don't have a Mac!). Whenever I click the minimize button up the top right-hand corner, the web browser closes completely instead of just minimizing.... Anyone got any idea why this might be happening??

I actually figured it out. I had just downloaded another program for Mac-wannabes who are stuck with Windows called Rocketdock, which provides you with the Mac version of the windows task bar for your desktop. In my Rocketdock options, there is an option that says "Minimize windows to Rocketdock" and I had this option selected. I have now de-selected it and everything is back to normal

Browser shuts down when exit frame

Does anyone have any good suggestions - on how i can exit a frame without my browser shutting down at the same time?
I am using System.exit(0); to exit which works fine on Unix but shuts my brower on a PC.
I already tried dispose() and setVisible(false) but they don't shut down all the open resources so i cant use them.
Please help me. I really need a way to do this.

That's right .. System.exit(int) is really, really, really, really bad to use in a browser. What it does is shut down the entire JVM, which will probably crash the browser if it doesn't shut gracefully. :-)
Use dispose() as previously mentioned, also dispose of all images and the like. (Perhaps keep a resource manager class around to keep track of all resources loaded, and have a single dispose method on that to make it easier to clean up.)

As well as clearing the cache and cookies you could also try closing Safari completely and seeing if it works properly you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Another option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

A windows error message appears saying iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to shut down.
let's get a crash log from itunes, and send it to the Apple engineers for a look.
Typically, you'll need to configure Dr. Watson on your PC in order to generate crash logs. Windows start menu -> Run. Type in "cmd". Hit return. At the prompt in the command line window that comes up, type in
drwtsn32 -i
And hit return.
This will create crash logs in Documents And Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson\. There'll usually be a file in here called "drwtsn32.log"
prior to collecting the itunes crash log, delete any existing crash logs in there. (we want to make sure we send the correct crash log.)
Generate the crash, collect the crash log, and and send it as an attachment to this email address.

Open Control Panel -> Check in Mouse Properties -> Remove Checkmark from "Display Pointer Trails"

You may have to restore your phone to correct the problem.

Yes phone will automatically backup to icloud when on wifi and phone is charge, but your phone storage was full so it stop backing up.

Try this: launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. If that does the same or you can't create a new library try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
or with Lion and Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE 1: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
