It what way is it acting? For example do you mean that you get messages suggesting you are running a trial? If so you need to license the software. For a subscription, sign in to Acrobat. For a purchased copy, enter the serial number.

Since then I've had multiple problems or either not being able to open PDFs with any time of security on them, and now after I use the adobe cleaner and downloaded the whole program new, nothing opens. Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

Reader produces "Access denied" while opening any PDF the second time. A LogOut/LogIn or restart is necessary to open a PDF again successfully. User works with a PC (Win7). The file is located on the desktop in a Windows 2008/2012 AD, user profile on networkshare. The same procedure with a file located on any other networkshare or locally on harddisk works without error. Analysis with processmonitor indicates that the file seems to load and then is cancelled for some unknown reason. The problem is somehow growing, beginning with 1 PC and exists now also in our Citrix environment (2 users). Access rights seem to ok and the same on all tested shares (full Access or Change rights).

Es hat mit einem PC begonnen und tritt nun auch in unserer Citrix Umgebung bei bis jetzt 2 Usern auf. Die Berechtigungen scheinen überall ok und gleich zu sein (Volluzgriff oder Ändern).

And how are you spawning the php instances? I don't see that in the daemons array anywhere.
EDIT: It looks like the info in that page is no longer using pre-spawned instances, but lighttpd adaptive-spawn. The documentation has been made inconsistent it looks like.
You will note that with pre-spawned information, the config looks different[1].
You need to do one or the other, not both (eg. choose adaptive-spawn, or pre-spawn..not both).

Check for the latest updates. Installing latest updates should resolve this problem.
Also, try to ran disk repair using safe mode in Mac, for instructions please visit: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14204
Try enabling root user profile on mac and try to check. OS X Mavericks: Enable and disable the root user

When I open a pdf the save is always as a web page only. I cant save as pdfs but I have Adobe Reader

I can open a pdf from a website but when I click on save as it only lets me save it as a 'web page complete'....I cannot therefore save a pdf as a pdf, even though I have adobe reader.

Firefox has it's own built-in PDF viewer now, so it must be an issue with the Adobe PDF plugin.

Opening any .pdf restarts computer

I recently upgraded to Adobe Reader 8.1.2. Every time I open a .pdf, click a link to a .pdf, open Adobe Reader, or try to uninstall Adobe Reader from Add/Remove Programs my computer crashes and restarts. I receive no error messages; it just restarts.

Spybot-SD Resident
Firefox 3.0 (upgraded to 3.0 after crashes began)

Cannot open pdf links in Reader 8.1.2, tries to open but rapidly switches from "waiting for....." to "connecting to...." and back again, without opening. Repaired 8.1.2 and re-booted to no avail, then uninstalled before installing reader 9, same thing. Uninstalled Spybot-SD with great difficulty and CA security crashed. Uninstalled and repaired reader 9, rebooted and still cannot open pdf links, same fault.
At a loss, any clues?

Was this purchased for an Organization or was it purchased as an off the shelf product? The installer were different for a Retail ( Single user) compared to Business use product at that time. If this was purchased for Business use, I would request you to try and login to Licensing website using the Adobe ID of the purchaser and check if the download link is available or not.

Adobe Reader showing Garbled Printer Options when trying uses preferences , or trying to open a PDF File

When I try to open a PDF file or choose Preferences . IT shows a printer options screen on Adobe Reader 11.0 . I have resassocaited the file type - I have also tried a repair and uninstall and reinstall and also used Adobe Cleaner. _ I cannot get Acrobat Reader to work correctly . What am I missing

When I open a pdf in Preview, why do the last several pdf's I've opened show up also?

You may have to use Disk Utility's 'repair disk permissions' to see if that helps.
The only time I'd found a similar issue was when I'd only clicked on the red dot
to close a window of an open application; so later, other windows opened.
Could be a minor issue; also be sure you fully quit the application after use.
Not sure the exact cause of this, in your circumstances. Sometimes odd
behavior can be fixed by simply starting up in SafeBoot. (shift key held on
startup, until desktop loads; takes awhile) This checks & does some repair
during this process, and then later on, you simply restart normal, to get the
Mac to be fully started and out of SafeBoot. I usually repair disk permissions
when it is in safeboot. The OS X is running in a reduced form in safeboot.
{some users note that there are times that you may have to enter your admin
or user password while booting in Safeboot; then resume holding shift key
until the process is completed. not sure why that would be}
Perhaps others may have insight as to what causes this; there may be a few
Console utility logs that may spew terminal lines of actions by time & date,
but I don't know what they mean. Other Console reports can include normal
underlying transactions between system software and other mysterious stuff.
Hopefully a simple restart can help the file issues in Preview.

When I try to open an PDF file in the Firefox browser, the file reconizes a HTML file instead of PDF.

See question. The Adobe plugin is installed. It looks like Firefox attaches html to the file name.

" Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder" . i can't find open containing folder in profile directory. it does give me the option to open the places.sqlite file using graphic converter. when i try that, graphic converter gives me a window saying that it can't be opened because it is corrupted or is not a file type supported by graphic converter.
i appreciate your help with a workaround to get the old bookmarks. that works. however, the problem has morphed from that concern to why adobe reader [the default app.] won't open firefox .sqlite files. is the problem in adobe reader or firefox? also, how can i tell if the places.sqlite file is corrupt?

When I Print a Document to PDF and Save a PDF the format displays differently.

We use PDF with Microsoft Dynamics GP. When we Print a document to PDF the format of the form is fine. When we SAVE a document to PDF the format is off. We believe we have ruled out application issues.

We are opening the document with Adober Reader. The same Application was used for both documents.
This image was printed from the Application to a PDF and opened in Adobe Reader.
This is the same document from the same application, but when we SAVE to a PDF the format of the gridlines is off.

I have the same problem, I usually publish to PDF with my Corel Draw x4 and recenlty no file opens all gets the same error, I am so preocupaid because all my work is based in publish to PDF files, I already reinstall all, also Corel, and is doing the same

Adobe Reader cannot create PDF files.
As well, Corel uses "in-house" routines to publish PDF from applications; so, no use or reliance by Corel on anything of Adobe's.
Yes, if you have Acrobat XI Standard or Pro installed you can to the traditional "file - print" and in the print dialog you can select the Adobe PDF virtual printer to print to PDF.
(But not with Adobe Reader as Reader does not provide, in and of itself, any means of creating PDF -- Reader is your PDF viewer.)
From what you have written it appears that you've an issue with your Corel product's featues; so, best is to visit Corel's customer support for the product.
