Try changing the date - doesn't matter to what - just change it - go back to the app and I assume that you will get the same message. Go back to the settings and change the date and time to automatic again and see if the apps will work after that. Turn location services on in the settings as well.

Same here. I don't know how to solve the problem, but I figured out a way to close the app without re-starting or resetting the phone. If you click ok and then press the home button twice really fast before the dialog box shows back up, you can put the phone in multi-tasking mode and close the app without having the shut the phone off or reset it. Anxiously awaiting the fix for this since I have several apps I use that I can access at the moment.

My ipad 1st generation keeps going back to home screen on certain apps when i try to play games,but the same games play on my laptop.The games load up and when i press play it goes back to home screen.My software is 5.1.1,don't know processor speed or memory,storage is 5.0 GB.I have tried everything i know but can't get it to work any help would be appreciated.
Hi This is because the Apps need more power now and have been updated the iPad 1 cannot run new Apps Upgrade if you can. Cheers Brian

Yes they both will to refresh the news feeds and posts. Nowadays 90% of apps use data. In my experience The only apps that MAY not use data are games.

I looked at my iphone 4 and I had two apps that needed to be updated. I pressed "Update All", but only one of them updated. The other, which is the HauteLook app, didn't, and has the little red 1 on my app store application. When I open the app store, it says it needs to be updated. When I press update or update all, the little bar shows up, then a message comes up saying "The item you tried to buy is no longer avaliable". I pressed ok, and it still says it has to be updated. I have opened the app and used it, so it's not broken. I have turned off my phone and turned it back on, and the notification that I need to update it is still there. I have tried restarting my phone, and it's still there. I have also tried plugging my phone into my computer to see if the update shows up iTunes, but it doesn't. I have had my phone for almost 2 years and this has never happened to me before. I did just recently get the IOS 6 update, but since having it, I have had to update apps and never got this message until now. If anyone has any idea how to fix this I would really appericate the help!
I suggest trying the update again after an hour or two. Sometimes, the notice that an update is available comes an hour or two before the developers actually sends the revised app out to be downloaded.

When I open my Apps tab on Creative Cloud it doesn't come up with my apps it just says "Download Error. Contact support." I have tried re-downloading it 3 or 4 times and it still doesn't work.

I have spotty signal at my home, so some functions don't work until I leave the house. I noticed on the main screen, it says I have 54 emails, but when I open the app, I only have 4. I powered down and back up. No fix. What gives?
Im having this same problem an my phone is about 3 weeks old. I am not sure about the voice over part though...I have not yet figured out how to work the voice recognition part of the phone...I am such a newbie with this phone. I did the power off/on suggestion, several times. I tried leaving it off for 10 minutes. Tried to reset with the power on/off and home button pressed at the same time. Charged battery. Still makes no difference. You cannot scroll any direction. Have to double click to open apps. Have to double click letters when texting or emailing in order to get the letter in the text box. Can scroll through app choices, have to click on the line with the dots in it and move from page to page. Can't access the settings - > general - > accessibility - because it won't allow me to scroll down to "general".
Anyone help you with your fix yet? -
My grandad has a 1st edition iPad and when he tries to download certain apps it says he needs at least iOS 5? Shouldn't this be updated automatically? Or can this be updated another way? I haven't been to see his iPad so he may not be looking properly??? Any helpers???
The iOS version is not updated automatically, though if he connects it to his computer's iTunes (if it's a recent enough version) he should be prompted as to whether he wants to update.
He should connect the iPad to his computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to his computer via File > Transfer Purchases. He may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. He can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
He can then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button

His iPad should update to iOS 5.1.1 (which is the only version that is 'signed' by Apple for the iPad 1, it doesn't support iOS 6). -

My window shrinks when I open an app
I got a problem with my Iphone window, SOMETIMES, (I say sometimes because to annoy me, it does not happen all the time, but when it does happens, a restart does not fix it, I have to put my phone in "safe mode" and then back on "normal mode", then it MIGHT work), when I open an app (it doesnt really matter what, can be camera, can be settings, whatever), looks like what it can be better described as "occuping 1/4 of the window"

I just updated my iphone 4, from 4.1 to 5.0.1 less than a day ago this obviously did not happened back then, this is but one of the problems I have been facing, another one is problems with sync but ill let that one pass now.
