When I open certain emails the scroll bars at the side and bottom flash and jump back and forth along with the email content

I recently upgraded to the latest version of Yahoo mail. Ever since then when I open certain emails the scroll bars jump back and forth and flash. This happens when I open my AT&T bill or something from Amazon for instance. A message appears at the bottom such as "Transferring data from mail.yimg.com", or "us.bc.yahoo.com". This doesn't happen when I use Safari.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • In Lion, why did Apple remove the up/down arrows in the scroll bars?  There is currently no way to move up and down in small increments.  WHY????

    Every mac operating system software until Lion had the ability to use up/down arrows in the scroll bar.  This makes it easy to move up and down in small increments.  In Lion, it is impossible to move up and down in small increments.  Click on the scroll bar and it moves up or down an entire page.  When you try to put the curser on the scrollbar and move it up just a little, it moves a whole bunch.  With the up/down arrows, you can click on the arrow and it will scroll ulp or down one line a time.  There is no way to do this in Lion. Why would apple remove the very useful feature of up and down arrows.

    Yes, agreed a missing element.
    Did you try using the up / down arrows on the key board.

  • Ever since I uploaded the new osx operating system the little arrow on the scroll bar is gone.  How do I get it back?

    Ever since I uploaded the new OSX operating system the little arrow on the scroll bar to the right is gone.
    How do I get it back?

    They're gone. Get used to 2 finger scrolling.

  • HT1766 What if an ipad is the only device you have from Apple? How could you back your things up with the cloud ?

    Hi my issue is that I dropped my ipad, and the screen is now blue. I have tried pressing the power button and the center button (I even pit it on the charger), but the screen is still blue. My questions are am i covered to get a replacement, and how do I back-up my stuff with the cloud if the ipad is my only apple device?

    If you didn't have iCloud backup turned on before you broke it, you are out of luck.
    Accidental damage is not covered by warranty.
    You can get an out of warranty replacement from Apple for around $250.

  • What happened to the padlock in the corner of the old Firefox that helped assure me that I was on a secure site along with the https in the url?.

    I just downloasded the new Firefox and then went to pay some bills online. Although I see that the URL in the address still has an https at the beginning, I miss the the locked padlock in the corner that helped assure me I was more secure.

    The padlock is no longer a part of Firefox; it can give users a false sense that a site is secure by not supplying all of the information about a site. Familiarize yourself with the '''''Site Identity Button''''' in Firefox:

  • There appears a blue strip on the right top corner every time I unlock my phone or when I open an app. It's been four months since I got my 5s! Is something wrong with the screen?

    I've been using my iPhone 5s for the past 4 months. Now suddenly, I've been seeing a blue strip on the right top corner of the phone. Should I be concerned about the screen? Is there anything wrong with my display? I'm still under warranty.

    Take it to the Apple Store.

  • The new version of fire fox keeps crashing my entire computer if i pull down the scroll bar to fast and when using sites that use flash player my other browsers work fine its only started happening since it updated to 3.6.10

    Firefox keeps crashing my entire computer if i pull down the scroll bar too fast or go to websites that use flashplayer and sometimes for no reason at all. My other browsers work fine and firefox did till the update.

    There has been a security update of the Flash Player and the current version is 10.1 r85 , so you are two versions behind (previous was 10.1 r82).

  • I can't disable the scroll bar in Mavericks

    I can't disable the scroll bar in Mavericks. I go to System Preferences>General and I select the option "Automatically" or "When scrolling". I close de System Preferences and re-open and the option selected is "Always", ever. I don't want scroll bar in my page every time, but just when I need.

    Ok, try this:
    Go to Finder
    - in the top left to the right of the black apple, go to "GO"
    - then hold down the option key on your keyboard
    - and go to library which is between the home and computer
    - in there, go to a folder called "preferences"
    - in preferences, find com.apple.systempreferences.plist
    - take that file and put it on the desktop
    - after that, restart and try to disable the scroll feature again

  • How do I lock the scroll bar on, keeping valid HTML5?

    I have a site that was originally created in FrontPage some years ago, and I have now redone it using Muse (not before time, I hear you say!)
    There were several pages on the site where the content was not large enough to need to be scrolled on most displays, and some browsers removed the scroll bar from the right of the page when those pages were visited. This resulted in a shift to the right on those pages, which made all the fixed elements move on the screen when going between pages, which I found very annoying.
    I fixed it by adding this code to the pages in question -
    <style type="text/css">
    /* Force Right Scrollbar */
    html { overflow-y : scroll; }
    </style>
    This worked fine and locked the scroll bar on, and I wanted to do the same with the Muse version of the site.
    I have added the same code using the add HTML feature, and it still works fine.
    However, if I run any of the pages concerned through a validator, I get the error -
    Validation Output: 1 Error
    Line 23, Column 28: Element style is missing required attribute scoped.
         <style type="text/css">
    I tried to find out why this was, but all I found was a lot of standards documents which were mostly way over my head!
    So, is there any modification I can do to that code to get it through the validator, or do I need to look at a different method of locking the scroll bar on on my web pages?
    Thanks for any and all suggestions!
    Dave.

    Thanks very much jgrummel and Vikas.Sharma!
    Sorry for the delay in responding.
    I have now added "scoped="scoped"" to the code, and the validater (http://validator.w3.org) is now showing just a warning rather than an error.
    "Line 23, Column 44: The scoped attribute on the style element is not supported by browsers yet. It would probably be better to wait for implementations.
         <style type="text/css" scoped="scoped">"
    I'm not too worrid about that, as it is still passing it!
    The code is inserted on the master page of my site, so it presumably propagates through to all the pages, including those that don't need it, but this doesn't seem to cause any problem.

  • Apple, please restore the scroll bar all the time.

    This is just a note to Apple asking them to return the scroll bar all the time, or at least make it an option that it's always there for all the programs in the next update of Mountain Lion. This is really a nuisance in iPhoto, but also in other programs where it disappears. What's the point anyway? It's a pain when it vanishes, and I'm not sure if the window should scroll or if I'm seeing all the content. Getting the scroll bar to show up is tough, too. BRING BACK THE SCROLL BAR, PLEASE!

  • InitialContextFactoryImpl - does this comes along with the WA Server?

    Hi,
    Does the class/package <i><b>com.sap.engine.services.jndi.InitialContextFactoryImpl</b></i> comes along with the Netweaver 2004s WAS or we need to provide the jar file from other external sources.
    If i can find this class, can you give me the name and path of the jar file that contains this class?
    Thanks in advance.
    -Venkat

    It is in the delivery, but it would be completely wrong to call it directly.
    Regards,

  • When I open Firefox, the display is not stable, can't use the scroll bar or mouse properly.

  • Firefox crashed yesterday and today it opened with the scroll bar on the left side, not the right. How do I fix this?

    Firefox crashed last night as I was closing it down. Today, when I started up my laptop and opened firefox, the scroll bar was on the left. I'm not sure how to move it back to the right side of the page.

    Did you update the firmware (to Boot ROM version 4.2.8) before installing Tiger? See Mac OS X: Available firmware updates
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86117
    Did you use a universal install CD or a CD from another Mac model?
    OS X is really "picky" about the "quality" of RAM. Many RAM modules that operate OK in classic OS do not operate OK in OS X. How much RAM is installed & does it all show up in the About This Mac/Apple System Profiler when you boot in Tiger? Check with the added RAM out.

  • Is there any way to hide or remove the scroll bars when programming?

    I wish the vi which builded by app builder can display a interface without the scroll bars even before it runs. Thank you very much!

    As was answered here, you can only hide the scoll bars when the VI is running. If you need to enter data or set options before running, then you should redesign the application with a "Go" button or a pop-up and not rely on the user to press the run arrow. Putting the controls inside a while loop would be sufficient and should be easy to do. It's that or live with visible scroll bars.
