When I open Firefox 4.0.1 in Windows 7, it often insists on opening two windows. Is there a way to get this to stop?
I did not have this problem with the previous version of Firefox.
The superfluous window has a different look to it than the window I want. The superfluous one has a pull-down menu labeled "Firefox" in the upper left corner. Opening this menu provides options for "New tab," "Start Private Browsing," the bookmarks menu, and a variety of others.

I can load that site on Safari just fine on Safari 5.1.4
Perhaps it's a cookie or a cache issue...
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab then click Details. In the search field top right corner of that window type in: wordpress.com then select it then click Remove > Done.
Now from the menu bar again, click Safari > Empty Cache.
And disable the Lion "resume" feature to avoid caching issues in the future.
Open System Preferences > General
Deselect: Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps
Quit then relaunch Safari to test.

I installed Lion 10.7.4. Went to use Photoshop Cs and got a popup window. You can't open the application Adobe Photoshop CS because PowerPC applications are no longer supported. Is there a way of getting this to work or do I have to get newest version of all of my Power PC apps?

PowerPC applications are unsupported in newer versions. You can upgrade Photoshop or you can install Snow Leopard in a partition.
1. Open Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities) and select your drive
2. Go to Partitions tab, press + button, create a new partition and press Apply
3. Insert the Snow Leopard install DVD and reboot pressing C key
4. Install it in the new partition
5. If you want to change boot, go to System Preferences > Startup Disk and select 10.7 -
Just bought an Airport extreem for my windows xp. Need Airport Utility v5.5.3. When I go to apple downloads it comes back page not available, try later. Whats up. Is there another way to get this utility so I can get started?
AirPort Utility 5.5.3 for Windows - Support - Apple works fine for me as well as a test.

My MacBook Air 2012 turns on an the key board lights up however the screen stays black but when I shine a torch through the apple sign on the back you can see the login is there a way to fix this??

Choose the method for:
"Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".

i have a iphone 4 plan and when i got the phone i asked Telstra to disable 3g so i couldn't use it. Is there any way of getting it back.
You need to arrange that with the carrier since they are the ones that disabled it.

I'm running Windows XP which is updated to latest version (which I think might be Service Pack 3, but not positive.) Mozilla Firefox is version 5.0. I tend to use Google as my search engine so most of the stuff I download comes through sites found through Google, which is also updated.
At some time in the past (maybe a few versions ago) when I would download a file from the Web, the "Downloads" window would open and in the window would be displayed the name of the file I was downloading or had just completed downloading. I think I used to be able to then click on that file name and the file (or the installation file if needed to start the new program) would open. I am currently using Firefox 5.0 (the "About Firefox" screen says this is up to date) and when I download a file or document, the "Downloads" window appears on the screen as it always has in the past, but it remains blank, i.e., nothing appears in the downloads box. I don't remember making any configuration changes, etc., that may have caused the window to remain blank, but I could be mistaken. I know how to find the items I've downloaded (My Documents / Downloads) and can usually guess what the name of the downloaded file might be, but it used to be much easier when something (anything) showed up in the downloads window.

My Android phone has Firefox installed, and is connected to Sync. Somehow, I lost all of my Firefox data (I think I know how this happened, and I'm going to address that problem with my computer next). Is there any way to pull the sync key off of my phone, since in a house-keeping frenzy I apparently deleted the sync key from my computer?

I backed my iPhone up on 08-23-2013. I lost my phone and I had to get another one. When I went retrieve my info it is was no longer there. Is there a way to retrieve?
Check the iOS version on your new phone (Settings>General>About>Version). It must be the same or higher as the one you backed up or you won't be able to access the backup without first updating your phone.

I have dropped my iPhone many times, and I think this has resulted from this.
If you have dropped and damaged your iPhone then at Apple, Replacement iPhone 5 is $229, if you have AppleCare + it will be $50. When you let Genius evaluate your iPhone they may actually decide it is covered by Warranty and be no charge, but be prepared for $229 Replacent cost.

It's really annoying that in firefox you need to type two letters, then go down using the arrow and then hit enter.
In safari it's easy: you type two letters and the url and just hit enter.Firefox 3.6 requires at least OS X 10.4, the last version that works on OS X 10.3.9 is Firefox 2.0.0.20 available from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/2.0.0.20/mac/en-US/

I currently use Chrome as my web browser and am not able to access the Ancestry.com website using it. Every attempt to sync my records fails and the manual suggests use of Internet Explorer or Firefox 3.6 However, the current download available is not 3.6 but appears to be Version 8...? (based on the first question on the Contact Us screen, which relates to having upgraded from 3.6)

You have not provided any proper technical details like what version of AI, what system, how you review your files, color management, export settings. Chances are you are trying to view CMYK files in an RGB viewer, but beyond that we can't really know anything...

I would like to designate a single device to control the Apple TV, but anytime another device enters and logs on it takes over the display and whatever is on that screne appears. Is there a way to set the Apple TV so this does not happen?
Glen beck is a conservative news commentator , he now has a tv Chanel broadcasted only by the Internet, is is GBTV I get it on ROKU. I cannot get that or FOX NEWS or CNET on my new apple TV. Love the new device with the exception of my missing networks. By the way, thanks for the remote advice it works great.

Using Firefox 3.6.12 with Firfox Sync 1.5.1. When I open Firefox I have to go to Sync settings and put in all my Sync account information. One the information is in place everything sync's up fine and I am alright until I close Firefox. Once I open Firefox again I have to input all of my Sync account settings again. Is there a way to get Sync to remember all of my settings so that it connects and syncs every time I start Firefox?
