When I open Firefox from my desktop I get a pop-up stating "This connection is untrusted", and "We can't confirm that login is secure". Am I to ignore these warnings at my own peril?

When I click on the Firefox icon on my desktop the browser appears but a pop-up also appears with the above statements. It also suggests that "this may be phoney and someone may be trying to impersonate the site and you shouldn't continue." What do I do?

From your description it sounds as if you may still have the old http://www.google.com/firefox Firefox start page hosted by Google as your homepage. This old default homepage is no longer used as '''about:home''' has been in use since Firefox 4.0
Either ignore the message, change homepage to '''about:home''', change it to another page or leave blank.

Firefox is "not responding" when I open it from my desktop.

PLEASE HELP.... When I click on Mozilla Firefox from my desktop to open it the Home Page/Yahoo comes up but will not go any further when I click on something or attempt to open another tab. At the top it states (Not Responding). I have to go into the Task Manager to close it down.

When I open firefox, the web address ishows my chosen home page but the window shows "untitled" and I am unable to connect to any site to the internet.

I chose the New York Times site to be my home page and when I open Firefox this address appears in the web address panel. But in the tab box it says "untitled" and I don't connect to any web page. I have tried reloading firefox, nothing seems to work. How can I stop this?

Firefox and default site - when I open firefox google comes up fine - but any other sibsequesnt page I have to type in google can I set up a default page for every page that I open up in a window

When I open Firefox, google comes up as my default page. This is fine but if I open additional windows next to the default page nothing comes up.
Can you set google or any other page to be the default page in any window I open. It is annoying to have to keep on typing google in every time I want to open a new page with firefox

You can modify the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page to use Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" or Google's "Browse By Name".

Getting this message "This Connection is Untrusted" and I need this next page to come up so that I can put in a job submital. Need to allow this to open????

When I open new tabs, their names will get stuck at whatever name they are first given and will not change as I navigate within them. For example, a tab will stay named "New Tab" or "Connecting..." Any advice/solutions to fix this behavior?

My problem is as the title suggests.
When I open a new tab, the title displayed on the tab will stay stuck at whatever the tab is first titled after it is opened- usually "New Tab" or "Connecting..."
The names will stay stuck at those names even if I navigate within the tabs to different pages or refresh the tabs/pages.

This morning it was working fine, but I tried to put 2 addons, "adblock" and "Forcastfox Weather" .
