When I open Firefox I get a white page with a prompt that Firefox can't load because of an open tab.
This has happened for the last two days. It happens even when I turn off the computer and start it up again. I tried emptying history and it does not allow me to do that.

after removing the virus "privacy protection" we haven't been able to open firefox without the "user terminated" message.
If you can't install on top of the current installation then you need to delete or rename the current Firefox program folder to do a clean install.
It is possible that your security software is using or locking files, so you can try to temporarily disable that software during the installation. -
If I open Weight Watchers, for example, and then click on the Plan Manager icon, the above screen comes up and hides the WW screen. I click on "History and Bookmarks". Then wait. Finally the Firefox window disappears and the requested window opens. This is a new phenomenon. It did not happen when I was a member 4 months ago. This is not just for WW, however. Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.<br />

I have mid 2010 iMac 17.5 screen with os 10.6. Went to apple site and downloaded 10.8 for 20 dollars. Here is my first question, did download the wrong thing.
The download went good. My iMac restarted an started installation halfway trough it shut my Mac off. Now when I start my Mac up all that shows up is a white screen that has a folder with a question mark in it. You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.

I just got the new itunes and I can open itunes and see my music but whenI try and go to the itunes store it just loads to a white page. I try and refresh and go to the home page and nothing happens. I can sign into my account and the tabs for the itunes store pop up like they normally would when browsing the itunes store but when I click on one of them, it is a blank page. Is there a setting I need to change? Does it just take an extremely long time to load? Please help!!

A few days ago my i mac when into grey screen; there were a few options for starting up, restoring etc i tried all of them to the extent possible but didn't work. Then i decided to unplug my external backup drive in case it may be erased or info lost in this process and now all i get when i turn it on is a white screen with a flashing folder and question mark. That indicates the computer is having difficulty finding the startup volume. Your internal HD may have failed or the system may have "forgotten" where it is. If you are using Lion or later (10.7.x or later) then restart in the Recovery Partition and choose the startup disk. Before doing anything carefully read and follow Apple's instructions in:

I did the back up as instructed... Installed a larger hard drive and followed the restore instructions... Now I get a white screen with a folder icon and blinking question mark. When trying to set startup with new drive I get a bless tool error... Help!!
If you have installed a new hard drive , you will need to have formatted it in Disk Utility correctly. This may explain your problem.
Boot into your 10.6 Install disk again at the top menubar > Utilities > select Disk utility and in there select your new hard drive, and select the tab Erase and choose to make the format as Mac OS Extended Journaled. When that is finished look in the main window to make sure that the partition map scheme says GUID Partition Table.
Now go to the Restore tab and reinstall from your backup. -
I tried to download Firefox 4.0 on my Mac Intel running OS 10.6.6. I get a message that it can not download because libsmime3.dylib is open. And now FirFox 3.6 has disappeared. What do i do?
FireFox can't open lots of files it isn't suposed to. DMG is opened by the Mac osx as a virtual volume file you just drag the FireFox icon to where you want it installed. Check your desktop for a FireFox volume... like a drive. Double click the DMG file if it is not there. This is how Mac works it has nothing to do with FireFox, many apps install this way!

Also, what are your exposure settings? Canon DSLRs do exposure simulation in live-view. So if the settings would result in an over-exposure you might be cropping in to view an all white area.
