When i open firefox, it maximizes offscreen to the right and i can't access it

i had ver 3.6.14, removed it and d/l'd 3.6.13..same thing..what can i do to fix this...i prefer firefox to explorer...please help!

Try right-clicking on the Firefox bar in the Task Bar ''(bottom of the Windows desktop display)'' and select Maximize. The browser window should snap back into position. Then close Firefox using File > Exit, When you start Firefox again that should be fixed. If it isn't, try deleting the '''localstore.rdf''' file in your Profile folder with Firefox closed. The file will be re-built when you start Firefox. <br />

Why wont my firefox homepage open when i open firefox. Ive already checked the settings and everything seems normal

When I open up Firefox the page is blank. I have to click on the tool bar to open it. Never did this before. In general options, it says on start up, "when firefox starts" And I have it set to "show my home page" Page is still blank.

Could you describe in a bit more detail what you mean by clicking on the toolbar to open your home page: are you clicking the Home button, or using reload, or using a bookmark?
Does the same problem occur when you open a new window (Ctrl+n), or only when you use your Firefox desktop icon?

Check whether the shortcut specifies any command-line parameters. Here's what I mean:
right-click the icon > Properties > Shortcut tab
The "Target" line should be selected. That line should not have any extra stuff after the following:
32-bit Windows:

64-bit Windows:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
If you see extra text after that, clear it out, save your change, and try the shortcut again. Any improvement?

When i open firefox it instantly goes to the bottom of the page then opens a new one. i cant close the pages down the bottom and they are running in the background slowly everything down

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Make sure that Firefox closes properly and that that there are no longer Firefox or plugin-container processes left on the Processes tab in the Task Manager. Otherwise session restore will reopen the page(s) from the previous session.

In order to sign out of your iCloud account that had a ID change, you would need to change the account back to the original. The reason for that is probably due to the Find my device feature and it needs to verify and if that iCloud account does not exist because of the name change and you cannot sign out. Changing it back is pretty easy and should not ask you to verify but once you change it and sign out, you can change it back to what you want it to be. Hi Shootist. I would be interested in hearing some reasoning on this. I almost always use a USB cable to connect my camera to the MBP for transferring pictures, and have moved about 30,000 this way over the last 6 years since my photography went digital. Recently, on the rare occassions when I have only a few to transfer and I was too lazy to go for the cable, I have used the card reader; about half those times I have difficulty getting the MBP to recognise the card. I find I have to press the card very hard into the slot for it to be recognised.
My rationale is quite possibly wrong, but I feel that the USB connectors are more robust and hard-wearing than the flimsy connectors on an SD card. Also, I haven't measured it, but I think the data transfer is faster with the cable. (I just came across this test, which reports noticeably faster transfer for cable than built-in card reader, but the computer was a PC)

Why is firefox sliding to the right and I can not open the window?

I have a status bar at the bottom...no problem. The problem is that when I open Firefox I see the icon for several windows opened over lapping and I can not get one of them to maximize for me. They, very quickly, slide to the right and off the screen. I ramdomly slide my mouse, somewhere off the screen and can drag a very vague window back, but it will not stay and slides to the right again. This does not happen with IE.

If still problem try the remaining items of:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

It's not that I'm typing anything in wrong, it's when I first open Firefox or a new tab. Instead of displaying the firefox page showing my recently viewed websites it's just an invalid URL. Why would I be blocked from this page?

For 2 days now this is all I get when I open mozilla/firefox.I can see the outside frame of the page eg:facebook.But I can't see the contents of the page,It doesn't matter what site I try to access it's the same.I have cleared my cache,cookies,defragged rebooted and nothing seems to work.I even tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and still no change.I rely on this browser for a lot of things I do.Help please!

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Used itunes for first time. Now when I open Firefox none of my previous tabs show and it opens itunes. I want my old tabs back!

Firefox automatically opens to itunes. I seem to have lost all my other tabs. When I look at firefox options, it still says it will open to my home page but it does not. It opens to itunes and all my other tabs are missing.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.<br />
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

Couple thoughts:
(1) Does Firefox still seem to have an active window "somewhere" based on having a tile on the Windows 7 Task Bar?
If so, how did you try to maximize it?

If you want to test a neutral page first, make sure all Firefox windows are closed, then start up Firefox from the Start menu search box using:

If that works normally, then it's something about your home page.
