When I open firefox, my homepage opens as do two other tabs I have bookmarked, but not asked to save.
Pretty much what it says above. I've got nothing saved that tells me to reopen these pages but whenever I launch Firefox, I get three tabs automatically open:
1) home page.
2) BBC radio player.
3) a message board I use.
I can't seem to find a way to get it to stop loading these pages.
I am guessing you have these others loaded in you Home page setting.

When I open thumbnail images in another tab they are pixelated, what's wrong?
When I go on any website with images they are pixelated. Placing the cursor over each image gives the me the option of pressing 'alt' and 'r' to refresh the image or 'alt' and 'a' to refersh the whole page. When I open a thumbnailed picture in a new tab, whether or not I've refreshed the page or the image beforehand, the image is pixelated and I can't refesh it. What's going on?

Every time Firefox openedSounds like you are using a dial-up connection along with a "web accelerator". If that is the case it is a feature of that web accelerator from your ISP. They speed up page loading by initially supplying lower quality images and giving you the option of loading the original, full resolution image from their cache with those keyboard commands. Other ISP's with a web accelerator feature use Contextual menu items, which are added to Firefox via an extension installed into Firefox.
As far as not having the option to load the full quality image when you open it in a new Tab, I have no idea why that option doesn't appear. You should contact support at your ISP to ask about that issue. -
hello..i use firefox 4 beta 05..my question is..why when i open let's say 6 tabs..my windows show that i have 6 instancies of firefox instead of one like it does with firefox 3.6? thanks
maybe i am saying it wrong..when i press alt+tab there is only one firefox open..but in windows 7 in the taskbar..every tab open..appears as another window openIf you are referring to taskbar previews, you can turn them off by modifying a hidden preference.

I have FF 15.0. When I open FF I always get following message: Norton Confidential does not support FF 1.5, as if I have 1.5. How do I fix this. Do I not have a secure site?
It is most likely because Firefox 15 is in beta, so norton hasn't added full support for it yet. I'd except them to update their software in the next 3 weeks (Firefox 15 gets released in about a week and a half).

I am trying to use powerpoint but when I open a document I want to work on it does not open on my desktop. It appears as open on mission control but it disappears offscreen. How can I get it to open where i need it and can work on it?

Try this...
Triple click anywhere in the line below to select it and press Ctrl+C to copy it.
cmd /k netsh winsock reset
Press the WinLogoKey+R to open the run dialog, then Ctrl+V to paste, then press enter/return.
You should get something similar to this:
Reboot the computer and the problem should be resolved.
If it doesn't work then perhaps a full tear down and rebuild of iTunes will fix things. See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for details.

i tried transferring my iphoto library from my old macbook onto my new macbook pro (via external hard drive), but when i open the new iphoto, it seems to have transferred ALL images ever used on my old macbook. so i tried to just delete all those images so i could try a different approach to transferring, but the new iphoto won't let me do anything and every time i try to delete anything it crashes (since the image amount is so high). please help!!

Link the two Macs together: there are several ways to do this: Wireless Network,Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the Library to an external HD and then on to the new machine...
But however you do choose to link the two machines...
Simply copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder on the old Machine to the Pictures Folder on the new Machine.
Then launch iPhoto. That's it.
This moves photos, events, albums, books, keywords, slideshows and everything else. -

When I open a pdf in Adobe Acrobat xi pro it is not displaying correctly. If a file is all black with orange writing, I will see only the orange writing. Its not until i print it or open crop pages dialog box that i see the background.

The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem. -

So, I got Adobe CC a year ago and I recently downloaded ABOBE CC 2014 at adobes SUGGESTION. If the cover you bought is not a legitimate apple cover than you may be having the same issue I had.
The one I purchased has a top cover swivel, if you spin it around( meaning the top case cover)
The magnet will return to the correct spot and it will work again. It is only located at one end of the case.
