The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

This is most commonly due to installing Photoshop CS/CS2 <i>before</i> doing an archive and install of Mac OS10.3 or OS10.4.<br /><br />One solution is to reinstall Photoshop 7/CS/CS3 after you have installed Mac OS10.3 or OS 10.4.<br /><br />If you have Photoshop 7 and 8(CS), the easiest way to reinstall Photoshop (without disturbing the original installation) is to install to your desktop. The problem you got into is a known problem after updating to Tiger. It is a small 4K file that gets trashed with the update. It is called the Adobe Unit Types. Both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements need this file to function.
One way to get it back is to reinstall Photoshop, the other is to add this file again.

As you trashed Photoshop, you need to completely deinstall it to be able to reinstall it. -
It also says if I continue to sync it will pretty much wipe my iPhone clear.

How can I download and use Filezilla using Snow Lion? When I try to open this application, the system tells me that I can not do this.
HelpWhat is it you're trying to do and what is the exact message? Are you trying to download the installer from the web site? Or have you downloaded the application and cannot run it? If the latter, and the message you're getting is that the application is from an unidentified developer, control-click on the app and choose "open".
There is no "Snow Lion" by the way. 10.8.x is Mountain Lion.

When trying to update to iOS 7.0.4 I get a message saying that the update has failed. I've followed the instructions on Apple Support. Has anybody else had this problem and if so, how did you get over it?

when opening itunes i got the following message: "Apple Application Support was not found. Apple Application Support is required to run itunes. please uninstall itunes, then install itunes again Error 2 (Windows Error 2)." if i do this will i lose my music library?

Why do I have to "uninstall" I-tunes for it to open? Will I lose my music library when required to do this?
Under normal circumstances, an uninstall/reinstall doesn't touch your content. (That being said, it's still always a good idea to maintain a current backup at all times in case of disasters.)

Music purchased on ipad wont play on computer. I get a message which says that the computer is not authorised to play the track but when I enter the password I get the message saying that the computer is already authorised. I have the opposite problem transfering some but not all music from computer to ipad. Can anyone help?
Interesting. Maybe it is more of a DRM issue than an Apple ID ownership issue. There is actually an iTunes Support section here on the discussion boards. I always close Firefox when I am finished with the web. When I try to open it later, I often get a message saying that firefox is currently running, so close it first. As far as I can tell, firefox is not running. The message then says to restart your computer and try again. I restart my computer and then firefox opens.

Following an upgrade of my OS from XP to Vista, I tried to point the new installation at my old profile. Now when I try to start FF, I get a message saying that it is already running and I should reboot to clear the problem. I've done that but the problem remains. I have uninstalled firefox and reinstalled v4 beta. The problem remains. Any ideas?
OK, I had moved the profile file inside the profile folder which was created when I installed FF, to the main FF folder. I then took the equivalent file which existed under XP before my upgrade to vista, and moved it into the new Profile folder. That's when I hit the problem described in the initial question.
So, what I did following Tony's response was to move the bookmarks password and cookies files into the profile created on the install. I then moved that file into the profile folder and moved the one I'd saved from XP, out to the main FF folder.
Started FF and voila! All working fine. Thanks for your help. -
Both Photoshop and Lightroom exhibit the same error. Sometimes this happens 3 times in one day or perhaps every third day. When I open either package I get a message saying that I have 00 days left in the trial and to continue I need to purchase a licence or start a trail. If I click on purchase a Licence the once I log in with Adobe ID I can get started. I have contacted Adobe chat support 6 times. They suggest deleting an opm.db file and assure me that this will sort the problem and within 24 hours back to square one
Here it happens only with photoshop cc 2014. i just deleped opm.db i will check again tomorrow.

I installed premiere elements but i cannot open it. i get a message saying that the program is initializing but it wont open. it is a new program. i uninstalled and reinstalled it twice with the same result.
