When i open itunes and click devices it closes itunes!!!!
HELP I CLICK ON DEVICES IN ITUNES AND IT CLOSES IT SAYING THERE IS AN ERROR
They should have downloaded into the Videos app (iTunes on the iPad is just the iTunes store) :
If they aren't in there then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding them ?

I have rented a movie on apple tv and wish to finish it on my mac book air. When I open iTunes on my mac book air I can not see the movie in iTunes. It is an authorised device and I can see other purchases just. How do I fix it?

When I open iTunes, I receive an error that reads "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the convenience." When I click to see the error, it reads "AppName: itunes.exe AppVer: 10.5.2.11 ModName: msvcr80.dll" Why ? I am overly frustrated. Please help. Not exactly sure which operating system I have. ModVer: 8.0.50727.6195 Offset: 00026b72Well I was able to successfully revert back to iTunes8. Here's my steps:
1. In Add/Remove Programs I deleted all Apple products (iTunes, QuickTime, Safari, Bonjour, etc.)
2. I then check C:\Program Files\ and made sure all folders were deleted (QuickTime, etc.)
3. I then ran a Registry Cleaner program to make sure all entries from Apple products were removed.
4. I then rebooted my PC
5. I then downloaded iTunes8.0.2 from here: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/ipod_itunes/itunes802forwindows.html
6. After it installed it said it could use my iTunes library file because it was created with a newer version. So I re-created my library by following these steps: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1451
It took some time but iTunes is now back up and running. And I have all my playlists, etc. I haven't tried to sync anything yet. I'm just thrilled to have my iTunes back! -
I have done my updates and itunes is no longer recognizing my iphone as a device. My phone shows that it is plugged in but when I open itunes, my iphone doesn't come up as a device.

when i open itunes its normal and then out of nowhere it says "itunes has stopped working" and i have to click 'close program'. help?
Having the same issue here....a quick fix is to just minimize the window, and immediately maximize it. It will now fit the screen. Trouble is, after you close it, you'll have to do it again when you re-start itunes. The good news is it takes all of about 2 seconds. Apple should fix this. Should.

The update itunes software box comes up when I open itunes, I click to download, the box disappears and it never starts the download. Whats wrong?

windows vista not recognizing my iphone4s when i open itunes, keep getting trust / dont trust message on phone and always press trust. Not sure why it's started doing it. Can not synch iphone at all or add new music....as itunes does not pick up the phone I have connected anymore. My ipod synchs fine still and thats over 6 years old!

When I open itunes, "Devices" does not appear t all in the left column on the screen. I can not sync my ipod with my itunes library. Suggestions?
If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar

Hi. What do you do when you open iTunes, but doesn't respond, eventhough you forcequit and open again?
You can't do much else besides pull the plug. If it causes further problems you should be able to restore as below:
Get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
On the other hand you may be able to simply start the update again. If however the update continues to fail, you should try the restore routine above. -
Hi, I have the iphone 4 and I manually deleted all the voice memos on my iphone but they still appear on my iphone when I open Itunes on my computer and they still take up space. I am soon running out of space. Any ideas to permanantly get rid of some of the voice memos?

If so, you can manually delete the albums (song-by-song) by sliding your finger across each song's name, from left to right, then select the Delete button.
Or, while your iPhone is connected to iTunes click on the Music tab that you see in iTunes (where you specify what items to sync to your iPhone). At the bottom of that window (below Playlists, Genre, etc.) you'll see songs that are "manually" added to your iPhone, just un-check those and re-sync. -
I moved my itunes library and now when I open itunes all my music lisitngs are gone
Help...I wanted the other account on my computer (pc) to be able to listen to my itunes library. I followed the instructions from Apple,
(I thought correctly) and when I open itunes on my account all the songs are gone. Its as if I never had an itunes libary. When I go to the other account on the computer and open itunes, there is an older version of the library w/ only some songs but when I click on a song, it says it cannot be located. I have noticed iTunes on rare occasions loses files. Don't know why. Keep back ups. Before updating a backup run a script such as Dougscript List MIAs so you can make sure you aren't deleting your only copy should one get lost from your main drive.
You might want to note that it is a mistake giving away the CDs. When you no longer posess the CD you relinquish the right to keep a copy of the music. Also, as you are finding, you no longer have a backup source for the music. -

In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

When I open iTunes, it will not allow me to preview or download TV shows. The preview and download options are gray and will not let me view them. I have tried installing the latest Quicktime but it tells me that I have to do software update and when I do, Quicktime does not appear to need an update. I have no idea what to do
Click on your preference and check the Parental tab for possible restrictions. Open iTunes, then click the iTunes menu, select preferences after the window opens click on the Parental icon, take a look at the content restrictions section.

this is the fix:
-Launch Control Panel - Double click Quicktime, If you do not see quicktime, look on the top left side of control panel and switch to classic view. This will then allow you to see Quicktime.
-Now click the advanced tab and click on Safe Mode GDI Only, Apply, then ok.
