When I open iTunes or even change a preference, iTunes scans through all of my apps. How can I stop this?
To get straight to the point, whenever I open iTunes or close a pop-up from iTunes, it starts scanning through my collection of applications. This has slowly got on my patient nerve. It wasn't always this was. Before I transfered all my data from my Mac to Pc, it worked fine. So I am wondering what is it doing, and how can I stop this. Bare in mind I have alot of apps. Thanks in advance for the help!

You can only use the German iTunes/App store if you are located in Germany. The German store is in the German language.

This is typical of the default NEF RAW conversion of Aperture and the best thing you can do is set up a few presets to apply to all of your RAW images to get a tone curve and colors that is pleasing to you as a default. The in camera JPEGs / embedded JPEGs (that you first see during import) are treated to the Nikon "Picture Control" settings that are set on the camera - the RAW's as interpreted by Aperture are not.

Can you open that PDF with a text editor and check that the first four characters are '%PDF'. -
My special characters screen for pages is running in the background no matter what I do. It randomly pops up and then goes away. I can't close it even though I have closed pages and restarted my computer. How can I stop this.
Try trashing the .plist with CharacterViewer in its name in Home/Library/Preferences. To get to Home/Library you may need to hold the option key down while you do Finder > Go.

It is a panel that pops up and the heading on the panel is 'Universal Access', it is actually just an image of a panel, you can't access it. I have checked keyboard shortcuts and none of them are assigned to the command key only

I have some long spreadsheets and want to go to the bottom to add new data without scrolling down through all the old entries. When I open a table now it goes to the top row and I have almost 300 rows to scroll through. I would like to set the table up to automatically go to the bottom row.

You have a couple of options. If you use 100% View Zoom, and if you leave a cell selected in the bottom row of the table when you Save and Close the document, it will reopen with that cell in view.
You could also sort your table in the opposite order and add new rows at the top. Then you wouldn't have to worry about what zoom you use. To insert a row at the top, select a cell in the current top row and press Option-UpArrow. That will add a new blank Top Body Row.

TextEdit css files auto open in Dreamweaver all of a sudden - How can I stop this?
I'm on a Macbook Pro, OS X. Whenever I open a TextEdit css file lately, it auto opens in Dreamweaver. I've never used or saved anything to Dreamweaver so I don't know why this is happening. It hadn't in the past. I need to use TextEdit specifically at the moment, to code files for school assignments.

When I drop a page into a second document the text and numbers are misaligned. How can I stop this?
I have a master PDF that I am coping pages into from a sub-portion PDF document. When I drop the new page in many characters (text and numbers) are misaligned on the recently added page and some characters have just vanished. I tried converting to PDF/A Mode for one source document and PDF/X Mode for another that seemed to fix the issue.
I'm wondering if there is a better better way, maybe some setting I can change in order to prevent my plain old PDFs from having this character jumbling?You very likely have fonts embedded in the source file that are not in the new file and that scrambles things. Why not just extract the page from the old document and then do an insert to see if that does the job. Extra work, but it might help identify the problem.

My wife and I each have an Ipad and use only one mail account. Both Ipads therefore get the same mail and when either one of us deleates an email it also deleates on the other Ipad and this can be a problem if one of us doesn't want that e-mail deleted. Obviously our Ipads are synced and I don't know how to correct this. Any advice ?
If you both have the same email account, there's no setting on iPad you can use. When a message is deleted, it's deleted from the mail account server, which will happen on both devices.

We both use the same email address which is linked to our itunes account (ithink) I registered mine yesterday and all my husbands contacts came on to my phone, so i deleted them and he lost them all on his phone :-( now if he adds or deletes anything i get it or the other way round please please helpIf you are saying that you both have iCloud accounts and use the same icloud ID, then yes, the contacts will be deleted. The idea is that all devices using the same icloud ID are kept in sync. You need to use different IDs. You can keep the same iTunes ID so you can share the songs and apps. But use different icloud IDs.

I was also missing the "extensions.sqlite" file but changing the folder properties from read only allowed that file to save.
AV installed is Bit Defender but I do not see a section there that would be protecting that folder from overwrites.That is the extension registry file file used in Firefox 3.6.x versions and is no longer used in Firefox 4+ versions (replaced by extensions.sqlite) and can be removed. There may be other leftover files if you've used this profile folder with older Firefox versions.

Hello! I was on my Mac and then I clicked on iTunes. Then I clicked on Account, and accidentally removed my device from my Mac, how can I get it back? Is the iPod still singed into the account isn Settings>iTunes and App Stores and SettingsZ>iCloudl? If it is then I would not be concerned.

When I share photos to Facebook, multiple photos that I didn't choose are posted. How can I prevent this?
Generally I would not use Facebook for sharing any photos, it compresses the photos substantially, and when you have shadows and dark colours you get visible "bands" where there should be subtle gradients, ie at sunsets and sunrises.
It sounds like you are using two methods to upload to Facebook:
1. Sharing from within Aperture, which basically syncs Facebook with your Aperture album, so any changes made at either end gets synced, hence the deletions from Albums, although the original file should still be in your library, just removed rom the album. It is like a playlist in iTunes.
2. Exporting pics and uploading to Facebook from the browser.
I am not sure how method 1 gets compressed, but I know that uploading hi-res jpegs to Facebook using method 2 results in poor quality images.
I wouldn't even bother comparing option 1 or 2, and they will both be poor images once you view them on Facebook, as opposed to viewing uploaded images on proper image sharing / hosting sites.
Your problem is not with Aperture, it is using Facebook for showing your work.
If you export pics form Aperture at high res jpegs or TIFFs your images will be fine.
If you insist to use Facebook as your way to share your work, then your workflow should be this:
1. Right click images you want to share.
2. Select Export version.
3. Export as 100% size and ensure the export settings are set at 100% quality.
4. Upload this pic into Facebook.
This will get you the best image size and resolution on Facebook.

Some snaps show up as black screens when I try to view them as single pictures.Even when I run them in slideshows they show up as black screens.These are jpeg files.How can I avoid this happening?
There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/Library/ Caches...
5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
If none of these help:
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?
