When I open mail I get a list of the messages received but when I click on a message it does not displaying the main window. I have 2 different mail accounts

Just bought a new MacMini(my first Apple PC) and when I open mail I get the brief details of mail received but whe I click on the message to read the details I get a "loading" sign but the message is not displayed.
Any help for a Dumbo would be appreciated.

Very strange, do you have any AV or Web filtering apps like Norton installed?
Do the working accounts use a different Port or Authentication than the non-working one?
The receiving email ports are:
IMAP is port 143
IMAP-SSL is port 993
POP is port 110
POP-SSL is port 995

I have found that if you have highlighted some text in the message and then hit reply, the highlighted section is the only bit included in the reply. You need to click on the message in the middle list rather than the preview pain on the righthand side and it should reply normally. To check it's doing this, select a message in the middle section of the screnn then use the down arrow to drop to the next message. Hit reply, and it should reply normally. I hope this helps.

My work recently decided to buy every full time employee an IPhone 4 to be used for work purposes. (I do suspect these are refurbished, but I don't think that matters) I have had no trouble with it, except for on occasion the mailing feature does not display the toolbar at the bottom for deleting, moving, or writing emails. You know what I'm talking about...that bar at the bottom of the mailbox when you open an email that you use to delete, respond, forward, move, etc. It just goes away for no reason, and then reappears for a day or two, and goes away again. It is quite annoying since I can't respond to any of my emails without getting on my work computer. If you have any suggestions, please help!

You may need to force close the Mail application when this happens. The next time this happens, use the steps in the article below to coles out of the mail application.

Screen briefly flashes white but does not display the page when the Safari icon or other icons are tapped.

A problem has just started with my IPAD Air after 3 months of use.
If I try to open Safari by tapping on the icon the screen briefly flashes white but does not display the page.
Similarly if I try to open Settings page, Mail page, Calendar or Clock the screen just briefly flashes but the Apps do not run.
Some of the Apps do work on tapping the icon e.g. Maps, iBooks, Appstore, iTunes, Newstand etc.
I do have some website links which display when the icon is tapped e.g. John Lewis but some links do not work.
I have ensured that the ipad is fully charged, powered it off an on again, and cleaned the screen with a lint free cloth but the
same problem keeps occurring.

I saume you used a second display at one time, otherwise the Display settings wouldn't be treating your primary display as a secondary.
IF you open your System Preferences>Displays (-System Preferences) and click "Gather Windows" it should pull everything to the display on which you clicked it.

Then you will always be sure that they are displayed correctly.

Have Firefox & Bing and when I open Firefox I get Ref A and string of characters; then when I get to Bing, no toolbar with bookmarks, etc or way to access mail.

I made Bing my browser and it was working fine until today. When I open Firefox I get a message Ref A: and then a long string of characters. I click on the home icon and the string changes. After doing this several times I get the Bing search page. I do not get the Firefox start page with the tool bar that has my book marks, history etc. I cannot clear the cache if I cannot not get the history tab. If I go the the mozilla firefox program folder and open it, there is a tool bar but cannot clear recent history, etc. there. I do not have an administrator & password on my home desk top; it is just me. I tried to follow your suggestions, but they do not apply to my situation. I really don't know if this is a firefox or bing problem. I used google before bing and had no problems; just wanted to try bing.

I cannot print from firefox. I can print from open office. It seems to have something to do with when frames open because in IE, I can print a whole page, but when I try to use a print button embeded in a page or frame it does not work.

In Internet Explorer, I was able to print by pushing the print button, but when opening a frame, like in mapquest, the embedded print button brings up an options window that has print frames options in it, but when hit OK in this box, a second error box comes up with a yellow exclamation point and nothing prints. Yes, I tried that.   The files were ordered by their original numbers as imported from the camera, but I batched them through Phocoshop to downsize all of them into a more manageable file size.   I opened that destination folder from quick time from where it said select image sequence.   I clicked on the first one and opened it.   The result was a large image with an arrow indicating a movie was ready to go.   When I pressed the arrow, though, I realized it had only imported that one frame so there was no movie.   The files are Jpgs and are about 450 KB each.
    To your knowledge are there any links to iMovie tutorials or quick time tutorials that may address this situation? Maybe there will be one I haven't looked at yet.

On the left menu item  About this Mac provides useful information.
Also did you use Software Update to determine the update?
Using Software Update can ensure you download and install the correct package for your particular Mac and OS version.

App.opendoc does not display security warning window like e.g. "open a file" function?

When I link from one PDF to the other via "open a file" function (both PDFs are located in %userprofile%/mydocuments directory), Reader X and XI open a security warning box. If I agree to open the target file, this specific file always opens without displaying the warning again.
When I link to the same file via app.opendoc, the security warning box does not open. So I do not get a chance to add the target file to the list of trusted files.
Is there any way to motivate app.opendoc to display security warning boxes due to the new sandboxing technology in Reader >= X? So that I get a chance to add the target PDF to the trusted PDFs?

Is there any chance that the application is being run from Developer Suite? In other words, is Developer Suite installed on the client machine and hosting the app?
Regardless, although anything is possible, I have never heard of what you are describing. In all cases, the dialog box should be the java dialog which is a grayish/purple color. The exact color will vary depending on the JRE version you are using.
If my first point is not the case, I would recommend that you consider using WebUtil 10.1.2.2 and also patch the AS environment to the same version. To get WebUtil to 10.1.2.2, you will need to patch a Developer Suite home and copy frmwebutil.jar to the AS home. After patching, I believe you will also find an updated webutil.pll in the DevSuite \forms directory which will also need to be copied then compiled on the deployment server.
Also, ensure that you are using Jinitiator 1.3.1.26 or newer. If you are using the Sun JRE, be sure you are using a certified/supported version. For example, you can use the latest 1.5.x Sun JRE with Forms 10.1.2.2, which is 1.5.0_15

Firefox does not display the mail on att/yahoo mail page

How can I restore the display showing my mail? I am using Firefox with Yahoo mail. For some reason it appears that the margins have disappeared and now only the first column (i.e., the column showing the "Inbox", "Contacts" and "Folders") is displayed. Nothing happens when I click on the "inbox" icon; the mail is not displayed.

I have been having this problem too of late. Buttons on the top of the inbox view are not showing up. And most painful is that the body of emails are not showing up.
I checked my IE view settings to compare them to my Firefox settings and they are equivalent (i.e., using UTF-8). On a whim, I switched my Yahoo mail to the "all new Yahoo mail" and the problem went away. Switched back to Yahoo mail classic and the problem comes right back.
So it could be a Firefox thing OR it could be precipitated by Yahoo.

Mail Program does not display the content of some AOL emails

I have an AOL email address but access my email account through the Mail program (ver 2.1). I am using both a Powerbook G4 and an iMac G5 (OSX 10.4.8) and have the same problem with both machines. When I try to read many (approx. a fifth) of my emails in Mail, I get the following (or something similar):

If I log on to the AOL server directly, I can read the email or download the attachment. Any way to fix this problem short of ditching AOL?

I have exactly the same problem, except the frequency of occurrence is much lower -- maybe one in 50 to 100 emails delivered from my AOL account does this. I don't know the root cause or if the app or the server is at fault, but the immediate cause is Mail either doesn't receive or doesn't properly process the message's headers, including the MIME 'boundary' declaration necessary to convert the raw message stream into its multiple parts, so it treats the whole thing as one long plain text message.
Standard fixes like rebuilding the mailbox or reindexing have no effect since the flaw is carried into the emlx file that stores the message. In some cases, I have been able to edit the file with a text editor to preserve some message part(s), but this is not something you should try without knowledge of MIME standards or emlx file structure.
