When I open messages on mu iPod touch the screen is blank and then goes back to the home screen after 10secs

When I open messages in my iPod touch the screen is black, I have no access to the keyboard and then after 10 secs, the screen bounces back to the home screen, why is this?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Settings.Messages>Send and Receive and sign out of the account and sign back in.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If you restored to factory defaults/new iPod and still have a problem then you likely have a hardware problem. An appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Have you upgraded to iPhoto 9.6 for compatibility with Yosemite? If not, try that first.
It looks like iPhoto has lost the connection between the thumbnails and the original image files.
This can be caused by a corrupted iPhoto library, or the originals have been deleted or moved.
Try first to rebuild your iPhoto Library:
If you do not have a current backup of the iPhoto library, make a copy of the library, but do not overwrite any previous backup.
Launch iPhoto with the ⌥⌘-key combination (option-command) held down.
Select "rebuild" from the first aid panel. This may take a while for a large library.
Can you now see your photos again?
If not, rebuild the library with iPhoto Library manager as described by Old Toad: Re: iphoto crashed

I couldnt get to the hard drive/ desktop. Soft login not even working. So i could not do any of that.
In the end i took it to Apple and its actually the hard drive on its way out. A common issue with that series of Mac. Funny seeing i dont use this mac much. However being 2.5 years old and out of warrently, Apple have recognise this issue with this series/ Model and installing a new hard drive at no cost.
Very luck and greatful. And not feeling so dumb that it was something i did or could troubleshoot myself.

(A) Restart iPad
1. Hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
2. Drag the slider to turn off iPad.
3. Turn iPad back on, hold down the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears
(B) Reset iPad

I was having some problems with my mac, safari and itunes was freezing alot. I have to force shutdown and when I tried to start up again i get to the login page, type in my password and it starts to load, but then the screen turns blue for a few seconds and it goes back to the log in screen. Somewhat similar problem:
Put in the password, hit enter, the screen goes blue for half a second, then goes back to login screen and carries on logging in as usual. Drives me mad. It doesn't happen with a fresh Lion installation, nor if booted into safe mode. On the machine in question it also happens to new user accounts.
I've removed all login items, including Startup Items and Launch Demons (pun intended) and Agents, I've compared system login plists with a fresh Lion installation - can't see differences. I've removed Little Snitch and PeerGuardian (no more third party kexts).
@Carolyn: I've done disk maintenance with DiskUtility and fsck and even DiskWarrior, cleaned caches, etc. etc.
Any ideas would be gratefully received.

My ipod touch displays a loading symbol and then goes to the apple logo and then repeats the process. I cant turn it on or off and has been this way for the past 24 hours. I have an 8GB 4th Gen and have over 7,000 pictures, but cant delete. help

My ipod has over 7,000 pictures and there are 5,00 i could easily delete but it wont let me do anything! it just has a loading symbol that converts into an apple logo and then back again. Its been like this for 24 hours and is unresponsive. Please help.

- Connect the iPod to the computer and see if iTunes sees it. If it sees it try to get the photos off the iPod.

When I try to get an app, it appears to be installing and then kicks back to the price. The app never installs.

I have been trying to install new apps to an iPad that I use with my students. I click on the app, then click the Free button, click install app, enter the password. It will say installing briefly and then kick back to free. This has happened with multiple apps. I thought that maybe it was the schools Internet filter, even though it has worked in the past. I have also tried this on my home Internet and have the same results. Any assistance would be appreciated as I am currently unable to get more instructional apps for my students.

If resetting the iPad doesn't help, try these things.
Quit the App Store app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again. Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to download an app again.
If that fails, try downloading something in iTunes. There is free content in there so find something that you don't have to pay for and download it. If that works, try the App store again.

When i stay on another tab for a long time and then goes back to the facebook tab, firefox will open the tab for about 5-10 seconds...it looks like a lag

That is most likely caused by Firefox releasing memory used in that tab to minimize the memory that is currently in use.<br />
This includes memory that stores the DOM tree and that tree needs to be rebuild to allow navigation scrolling and clicking items on the page.<br />
On complicated pages that have a lot of elements this can take a few seconds.

thats tough man, yeah exchanging it is the best option. But why do people always leave a message saying" i'll probably just by an ipod" and it's usually followed by, "even though i don't like apple or ipod" . I mean fine, if u feel like giving up on the zen micro thats fine, i personally don't care if you're going to buy an ipod. for god sakes ipod isn't even the next alternati've mp3 players, theres plenty. My question is the my daughter has an ipod touch with alot of music and games on it, but the computer that had itunes in it and all the apps and music is now gone. How can I transfer all her games and music her new computer without loosing her stuff?

My daughter has an ipod touch with alot of games and music on it. The computer it was synced to is forever gone and on her new computer some of the games dont show up along with her music. She is worried if she connects it to her new computer all will be lost. Is there anyway for this to not happen? The ipod is on its last life due to a cracked screen, and as for the games she has spent money on them such as smurf village and others. When i looked at game center on my phone about less than half of that game showed up. Is there anyway to fix these things before its to late and eveything is gone forever?
