When I open Muse, I get a message that a new update is available.  When I hit install it just closes and nothing happens.  Then I got a message  I needed Adobe Creative Cloud App to resolve the issue.  I downloaded a copy of Creative Cloud desktop but it says that my Muse is up to date.  It was last updated in May but you have a new update today and it will not update.  I thought maybe I am not suppose to have the Creative Cloud update because all I have is the individual app Muse and the photography program.  So I uninstalled the CC desktop.  Then when I open Muse it says I need the CC desktop to help with the update.  So I get stopped either way.  Now I also had a Pre-Release Muse on my computer and I don't know if that complicated things.  Please advise.

All future installs/updates of Muse (and most other Adobe apps) are through the Creative Cloud desktop app. Thus you do need to have it installed.

    I still don't know how to get CC to find that I have Photoshop CC installed, but running Creative Cloud, going to Preferences and signing out, then signing in again got Lightroom CC to work.
    Since Photoshop CC is still working despite apparently not being installed things are now OK, at least for the moment. But I'm not feeling at all happy with Adobe.

    You installed the Conduit spyware. To remove it, triple-click the following line of text to select it:
    ~/Library/Application Support/Conduit
    Copy (command-C) the text to the Clipboard. Then select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
    from the Finder menu bar and paste (command-V) into the box that opens. A Finder window may open with a folder named "Conduit" selected. If so, delete the selected folder.
    Select Go to Folder again and enter:
    /Library
    From the folder that opens, delete the following items, if they exist. You may be prompted for your login password.

    Reset preferences.  Hold down Option key and start Bridge.  You will get a reset window.

    DId you download and Install the COMBO version of the last Update that you did ?
    iChat on the Install Disk is likely to be several versions behind where your OS has been Updated to.
    It needs to Match the OS level.
    iChat Updates come in the OS Updates.
    You need to run the Updater manually as Software Updates keeps records of what it has done and thinks iChat is up to date.
    If you are on Snow Leopard then the COMBO version of 10.6.7 is here
    If you are on Leopard then the COMBO for 10.5.8 is here
    Googling Mac OS X 10.x.x COMBO where x.x is the version you are up to will generally find the link to the right page if you are at a different OS version.

    What do you mean nothing happends? because after step 5/5 the sync is complete and it should go back to the normal top screen of itunes. Is this what is happning? of is it freezing on step 5?

  • Upgraded to 29.0.1 on XP. Print preview shows but when I hit print it just "dings" and nothing else, no print. No dialog box apprears either.

    Printing from all other programs works fine including Chrome and Explorer. Ever since my Foxfire browser was updated to 29.0.1 I have not been able to print webpages.
    When I hit print the computer does an audible "ding" and nothing happens. Doesn't matter if I choose File>print, f10, <ctrl> P or "print" from print preview, same thing happens.
    The printer is on-line and recognizable by other apps.
    No dialog box appears so I cannot choose a printer.
    When I hit page setup I only get "format & options" and "margins & header/footer".
    Help!

    Thank you for your question. There are two things I would try. It is possible that the printer settings may need to be reset. [[Fix printing problems in Firefox]] or you Java may need to be updated. Check if they are up to date with [http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ Plug in check]

    So after exhausting countless hours I just added the App "Google Search".  It's not as great of an interface but I can access Google Voice and keep tabs by just checking in every so often.  Better than not having Google Voice at all.

    I've loaded it in Safe mode, verified the disk (it was okay), and verified and repaired permissions and I am still having issues. When I load in Safe mode, all applications work just fine. I've deleted all contents of my downloads folder (before my computer messed up, the last thing downloaded on my computer was a word document from my friend's email that she'd opened on previous computers with no issue). I don't know what else to do. I have Windows loaded on my Mac and can log-in the Windows side with no problems (that's how I've been using my computer since my Mac side has stopped working).
    I'm running version 10.6.8.
    Any help would be appreciated!

  • When I try to open Twitter on a new tab, the tab closes and nothing happens. It works for IE and every other website.

    It doesn't even open, and the new tab just closes. I don't know what happened, it was working fine just a little bit ago.

    Try the following:
    Create a Restore Point in case u need to back out of these changes.
    Close and reopen Internet Explorer .
    Click the Tools button, and then click Internet options.
    Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.
    In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, Check the "Delete Personal Setting" box and click Reset.
    When IE finishes applying default settings, click Close, and then click OK.
    Restart your PC for these changes to take effect.
    If the above doesn't fix the problem it could be corrupt data in your login profile.  To check this try creating a new login id and  running ie in the new login.

  • When I open Firefox, I get a page that says that Firefox did not direct properly and to try again. When I click the try again, the home page opens. What can I do to avoid this. It just started today. Rebooting does not help.

    This happens only with the home page when I open the browser.

    Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
    * Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
    "Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    * Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

  • When creating an event the dialog box appears I set the description & time and press save and close and nothing happens. I have reloaded lightening to no avail

    When I try to create an event I click on the date and put the information in the dialog box and click Save& Close but nothing happens. THe dialog box just stays there. I have made sure I am on the latest version of Thunderbird and Lightening. I have deleted lightening and reinstalled from the website and still the same thing.

    I am having this problem.  At first with the new iPhone 5, and then with the iPad 2.  I am not sure why this is happening. 
    My gut feeling is this is an iO6 issue and here's why -
    The problem mainly occurs with apps.  I have about 150 apps, and when I plugged in the phone, iTunes went to sync all of them.  The process would hang up after about 20 - 30 apps were loaded onto the phone. I could tell where about the process hung up because the apps on the phone showed up as "waiting".
    Then on the iPad 2 I plugged in to sync and saw there was a huge "Other" component in my storage.  It required me to restore the iPad 2 from backup.  With this restore the same issues occurred - putting the apps back on the iPad would hang up.  The videos on the iPad also got stuck - maybe after about 10 hours of videos transfered iTunes crashed.
    My solution has been to soft reset the device, restart Windows, and continue the process until it's complete.  This is remarkably inefficient and time-intensive but everything works with patience.
    I have been wondering if others have had these same problems.
