When I open my AE project it freezes at 90%

Hi guys,
I've started using AE last week for the first time, so forgive my lack of knowledge of the program.
I've been making an animation now. It's a pretty big file but I've been editing photoshop layers on top of gopro footage.
I accidently imported the premiere pro project into the AE project and it crashed and now i can't open it.If i try it freezes at 90% everytime and it says not responding. I see all the files are loaded but it just doesnt open the project.
I'm not sure if i have Auto save turned on. And if i have, i dont know where to look for any potential auto save files.
If anyone knows what to do you'd make my day.

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details. Start by flushing out the media cache and any Premiere Pro render caches. Corruprted cache files can have all sorts of weird side effects.

When I open a new project what format do I use with clips from Canon Legria (1440x1080)?

I have Premiere Pro CS 5.5 and a Canon Legria HF S100 digital video camera. My frames are 1440x 1080. I have a widescreen Sony tv on which I want to play my video when it has been edited and burnt.
When I opened a new project in Premiere Pro I set it as follows:
Editing Mode: DV Pal
DV Pal Widescreen 23 KHZ
Pixel aspect D1/DV Pal Widescreen 16:9
However, I burnt the sequence as an experiment and lost lots due to cropping in the final version.
I used to have Premiere Elements. If memory served I set it as AVCD Full HD 1080i. I had no problems. I tried the AVCD 1080i setting on Premiere Pro but this didn't work either. I still got cropping.
Which settings are adviseable to ensure I can see the full clip on screen when it has been burnt? In addition, what is the difference between Anamoprhic and square pixels?
Sorry for banal questions. I got Premiere Pro because I was frustrated with Elements constantly crashing. I have to confess to being totally bewildered by the techinical information that I've read.

Best is to edit in HD and export to SD.
You need the AVCHD 1080i 25 Anamorfic.
Or drag a clip into the New Item icon which will give you a matching sequence for your footage.

Apart from the "Include Audio Tail" function, which can leave Logic bouncing for a very, very long time, there are generally, no discrepancies regarding the Bounce Locators:

If you get caught with a bounce that does not stop, Command . (period) should do the trick.

If the system just Restarted on it's own, Shut down while you were working on something then started back up all those changes, edits, you had done in that app, document, are gone.

When i open firefox, the first window freezes, but if i open a second it works and to leave firefox i have to control/alt/delete???

When I open Firefox, the first window freezes and won;t allow anything (bleep, bleep). Then I open another Firefox window and all is perfectly fine until I try to quit. The second window quits, but the first is still frozen and I need to ctrl/alt/del to end program and quit.

If this was reported two month ago.... why is there No info on solutions posted yet???..... I've had this problem for about two month, too.

Logic Pro Crashes when I open a new project

Hi all,
I recorded a project with Logic yesterday, saved it, and everything seemed fine. Today, when I opened the project, Logic crashes ONLY when I scroll back to the first musical bar on the project. I can play the project from around bar two, but if I scroll back any further, Logic crashes. It has done this several times today. Any suggestions?

I was wondering if you upgrade to 10.5.3 if that would iron out anything. You are running 10.5.2 still? I haven't upgraded to 10.5.3 yet, but in the past, I've had issues with Final Cut Pro freezing and the latest version of the OS resolved the problem somehow. DON'T DO IT YET THOUGH!!!
I would post the error log message if it's giving you one. Someone who knows how to read that stuff may help you. Just a thought.

Premiere Pro CC (2014 version) crashes (beach ball) when trying open certain large Projects

Hi,
I'm currently editing for a TV channel using the latest version of Premiere Pro CC and certain projects (it seems to be with ones with a lot of footage) crash when I open it. Basically, it doesn't even load all the footage up, one that crashed just now said it had around 140 files left to load, but the beach ball arrives and I sat there waiting for half an hour and nothing happen, apart from the beach ball spinning.
Now, we're on an high spec iMac 3.5Ghz i, 32GB ram, 512gb Flash Storage, 4GB Geforce Graphics card, so I don't think the issue can be the mac, unless the macs faulty, but seems to work fine, when I create new projects etc.
Also, their workflow uses USB 3.0 drives, could this be the bottle-neck making them crash? That being said I've edited lots off my USB 3.0 drive at home and my desktop is a lot weaker then this iMac.
Any ideas what the issue may be?

Hi Matt,
Please mention the exact version of Premiere Pro. Assuming you are using 2014 version, please try some steps mentioned below.
1. Clean the media cache files by navigating to /Users/User Name/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common
2. Check the version of the drivers of your NVidia card. So, go to Apple Menu>System Preferences and check if you have a CUDA Preference pane if it is not there then go to the below link and update the Card to latest drivers.

3. Also, please mention if you have any third party plugins used in the project. If yes, then try to update those Plugins or copy and paste those plugins to some other location and Trash them from MediaCore of Premiere Pro. The location of third party plugins is mentioned below.
Startup Drive or MAC HD /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0

Mostly 80% of all the time when i open new tabs my firefox freezes for several moments like 15 seconds then it open the new tabs

For example when i open about 5 links on google search i open them in new tabs..fire fox freezes totally freezes and the "Warn me when i open over loaded tabs" is checked on. and some times it is not about new 5 tabs some times when i open just 1 ..please help me

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Pages freezes when I open up a project

I purchased Pages off the Apple site back in March. I am working on a project that involves several images. I tired to back up to a usb and when I did the usb said no image files. Pages froze and would not let me continue to work on it. I have deleted all big images off my computer. I can't back up to google docs as it freezes. everything is causing my computer to freeze. Now I am left with a computer that is running very slow and none of the images I need. Help, my project is due tomorrow and is worth a huge part of my mark

Sounds like hardware problems, probably the Macbook's hard drive.

After effects cs 5.5 not responding when I open up a project file

I was recently working on an intro for a youtube channel and my project had been running smoothly the night before. But now all of a sudden I open it up today and it starts not responding when I try and open the file. It is running on a mac with 8 GB of memory and a 2.1 GHz intel i7 processor, I have no idea what's happening and I really need help. Thank you for your time.

I can understand that my info was vague, but I am as well a novice in after effects. I have a good bit of experience with it, but not a professional standard. I have 1 video file of average length, a photoshop file, and a word layer, no other effects really. My comp size is 1280 by 720, and I don't know what other info I could give. My other projects run fine, it seems to just be this one now that you mention it. Should I try starting a new project and just working off of that? I can understand that you need to know a lot more, but I was also just asking a general question because I felt that it might be common issue of a setting that I may have had to change, so I'm sorry my info was so vague, but that was my reasoning. I don't believe that saving and backups are my problem, but if you believe it's a means to the solution then by all means please justify that. Thank your for your time and help.

IMovie quits when I open a certain project

I have been using iMovie 6.0.3 for several years. My iMac OS is 10.4.11.
I have an iMovie project I've been working on for two weeks and have done hours worth of editing. Tonight when I try to open this project, each time iMovie starts to open, I see a progress bar of my project's name, then iMovie quits. I tried opening other projects and they are successful. How can I retrieve the work I've done in this particular project?

Hi redpen - if all else fails, Control-Click the project's icon, and choose 'Show Package Contents'. In the Cache folder you will find a QT version of your movie. Hopefully this will open in QT. Save it as a self-contained movie. You will of course have only limited editing capability with this if imported into a new iMovie project.

When i open up a project in logic, nothing appears on the screen except the ultrabeat screen.

The music plays what i've already recorded when i press play with my space bar, I just cant see the template. I used ultra beat to record drums, but Like i said, nothing is showing except the ultra beat screen. This problem only happens to one other project that i have. The rest of my projects work just fine.

All menu items greyed out when I open a multitrack project

I have been searching for an existing answer to this question, but I am unable to find one. I'd appreciate any help I can get.
When I go to send some clips (one at a time) into Soundtrack Pro, I am unable to send them into a "Pro Audio File Project" (it is greyed out). So, I then send the clip to a "Multitrack Project." Everything appears to be okay, but when I go to take an action, all menu items are greyed out.
What am I doing wrong?

HT1338 when I open my IWeb program it freezes up & I have to reboot to get out of it

I recently tried to open my IWeb program, but it freezes up every time. I make my web site with it. This is something brand new, never did this before

Try deleting the com.apple.iWeb.plist.
Quit the application.
You need to look in your user Library/Preferences for the .plist. Either hold down the option key while using the Finder “Go To Folder” command and select your user Library in your home folder or use the Finder “Go To Folder” command and enter ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWeb.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist(s) from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist(s) to where you got them from, overwriting the newer ones.
If you prefer to make your User library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.
Show User Library
You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.5. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.
