Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

Use the Firewire cable and t boot the old Mac's hard drive to the new Mac's desktop and transfer your entire iPhoto folder.
Use Disk Utiliy to erase'format HFS+ Journaled your TimeMachine drive and use the free Carbon Copy Cloner and clone your new boot drive to the external, it's hold option bootable.

My firefox at home, (version 3) does not have this happen! I'm afraid of upgrading to version 3 because of all these problems. I use FireFox for work so i really need it and I'm wasting crucial time restarting websites and updating my websites/blog/business listings from scratch. not right!

If all user-installed apps are not launching, it could be an Apple ID authorization issue. Download and install a free app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information.

I have an Ipad 2, I recently downloaded IOS 7.0.4, now when I open up Safari to search the internet it will come up for a split second then dissapear and take me back to the home screen. So it wont even let me search for anything.

My iPod is not playing films. It plays music videos, but not films. When I press play on a film the play sign will come up and then change back to the pause sign. Is there anything I can do??????

When i stay on another tab for a long time and then goes back to the facebook tab, firefox will open the tab for about 5-10 seconds...it looks like a lag

That is most likely caused by Firefox releasing memory used in that tab to minimize the memory that is currently in use. 
This includes memory that stores the DOM tree and that tree needs to be rebuild to allow navigation scrolling and clicking items on the page. 
On complicated pages that have a lot of elements this can take a few seconds.

Then the power off option will pop up. I have tried letting it die and recharging it and powering it off neither worked. Does any one have an idea on what this could be or what I can do?

If the Slide to Power Off option is coming up, that suggests your power button isn't working correctly and is sticking.
Best thing to do is bring the phone to an Apple store (make an appointment first) and have a Genius take a look at it.

If a website has a lot of thumbnails or animated gifs for example firefox will become unresponsive and sometimes either lag and use a lot of system resources i have seen it as high as 1.2GB or it will just lock up and crash.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

I just downloaded OS x mavericks. In this new safari browser when i start text to speech whole safari just freezes and stops responding and after that i have to force restart it. Any solution for that?

Its really great to just select a text and let your PC read it out load and i love that feature. But it is just not working for me in the new safari.

Mine happens very often sometimes, and it can be very embarrassing, especially just when you think you are almost done with what you are doing, only for you start all over again. Why does a loading bar appear when i open pages? it does not go away and does not allow me to close the app while it is up.

when i open my pages app a loading bar appears and cannot be removed. i have waited two and a half hors for whatever it is to load and i finally just had to force the program to close through the activity monitor. But this problem persists... every time i open the app the loading bar haunts me. i can still edit the document but the loading bar is still "layered" in front of the open app. my final question is, how do i get rid of this loading bar and what is it for?

It sounds as though Pages is trying to resume editing a bad document, or a very large one. Quit Pages, Force Quit if necessary, and then start it up again while holding down the Shift key to prevent reopening formerly open documents.
