When I downloaded iTunes 7, a box came up saying to adjust the compatability so iTunes works properly. I don't know whther this is the problem or not.

iTunes for Windows: Audio files do not play in iTunes 5 or 6
(although it's given in the context of a different problem, with different versions, it tells you what the compatibility settings should look like.)

my firefox crashing all the time when iam starting.i think it could have been do with a last time i used because i was in the web page which i signed in and before i closed the webpage i wasn't sign out.iam pretty sure because of that because when i starting the firefox its go to the web address i was in last time and its usually go to the homepage its not going there .

I want to achieve at least one of two things: either set New Tabs to open with Google automatically; or at least, to have Google pinned to the New Tab page. (Google is my home page.) When a new page opens, all the images are blank. I've read through the Help pages & tried various things. I've tried dragging Google from the Bookmarks to the New Tab, but this only opens Google. I've tried clicking on the blank images, but nothing happens. I've toggled the blank images off for now, so at least I don't need to look at them. I am doing a university course online, so efficiency is really important to me! Those extra clicks really add up & distract!... Thanks in advance :)

IOS 7 changed all the colors. How do you change it back?
When I upgraded to IOS 7, the default colors changed. They are too light. The only thing I found was to "Invert colore" which is not too good either. Can you change the color scheme back?

I have an Ipad 2. My wife has an Ipad mini. When we plug in to Itunes (at different times) it synchs the apps from one Ipad on to the other. We don't want this. I have uncheked the box for Automatically synch apps, but it still does this.
How do I get Itues to see each Ipad as a separate item, and not try to keep them "equal" as far as apps installed?Remove the apps from iTunes with your device connected. You can basically deselect the apps that you don't want on each device. We have three IOS devices on one AppleID and they don't all have the same apps.

When i open up itunes on my computer, it says that i have 2 videos but when i sync it and check my ipod touch, it says i have no videos so it only shows up on my computer but not on my iPod touch and its a 4th Generation.

Why does itune change all the icons on my desktop to the itune icon after downloading? Then resulting in the only software that will open is itunes?
Hiya Katrina! I might have accidentally made some progress on this one yesterday.
Every time I've seen it reported and I've tried to do some work on it, it has only affected one user account on the PC.
So ... it might be related to a damaged icon cache for the affected user account. (There's one of those for each different user account on the PC. This is what I accidentally learned yesterday while trying to research a fix for a slightly different problem.)
If that's what is going on, rebuilding the icon cache might get folks past it:

... Trouble is that that's all educated(?) guesswork/speculation, and the procedure looks a bit hairy. It's the sort of thing where I'd definitely be setting a System Restore Point for the system prior to giving it a go. -

Yes, provided all the media is inside the iTunes Media folder, which is in turn inside the main iTunes folder (which is the standard arrangement) you should be able to move the iTunes folder from <User's Music> to any other path and shift-start-Tunes (option-start-iTunes on a Mac) to reconnect to it.
If the media folder has split out to another drive in the past, or media is stored outside of the iTunes Media folder, then things get a bit more complicated. I can go into details should it be necessary.

When I opened my itunes, it told me to download the latest version, so I clicked "Ok". Now i don't have itunes on my computer at all anymore. And it won't let me re-install it. What happened???
I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). I like every bit of how it looks good and new options, the thing i despise, cringe, shout and get angry about is WHY WHEN I OPEN UP iTUNES DOES IT HAVE TO SCAN FOR MUSIC THEN I LOSE ALMOST EVERY **** SONG?!?!?!?!?!? A small icon that looks like two circular arrows is on the left side below the scrubbing bar. Tap this icon once to repeat the album. The icon will turn blue when repeat is activated. Tap the icon again to repeat the current song. The icon will change to show the number 1 inside a blue circle. Touch the icon a third time to cancel any repeat. You should get your keyboard checked as it's repeating on a lot of keys and makes you look silly.
There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.
