When I open my MacBook Air to log on it dims and then lights up and deletes my password as I am typing it. Could there by something wrong?

As I open it to type in my password it'll dim and light up and then when it lights up again, it'll delete my password. It's not a huge deal. I don't mind retyping my password, but it makes me think there is something wrong with it since it does this. It's not a significiant change in display, it's almost not noticeable. I bought this Mac about one month ago, so I'm hoping I have not done something to damage it already. Thanks!

Interestingly, it appears you did manage to get your podcast accepted in the Store - if you did this with an .html feed I'm a bit surprised it worked. I wonder whether you started with an .xml URL and it got changed by accident?
If you did manage to get the Store to accept a feed with an .html extension then you will need to change its attention to the revised version of the feed. This will mean that you will have to leave the present feed where it is, upload a version with the correct extension (having checked it works) and then add the 'itunes:new-feed-url' tag to the incorrect feed as described in this page:

Of course if you managed to change the extension by accident then changing it back should do the job.

First of all, check that Messages is closed when you turn off your MacBook. This is so important because, by default, OS X will reopen all opened apps the next time you start your Mac.
Apart from that, when you go to  > Shut Down, or  > Restart, in the window you see to restart or turn off your MacBook, unmark "Reopen windows when logging back in". This will avoid that your Mac opens all opened apps the next time you start the MacBook, so Messages won't start automatically at startup

Please read this whole message before doing anything. This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it. Step 1 The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up guest users” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.” While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin. Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem? After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it. *Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing. I purchased keynote, numbers, and pages when i bought my macbook air in late september. the december update will not load because it says i do not own the software and returns an error messgae 100. i have read manuals and looked over the web but i cannot figure out how to get this software update to identify that i do own these three pieces of software. they are installed and usable. any ideas would be appreciated before i call apple support.

First, make sure you are logged into the App Store with the same AppleID that you used to purchase the apps.
If that is not it, look in the App Store under Purchases. Are they there?
If not, go into your account in App Store and click the link to show hidden purchases.
If they are still not there, use the support link in the App Store.
If they do show up, copy all the apps to an external drive, then remove them from your Mac. Go to the App Store, Purchases, and install from there.

Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Hi ! Im desperate so please help! The thing is, I cant open my Macbook air. Whenever I open it, theres this colorful circle ( circling around ). I though its just loading but i waited a few hours for it. It turned off because its low battery. And when i turned it on again, the annoying circle appear again preventing me to type my security pass! What will I do? >.<

Try to start your mac in safe mode, i.e. switch off (by pressing the power key for some 5 sec until it switches off. then start again by pressing the power key and immediately after the startup tone press and hold the shift key until you see the apple icon.

Sometimes (pretty consistently lately) when I open my Macbook Pro it shows the screen that was there when I closed it, but everything is greyed. There is a line at the bottom that is moving across and when it finishes the color goes back to normal. But even then, the time is from when I closed it, and the computer is unresponsive. It will sometimes sit in this state for a couple of minutes or longer.
This is a six month old Macbook Pro and this happens pretty regularly, and has off and on since I first got it.
Is this just no more than annoying? I've been using Apple laptops since 2005 and never had this happen until this machine (which is my third personal one - I support two others). Any ideas on cause?

Some users have reported solving this problem by resetting the NVRAM (PRAM.)
If you've installed something called "iCleanMemory," or any other third-party software that is supposed to "clean" or "free up" memory, remove it according to the developer's instructions after backing up all data. Reboot and test. If there's no change, continue.

When I connect my Macbook Air to my TV via the thunderbolt outlet and using a Mini Display Port/HDMl adaptor, the only image that appears on the TV screen is that of my Air background. There is obviously a signal getting through to the TV, but it is not sending images of anything else, and am unable to watch video through my Air. Any advise/suggestions?

This is called "extended desktop mode". It's an extension of the desktop off to the right (by default) of your MBair screen. Grab an app and drag it off the right side of your MBair screen and it will appear on the TV.
To mirror your MBair screen on the TV you can press Command F1. This will toogle between mirror and extended desktop.
You can find all the settings in System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement tab.

Have you tried reinstalling Microsoft Word? Have you tried reinstalling Office? Have you run any updates recently for Microsoft Office? There was one that came out this week. You may wish to ask this question over at the Microsoft Word forums, there's a good chance you'll get a better answer as well. Assuming this is not the normal startup chime, one beep means no RAM...so something in the path to the RAM has failed.
Best option is the Apple store genius bar to have the techs test the system and see what is going wrong.
