When i open new page, it has the outline of a selection i made a few pages ago
this is what i see when i open a new page. it is part of a selection i made a few pages back. i can delete it and use another, blank layer, but when i "fill" the layer, this is what it is filled with. relatively familiar with photoshop basics, have never come across this. input welcomed.

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

If I switch from window mode to full screen mode and vice versa everything gets to look normal.
I've used Classic Theme Reestorer addon, but the same problem occurs when this addon is uninstalled. Restaring computer, reinstalling firefox etc didn't help, I still get these annoying white letters in the main menu when I try to open 2 or more firefox windows.
Is there any way to fix it?Thanks, I followed your advice and disabled everyting then started turning addons one by one. The problem was caused by Hola Unblocker, now everything is ok.

I have a packardbell laptop with photoshop elements 8 installed from new. I have used it on several occasions but I cannot get it to run now. When I open a photo using elements the Adobe box pops up saying that the programme has unexpectedley quit? can anyone help me please as I have several photos to edit before the end of this month. The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.
Click the Try something new! link at the bottom of the YouTube page.
I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check. -
When I open Firefox, it goes to the first page I open, but then stops and says "Not Responding" with the mouse cursor spinning. I hit the close button and it says Windows is searching for a solution (which doesn't come).

Can't you open any web pages in Firefox?
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Software? See if you can get it removed with some anti-malware tools. Spybot, AVG, Kapersky, et cetera...
If you know the name of the program, you could search the registry for any instance of that name and --be CAREFUL--delete them.
And I have to ask: Did you go back to Firefox after uninstalling this program and reset the "when I open a new tab..." setting? What about your home page? -

Dreamweaver is the first tool i've used that works with svn that doesn't support several types of svn meta data. If they're going to claim that Dreamweaver supports svn is should actually support svn, the current version, not a version several years old. This should have been among the first patches released, or at least after snow leopard came out (and packaged with it the current version of svn).
does anyone know if the code that handles meta data formatting is something that is human readable, or where it might be, or is it in compiled code.

When i open itunes it gives me the option to download the new version 10.3. my computer will not support 10.3. i can't by pass the download to continue with my current version of itunes. i've trashed and reinstalled 8.2.1 twice. any solutions?
I am in the same boat. I tried repeatedly to contact iTunes support, but was told each time that I had contacted the wrong deaprtment and they could not help me. There must be a way to still be able to use the iTunes store without paying for a system update. If not, I hope they will reimburse me the money I have in my acount.

Not the iPad - your computer must be running iTunes 10.7 in order to sync. It has nothing to do with iTunes on the iPad.

I just set up a new computer running Windows 8.1. When I go to my icloud photostream, the pictures are in PNG format NOT JPG. When I open and upload photos from the photostream, the resolution is so low that the image quality is terrible. Help?!?
Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. That message is usually a sign that you tried to roll back to an earlier build of iTunes, but occasionally I've seen it connected to a new upgrade. This technique should fix things.
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

When I open Safari, it goes to the home page but there is no tool bar at the top of the window, and the home page is in the middle of a white window that is full screen. I cannot do anything with Safari because there is no toolbar. how do I get the tool bar back.

PhillipSounds like you are in Full screen mode. Run your cursor to the top of the page and click on the blue arrows on the right hand side.

I just installed Firefox 4. In the previous version you would open a new tab by clicking on the small "Open New Tab" button at the Right Hand Side of the Tabs. This button has now disappeared in my upgrade. Firefox help still says you can open a new Tab by using the "Open New Tab" Button so how do I get it back??
I got it back by going to "customize toolbar" and hitting "restore default set"! Now there is a small tab next to my open tabs with a "+" on it.

ThanksI don't think this is possible. ttIsql only stores the (last 100) commands of the current session. Refer to "Using ttIsql's command history" in the Operations Guide. You could store commands in a history file which would be persistent between ttIsql sessions but it's not a graceful way of achieving what you want.
