I never had this problem till had to down load the new Firefox, now i get this message rather closing a page or opening it..

Disable McAfee siteadvisor and check the problem still persist or not?

Okay, I will have a window open with 4 tabs open. Why, when have more than one tab on Firefox it generates message Exc in ev handl: Error: Bad NPObject as private data! which then opens each site in a new browser

I like to work with about 6 tabs open on Firefox and typically this has been absolutely fine. Starting around November 2011 each time I have multiple tabs open when I open a new gmail message, or open an order or any other action within an open page a message pops up that reads

then that site immediately opens in a new browser window.
I do not have this issue with Google Chrome or Internet Explorer but I would rather use Firefox. I ran McAfee an extra time thinking it might be a virus but that did not help. Any ideas?

I assume it came from your latest update. I have windows vista with a 64 bit processor, and I am using the latest version of firefox. I checked to see if I was getting the same error message with explorer and I am not. It appears to be some sort of conflict with java script. Can this be corrected?

NO -- I use it to protect my surfing! Why must FireFox insist on constantly breaking 3-rd party vendor apps!?! Even IE doesn't do this.

This error message recently started popping up periodically on web pages that seem to have graphics or photos. There have been recent Adobe updates, but I can't verify which ones and whether they are the issue. On the other hand a recent Firefox update 7.0.1 indicated it was incompatible with a number of plug-ins? Could that be the source. Incidentally after I receive the message: it comes on twice, I am returned to a previous screen without further problem.

When opening a new tab, or deleting it I get this error message: Exc in ev handl: Error: Bad NPObject as private data!

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

McAfee Site Advisor 3.4.0 just came out of the addons blocklist, and you have SiteAdvisor and even though that is the current; nevertheless, you should uninstall it and reinstall it as noted in https://community.mcafee.com/message/203466 for a fresh version with only current files.

Perhaps the PLUGIN Update feature needs to be engaged to assure that both Java and Shockwave editions are current. It requires 'Help' > 'Firefox Help' > where the lower right side displays a link for Plug-In Update...

Why can't I open iTune Store on my PC? When I click on the iTunes Store box, I get the message that the iTunes Store has stopped working. This happens everytime. What is wrong with my download?

My PC is running Windows 7. I have downloaded the new OS Version for iTunes onto the computer. It all works fine from the iPod Touch, but when I click the block for the iTunes Store, I get the message that "iTunes has stopped working". What is wrong? As it stands iTunes cannot be accessed via ATV's and nor can it be streamed via AirPlay from iTunes to the ATV

Unable to open a pdf after downloading new version

I downloaded Adobe Reader version 11.0.04 for Mac 10.7.5. When a pdf is opened from the web, I can view but the print preview is blank and I can't print. When I save the pdf from the web and try to open the file, I get an error message "The file [file name].pdf could not be opened. It may be damaged or use a file format that preview doesn't recognize." Please help! Thanks.

I got things to work for me. This is what I did. Open your browser, Google or Internet Explorer. Under tools go to Options. Select the Program tab. Select "Set program as a file type or protocol with a program". Scroll down and find the pdf file type on the left. Then click the "Choose Program" bottom. Choose Adobe Reader. Then close. That's it!

After downloading new version of firefox, i didn't like it and attempted to restore my system to a previous time and version of firefox. Now firefox won't open, even the old version isn't there anymore.

Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
