When I open Safari 7.0.2 it starts opening windows without stopping

Hi,
all of a sudden, Safari starts opening windows continiously whitout stopping. All the windows appear white. I am only able to stop this by forcing to quit the app. (The Keyboard is ok, nothing pushes cmd+N by accident....) Does anyones Safari had the same issue?

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

When I try and open Microsoft Word 2011 documents on my IMAC they start opening one after another at a rapid speed and I can't stop it. I reboot and same thing happens. The documents open in rapid succession on their own and don't stop until I force close or after maybe 100 or more open I start getting the following message for each document attemting to open "This document could not be registered. It will not be possible to create links from other documents to this document" and then in paretheses the name of the document. After I click okay another trys to open. Any suggestions?

If you had multiple documents open and quit the app without closing all of the docs first, it will open them again when you launch the app. Open Word, and then close all the documents, you may be asked to save the document, if the document was already saved but you made changes to it before you quit the app, you may need to save the changes first, shorcut ( command and s keys). After you close all of the documents then quit the app and restart the computer. See if this works.

When trying to send a link, firefox will start opening new blank tabs and continue until I shutdown my computer.

This started about a month ago. When try to send a link from a page Firefox will start opening untitled tabs this continues even though I try to close Firefox. It just keeps going until I'm forced to shut down my computer. Just today the same thing happened just clicking a link within Firefox. It seems to have become very unstable.

You can have infinite tabs opening if you have selected Firefox as the application to handle a file if you get an Open with download window.<br />
Firefox should not be selected as the application to handle a file and you have to remove the action that is associated with that file type.

I figured it out!
I read a solution for something that sounded similar.
Anyone in similar position:
Open iTunes app on iPhone, and pick an option from bottom, such as music. Then scroll down to bottom of page and where your iTunes ID is, press on it, and pick sign out.
Then return to home screen, and double press home button and press and hold on first icon showing, until a minus symbol appears in the top left of icons present. Press on each minus symbol on each app in turn, until all app icons have disappeared. Then Restart the phone by pressing and hold the home button and the on/off/standby button at top of phone, until the apple symbol appears in centre of blank screen.
Swipe to turn phone fully on and open settings and scroll down to iTunes and apps option and tap that. Pick sign in and put in your apple ID, it will accept it and then return to home screen and open iTunes a you'll find it works fine
Simple really, but some like me won't think f this themselves!

I have tried EVERYTHING, AND NOTHING WORKS! I've cleared the history, unchecked the box in general preference, reset Safari, on and on. Restarted my computer. YOU name it,i've tried it.

Problems such as yours are sometimes caused by files that should belong to you but are locked or have wrong permissions. This procedure will check for such files. It makes no changes and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.

I'm expreriencing the same conditions with the same environment. Windows 8, iTunes-64 11.1.2.32, iTunes Store with a processing bar up to 80 +/- and the POPUP MESSAGE OF "iTunes stopped working. The error ...."
I UNINSTALLED, iTUNES WITH NO POSITIVE RESULT. I CHECKED THE FIREWALL AND IS THE SAME DEFINITION AS THE PREVIOUS ITUNES VERSION.
My iTunes StoreS from my iPhones ARE OK.
I'm spending a lot of time of research for WINDOW'S iTUNE with no solutions....

Problems opening safari after os x update

I recently updated my iMac that was running OS 10.5.8 to Snow Leopard 10.6.3. Once updating the OS I did all software updates which include safari. When going to open safari , I recieved this message. "you can't use this bersion of the application safari with this version of mac os x" I am using safari on another computer now.

If your trying to open Safari from the short cut on your Dock, go to your Application Folder and see if you can open Safari from there. If it opens from your Application folder, then you need to remove the older version from your Dock and Keep a new one on your Dock.

IMac startup automatically opens Safari and Text Edit

Whenever I start or restart my iMac, it automatically opens Safari and Text Edit in two small windows. This happens even even when those programs were off when the computer was shut done. Not a major problem but I'd like to fix it.

Did you check your Login items in the "Accounts" Systems Preference? You might be starting up the applications when you boot.

Open Safari in saved tabs

I want all my tabs to be saved and automatically open when I open Safari. Now I have to open Safari (it opens to my home page) then click on bookmarks > open in tabs each time I open Safari.

I'm looking for what I think is the same thing. In FireFox I save at least 5 tabs as my "Home Page", when I start FireFox all 5 tabs and pages show up. I've not figured out how to do this in Safari? I would probably use Safari more if it had this option. I keep hearing how fast it is but that's a basic function I use everyday in FireFox. By the way I'm using Version 3.0.4 (5523.15), if that helps. Can someone from Apple step up the the plate here!

Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
Restart the computer.

Can't open Safari and MacHelp

hi there,
strangely, from yesterday afternoon, ive got problems with opening some of the applications (in the morning everything was perfect and nothing really odd happened in between).
whenever i try to open safari and OS X help, it opens-loads..-and closes and i get the message that 'the application quit unexpectedly' blee and that Mac OS and other applications are not affected. thats all. so basically i cant use these two, all the others seem to work fine. one more thing is that since it occured, my power book starts up really slowly, it takes about 2 minutes to get it going. why?
i tried to sort it out in a simple way, so i run disc utillity thing and i fixed permissions and i run disc repair from the install disc level (as there was some Volume Header error - whatever it is..),and..nothing. the only good thing is that now there is no errors on my hard drive. i also checked it all with apple hardwere test and its all fine.
im not sure if that puts any light on my problem, but im coping in here the report i get after safarii closes:

For Safari you may wish to trash the com.apple.safari.plist file (this will set Safari back to default settings) and try starting the application.
