When I open up Chase Bank the window doesn't open up all the way it opens up as a seperate window inside blank tab
Like it says, I go to my bookmark for Chase Financial and it opens up inside the blank tab as a separate window on the left side. This is the only website that does this so it has me perplexed.
It is the default action in Firefox to open a new window with the home page(s).
A possibility to avoid that is a bookmarks (e.g. on the Bookmarks Toolbar) with the location set to about:blank and use Shift + left-click to open a blank window or set the Home page to about:blank and use a bookmark to open the home page.

I can log into facebook and yahoo but the will not finish loading up, I had this problem with 1e9 but i switched to firefox 5.0.1 and the problem with ie9 was it said my javascript was turned off, but i had it turned on.Thats when I switched to firefox.I am running this on a windows vista home premium system. You may have to open Mail, go to the upper left corner of the screen and click on the word Mail, open Preferences, click on Accounts, and make sure your Gmail account is still fully set up properly with all proper account and incoming and outgoing Mail Servers properly completed. When you added iCloud capability it may have upset the account settings for Gmail.

Headphone plug doesn't go in all the way
when i try to plug in the earbuds that came with my new ipod (4G, 8GB) into the headphone jack, the plug doesn't go in all the way and only goes in about halfway. i can hear music but whenever i play a song and drop my ipod in my pocket, the slightest movement causes the plug to move and pause the music. its really annoying and happens everytime. is this an abnormality with my ipod or are all ipod 4Gs like this?
Oh my gosh thank you! I didn't wanna apply too much force in fear of breaking a brand new iPod, but I was seriously about to throw it at a wall the next time the plug came out. You're a life saver.

I recently updated my OS to OS X. I had to update my word and powerpoint etc... to 2011 version, but now when I want to open a .doc file made in word 2003 it removes all the text in it! I did not back anything up! All my mums work is on there for her job and now she cant use it! I need help fast!
If you updated from 2003 that must be on a Windows machine, can you recover them from there?

I cannot receive email properly on either my IPad or my IPhone. I have had them for over a year and they have always worked fine. Until three days ago, when they both started acting up. On the IPad, when I open mail, it says it is downloading about 1,700 emails. At the very end, which takes quite a while to get to, I finally get the most recent ones. The IPad is sending emails just fine.
On my IPhone, when I open mail, it says it is downloading 100 emails, but it doesn't do that. And it gives me no new emails at all. The IPhone is sending email just fine.
I have already deleted the email accounts on both devices and reinstalled them. I've contacted the Internet service provider and verified all the right settings. The Outlook email on my desktop is working perfectly.WMV is a heavily-compressed format/CODEC, and the processing time will depend on several factors:
Your CPU, which is not that powerful in your case
Your I/O sub-system, which is likely a single HDD on your laptop
The source footage. What is your source footage?
Any Effects added to that footage. Do you have any Effects?
Each of those will have an impact on the time required.
The trial has only one main limitation - the watermark. Now, there are some components, that have to be activated, but are not with the trial, but they would be evident with Import of your source footage, if it's an issue.

Did you remove your personal data when uninstalling and have created a new default profile folder?
It is possible that you previously had an extension that set focus to the location bar.

When i click on a photo to edit, the photo doesn't show up and the area where the photo should show up is black. Why? I can edit some photos, whereas others I can not.
There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). (On iPhoto 11 this option is under the File -> Reveal in Finder.) Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/Library/ Caches...
5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
If none of these help:
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there? -

First, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and your computer has not been affected. This "hijack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so do not pay any money, call the listed number, or provide any personal information. This article will outline the solution to dismiss the pop-up.
Quit Safari
Usually, these pop-ups will not go away by either clicking "OK" or "Cancel." Furthermore, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in gray, including the option to quit Safari. You will likely have to force quit Safari. To do this, press Command + option + esc, select Safari, and press Force Quit.
Relaunch Safari
If you relaunch Safari, the page will reopen. To prevent this from happening, hold down the 'Shift' key while opening Safari. This will prevent windows from the last time Safari was running from reopening.
This will not work in all cases. The shift key must be held at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window reappears. In these circumstances, after force quitting Safari, turn off Wi-Fi or disconnect Ethernet, depending on how you connect to the Internet. Then relaunch Safari normally. It will try to reload the malicious webpage, but without a connection, it won't be able to. Navigate away from that page by entering a different URL, i.e. www.apple.com, and trying to load it. How do you set the default magnification for Acrobat. All documents that I open enlarge to 174% and are too big. I see how to change the size after the document is open by going to File/properties/initial view and saving this setting. I want all documents to open at 100% when they are first opened. Can I set this as a default view?

You might go to Edit> Preferences> Zoom
Do this without opening any particular PDF so that it applies to the program itself and not just one document.

How to delete the history on iPad in safari. Even if i delete the historie via the open book icon or via the preferences, even if the history seems blank if i click on the back arrow i CAN get all the previous visitée websites...how CAN i definitively delete the history, thank you for tour help.
If you close Safari completely e.g. via the taskbar, and then go into Settings > Safari and click Clear History and Clear Cache, then when you re-open Safari you should just get an empty page.

I upload a podcast each week using Podcast Maker. When I search the iTunes Store to determine if the most recent one is listed all the podcasts are in random order. This week's is #14; last week's is #1. Any ideas how to correct this? The odd thing is that when you try to subscribe to the podcasts, they are listed in the proper order.

When I rip a cd in itunes, then go to use another program, then come back to itunes, the cd stops ripping and the cd doesn't show up in the side bar anymore. What's going on here? I am running the x64 version of itunes in Windows 7.
