When I open up Firefox I get 2 windows one with my tabs and the other is ad on manager how do I stop the second window if I try to close it both windows clos

This problem just started when I start up Mozilla fire fox it opens 2 sessions or something the first one has my tabs form the previous session the other one is blank except for the 2nd window only has add on information, but when I try to close the second window it automatically closes the whole thing and I have to start all over again, what can I do

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox Profile Folder that store session data.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

--uninstalle completely and re-installed.
--disabled add-on.
--disable "use Hardware accleration".
--set value for cacheused under "about:config".

Just upgrade to 16- now when I open f\Firefox i get some sort of box I can barely read before it vanished can I prevent this?

What is the annoying fast pop-up box that appears and then vanishes before I can read what it is that pops up every time I open a Firefox window and how do I turn it off? This only began when I upgraded to ver 16.

Since making my initial post I discovered the pop-up had to do with checking add-ons. To get rid of it I went back to an earlier version of Firefox, deleted and unchecked the box that appeared during the instal and the pop-up went away. I never saw the pop-up during the ver 16 upgrade.
I would be happy to upgrade to 16 again if I knew I would be able to avoid that function working on my system.
The only things I ever allow to update automatically are my security software such as Norton AV and WIndows Defender. Everything else is either set to Notify Only or turned off. I update manually or at least choose what updates to accept for everything else, even Windows.
What really ticks me off about the automatic stuff is every programmer seems to believe their product is the center of the cyber universe and it is essential to go out online looking for updates before one's system security software starts up.
Mozilla is no different in its belief that it knows better than we users what is important on our systems and what is not. In order to restore my preferred method for saving history I had to load an add-on to undo that function now built into Firefox. I considered the changes made to create the "smart" history function to be invasive. I feel the same way about the damn addon pop-up.
I do not save cookies, regular or otherwise, I block tracking software and I decide if so called upgrades really are and if I want to load them. I consider anything that circumvents that decision making process to be invasive.
So if somebody can tell me how not to have that add-on checker thing functioning in version 16, I will upgrade my version of Firefox. otherwise I will just ride it out using the older version
Incidentally, I am one of those folks who prefers to use multiple windows over tabs. By labeling the address bar as the Tab bar, you caused me (an many others) to resist upgrading from 3.6. Had I known what it really was, I would not have waited until your forced me to upgrade. Incidentally, I also dislike that when I click Help to get to this site that it does so in a tab not a new window the way my system normally works. My system is set to open links in a new window and it does so except for that. That is invasive as far as i am concerned.

Firefox disconnects by clicking link in my gmail and most of time i refreshes the page few clicks. And also some problem relate with playing youtube videos. I frankly notice that i connect my net using PC Suite and also system protected with Anti virus program. So kindly check my browser and restore it's missing without using factory reset. Logic Pro 9 When I open a file which contains a composition of many midi and audio tracks, no sounds play or some tracks are playing the wrong sounds. The project was working perfect when it was saved and closed down.

Does anyone else understand what is happeneing, its like all the tracks and plugins are confused and are playing all the wrong sounds if at all. I've checked the audio setting which seem fine but cant understand where it all goes horribly wrong. Thanks

When I open up Firefox, I get three tabs instead of one. What can I do remedy this?

I also can't view things at some sites that I was able to before and with some of the facebook games, I can't access things like I could before. All of this started the same time. Firefox allows multiple home tabs, if you want to use that feature, but they all open in the same window. You do not get separate windows.
Just to clarify, the Windows Task Bar may show individual entries for each tab even if they are in a single window. You can turn that on/off in the Options dialog under Tabs: "Show tab previews in the Windows taskbar".
Could the problem be the extension named "Speedial 9.5.5"? If you don't need that one, try removing or at least disabling it. You can do that on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then your extensions should be listed on the right side.

This should always be set to zero unless a specific set of circumstances exist and you're audio drivers do not report position correctly.
On occasion, usually when importing a Logic 9 project, Logic-X randomly changes this to a negative/positive number. It's actually a bug in Logic, as it should always display the waveform.
