When i opened my ipad the keyboard was up and is locked. how do i get it to go down so i can access my control panel?

When I opened my ipad cover the keyboard was up and locked so no other screen is accessible. It was not up when I closed it earlier. How do I get the keyboard unlocked and down?

You could press the keyboard down button (shown bellow), or hold it if its not going down. OR Hold the power button for about 8 seconds until it asks you if you want to reset (slide to unlock). OR switch the little switch located on the side of your ipad (shown Below)

If you mean iOS, select the iOS device in iTunes then click Update.

If no backup exists, there is nothing to recover.

Check to see that Settings > General > Keyboard > Predictive is turned ON.

When I open my iPad the page is too big for the screen and won't shrink down. The keypad has also become very 'sticky'

Recently when I open any apps the pages are too big for the screen. They shrink when pinched but immediately become bigger again. It's very difficult to scroll too. The keypad has become very sticky. Missing letters and spaces when I type and needing to tap the keys much harder than usual

I have the exact same problem, I think. I was on my iPad 3's home page swiping R-L to locate a certain icon when all of a sudden the screen appeared to get HUGE. So big I could only see one or two icons. I couldn't even turn it off to try a reboot because after I pushed the sleep/wake button, I couldn't find the red slide bar. I finally just had to wait for the battery to die, then recharge it, and it looked normal again. I also spoke with several friends who haven either iPads or iPhones, and they've all had this happen to them. I checked my accessibility settings, and Zoom was already off. I downlooaded them both successfully to my ipad2 Videos App, the next time I synced the ipad the Movies title was erased and the remaing titles: Rentals Podcasts & Music Videos were left, what happed to the Movies title? It's possible if you computer is not authorized with your iTunes Store account it may not have transfered your purchases from the iPad to the computer. To check, Open iTunes> Select the "Store" menu along top of the program and select Authorize this computer. Sign in with your AppleID and password, this will make sure your computer is authorized for the future so you can transfer purchases from your device.

On Saturday, Sept. 3, I updated to Mozilla Firefox 6. I went into the Toolbar, I think to private browsing, but not sure now. I asked that all cookies be blocked. A window came up from my home page that said "Allow, Allow this session only, Deny Cookies." I said Deny and it told me 19 cookies were being blocked. I have never been able to get the window to leave the browser home page. In fact, I can not make any choice in that window. The window kind of shakes. The Mozilla browser is still stuck like that. I am on Internet Explorer, but I would like to have Firefox back again. What steps do I take next?

I am having a similar problem. Running Xp.
Latest revision of firefox.
After using firefox for a while if I exit, parent.lock is locked and i have to reboot to reload firefox.
I have killed all firefox applications from task manager (usually there are none). and I have tried 3 different "file unlock" programs including unlocker to no avail.
I also recently installed a program that shows -all- open files, and parent.lock is not listed, and thus not closable/unlockable from there.

Does any one know what the matrix.dms is? And why it is in my picture folder? When I open this file the unarchiver takes over and I see my entire hard drive when I scroll down I see the matrix.dms file with in the unarchiver.

Basic Troubleshooting Steps when all else fails
- Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear. (For iOS 6, holding down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.)
- Relaunch the App and try again.

- Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
- Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)
- Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
- Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.
