iTunes credits are, for example, if you download a song from the store and it's found to be corrupt - if the track can't be fixed then iTunes support will tend to give you a song credit for a free download.
When you purchase music from the store then any credits that you have will be used first, then any balance that you have (e.g. from iTunes gift cards or allowances), and any remaining amount will be taken from your credit card.

2) Click "Purchases, Billing and Redemption"
3) Click "How to recover missing purchased items"
Select the contact method appropriate for your needs, should more than one be offered.

Make sure your Mac is set to English before you go to the App Store.
Be warned however thast Pages 5, with a few exceptions is actually a downgrade with over 90+ features removed:

Is there a way to have one main cover artwork for an album that has artwork for each song?

For example The Fall by Gorillaz has unique artwork for each song but when I'm in album view it only shows the artwork for the first song not the actual cover of the album. I'm wondering if there's a way for it to display the actual album cover in album view and the artwork for each song when it's actually playing.

What?? You asked how to get all your music on your phone at once rather than downloading it to your phone from iCloud.
Go to your purchased list in iTunes and download all your music to your iTunes library, as explained in the linked article. Then sync it all to your phone using iTunes you're done. The music will be stored locally on your phone and you won't have to download it again in the future.

Unchecked items will not play unless specifically clicked on. They will not be included on shuffle and will not be synced to ipods.

The download was actually the successful part! I had no issues with it timing out or anything. My problem was the actual install, after the download was complete. The installer just stopped about a quarter of the way up on "Alternative Kits" and never made it to any of the other kits. I think I'll try installing them one at a time like you said, and see what happens. Hopefully it works!

hey everyone, coverflow is funky on my machine. many albums will show a cover for each song in that album, so you see the same cover 15 times. i can't figure out why. the album fields are identical.

If John's reply (above) didn't fix it (ie, making the problematic albums into compilations), check to see if the 'album artist' field is populated. If these fields contain different names, iTunes will think each track belongs to a different album. Blank them out and it'll assign 'various artists' to each compilation.

Also in the first page of Get Info for all tracks set the Album Artist to be Various Artists.
If you select all the tracks and right click to get info then you can do all the tracks in one go

I get the icon for "The song can't be located

I get the icon for "The song can’t be located; it may have been moved or delete" but it is there and if I play it it does play. However, it will not sync. I have thousands of songs in iTunes and this appears on many of them. Is there a quicker way of clearing the icon other than playing each track?

That icon does indeed mean that the file cannot be located (I just needed to confirm this, to avoid future confusion).
When you start iTunes, any external storage locations need to be ready to read and have the same drive letter associated with the drive as it did when you added the songs to your iTunes Library. If these conditions are not met, then iTunes will be unable to find the file.
In addition, if the file has been renamed, moved (but still on the same drive) or even deleted, by you, or any other programme, then once again, your iTunes will not be able to find the file, hence the exclamation mark.
I'm no experrt on NAS storage, but essentially, the file path to the song's file must remain constant. iTunes looks for the files as soon as it starts up.
If all your Librayr is external to the computer, you could try re-linking the whole Library to iTunes. Alternatively, I think it's going to be one at a time.
