When I play a video clip from Elements organiser I hear no sound ? . .
I have updated to latest quicktime. I am on windows 8.1 pro.I have trial version 13 Photoshop elements and have created a new catalogue. Have spent many hours cataloguing all photos and videos . Have all photos done ok but just started on videos. When I double click it opens the clip in a new window but sounds are absent when playing. All volume controls are OK . I am stuck at the moment.

Push and hold the select button on the remote while the content is playing. You should get an audio options menu. Guessing you selected one of the the secondary audio track options by mistake somewhere.

When I play a video from a CD, the sound does not go with the pictures/film. Sometimes the video just stops and will not move forward. This happens on a number of players that I have enstalled.

I have recently bought a Seagate Goflex satellite mobile wireless hardrive , i have converted some of my AVI movies to MP4 and loaded them onto the hard drive, when I try and play them through my I pad2 I can hear the sound of the movie but not see the film, somebody please help, what am I doing wrong as I have spent a lot of time converting these movies to be able to travel with my iPad and watch them. Unfortunately, the drive is pretty much restricted without hacking it. That is, you can't stream its content via standardized protocols like UPnP, SMB, FTP and the like. This makes you won't be able to access its content from any third-party apps otherwise capable of playing back AVI files from UPnP / SMB / FTP / WebDAV etc. sources.
While this is certainly not a recommendation (I can in no way be held responsible if anything goes wrong): you may want to consider extending the capabilities of the drive by installing the hack: http://www.hackseagatesatellite.com/wordpress/welcome/
It'll "open" the drive for third-party, AVI-capable multimedia apps like GoodPlayer, It's Playing etc. to directly play the files over the network. -
Adobe Flash Player 10, when installed, closes the whole computer when it is used to play any clip from U Tube or other source. I uninstalled it and there was no further trouble but, of course, I cannot view the clip. If I reinstall it the same problem persists. I have contacted my 'computer guru' but his comment is that many of his clients have the same problem but it appears to be a problem with Adobe however many other friends have put in the version 10 Flash Player and have no problems. I do not appear to have any other problems with the computer such as viruses etc and it is scanned very day for such items. I would appreciate any advice you can give as it is very annoying, thanks, RAB

On both IE8 and Firefox. Win 7 32 bit on IBM T42 - 1GB ram.
Old laptop I know but the 10.1.x.x Flash Players worked just fine. Problem started with 10.2.152.26 flash player.
Now BBC TV live and iPlayer work just fine, however YouTube does not - audio but no video. Just a black rectangle where the video should be.
Right click to get the menu and "settings" is greyed out. However select the pop-out option and the video plays. Right click on the pop-out and "settings" is available. So deselect "enable hardware acceleration", close the pop-out and refresh the window (F5) and now YouTube videos play. Switch hardware acceleration back on and now they don't.

Can no longer play photo video clips from my camera
I used to be able to play (in iphoto 6) the video clips I took on my camera. I think its stopped since I upgraded from tiger to snow leopard. Anyone any idea's
I am having the same problem as well. I have IPHOTO 6.0.6 and since I upgraded to snow leopard, my Iphoto videos are not loading and/or playing using Quicktime like they use to be able to play. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I always used internet explorer but after i downloaded windows vista service pack 2 i had a problem with the sound while playing any video , there is no sound but there is video so i switched to firefox and the same problem occurs.

When I play video clips from websites like Prescreen the sound is loud enough to hear w/out headphones. When I play my own professionally mastered video I have to wear head phones to hear them loud enough. Is there a trick in Compressor or other software to make my overall sound loud enough?

Not even close to good enough, LCD screen will crack, water will go in through the jack/charger ports..
The phone i describe has no external ports just 4-5 little pins which can't let water in or out of the device, the docking station will connect via these 4 - 5 pins for data transfer and recharging...., IPX8 standard, all the electronics are epxoyed with a glue to stop real bad shocks from drops and bangs, along with a silicon case and all the other preventative meausres means this little phone is going to outlive you.

The person gets their phone back and carries on about his day, it drops out of your pocket, how many times you ran over it because you happened to leave it behind the back tire. oh no i ran over my phone, the tough casing and the epoxy keeping it nice and safe, except for superficial damage cosmetic, the screen and phone should be working still able to make that call or send out GPS info....
Sorry nothing comes close by any company (except Sonim) in terms of what they can do... maybe even a portable charger turn it to recharge like on LED dynamos. nah maybe not. -
Why I cannot play video clips from Google News page?
It looks,like the videos on the web page are flash, which will not play on the pad. That is why the made an app. Go to the store and get the free google news app. It is laid out a little different, but any videos in it will play.

When I rotate my video clip so that is isn't viewed sideways, it has black bars on both sides and some of picture is missing. Can I rotate the image so it plays rightside up without the black bars? The image was taken by an iPhone. I am viewing it on PC
Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app. I am certain other applications also need this information. Right click one of yur clips in the event browser and choose Transcode Media. Make a test project and playthat clip. See whether that solves your lag.

The latest is happening with the 12 little video clips sent to me by Apple entitled "Get to know your new iPad"
They run from 3 to 32 seconds and then "lock-up" on my iMac.

I have Quicktime Player 7.7.2. A relative has been sending video clips from his phone since June, and until Sept. 30 both the video and audio would download. SInce that date only the audio downloads, yet I can still open and play the older saved videos just fine. I tried looking at QuickTime help info available. One place said something about purchasing Quick Pro for use with 7.7.2, but if I need that, why can I still open older saved videos? Thanks for any help.
I'm adding more information:
in Finder, my iMovie folders are all visible and accessible. When I click on a clip from iMovie Events folder, Quicktime opens and plays the clip. ALL my video is not missing - it just isn't showing up in the Event Library!
This happened all of a sudden, while I was working on iMovie project (on both computers).
All my Projects are intact, and play when I open them. -
