bought a new ipad- when I plug it in to my macbook, it doesnt show up...
Does your MacBook have the latest iTunes (11.0.1)? Assuming it does, try opening iTunes, then plug in your iPad.

Update Server
Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- Try on another computer/network

I have recently purchased an iPad. When I plug it in, iPhoto launches rather than iTunes. I would like iTunes to open when I plug in. Thoughts?
Coyote-
With the iPad connected, open iTunes. Click on the iPad under DEVICES on the left side. Under the Options window, check "Open iTunes when this iPad is connected".
In iPhoto Preferences-General, Connecting camera opens: may be what controls whether or not iPhoto launches. I have mine set to "No application".

im having problems downloading itunes to pc
Are you asking how to download iTunes to your computer, or are you asking if iTunes should open automatically when you plug your iPad to your computer?
If it is the later, it will open automatically, if you have checked that in iTunes settings. This link will tell you how to set it up in iTunes: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3927 -

Try:

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Hi,
Pretty much as the tital says really. I'm fed up of having to manually select my audio output every time I plug my macbook pro into me LED display. Can I make it default the audio to the display when plugged in?yeah- I think so, AlexGrady. see if your machine supports hdmi audio out, it should say under "about this mac"
then buy the correct adapter to your LED display. I think you also have to enable audio out via HDMI, and the adapter has to support HDMI audio passthrough
sorry, that's all I have for now

When I plug any of my phones into the computer it does not connect.
When I plug any of my phones into the computer it does not connect. I can hear a beep but that's it. I checked all of my USB cords and the same results. Normally it would download my new pictures and start charging and that no longer happens. When I plug my wall charger in the phone charges.

- Do other devices successfully connect to the network now?
- Does you iPod successfully connect to other networks?
- Have you reset your iPod?
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset network connections: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- Powered off and then back on your router

-When you restored you iPod did you restore to factory defaults/new iPod? If not try that.
- If you look at the network properties on the iPod what IP address is assigned when you think you are connected but actually have no internet connection. If it starts with 169 then the iPod never connected to the router, the 169 address are self assigned.
